  1. Re think. Our founders should be the Mr.Rangers of this great club Moses and Peter McNeil, Peter Campbell, William McBeath and Tom Vallance. Or M'Petilliam McVallanell Motompe Twilpet.
  2. Philistine. Its a radio thing.
  3. No that is captain Tom Vallance, The Lion Rampant on the shirt indicates he played for Scotland, like a cap i suppose.
  4. McBoyd is a Rangers supporter legend. I will wear it, any time any place. Can you get the hosiery as well. I wouldnt wear the hosiery in public.
  5. Helicopter Sunday, I was sitting in the living room reading the paper, one radio on Easter Rd another in the kitchen at firs park, then Mcdonald scored I was in and out of kitchen and living room about 30 times at the final whistle \i opened the window and shouted YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS at the street, there was a girl in the flat across the road, wearing sellik away top, at her verandah looking in, at the TV I suppose, her hand was up covering her mouth, shock I suppose. Hee Hee Another is the league win at pittodrie in the 80s, richard park commentating.even more distant memory is listening to the 1973 Cup Final on radio. The Tam Forsyth 3 inch belter. Thanks for reminding me of these.
  6. I thought SDM was very low key at the Championship Flaf unfurling, nipped out the tunnel quick pull on the rope and back up the tunnel again. Suspicious.
  7. Roadworks + accident I believe.
  8. Millers second goal today was Gascoignesque. I think he will beat Boyd for top scorer this season.
  9. Wind or no wind the flag did not unfurl properly. and its all his fault booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
  10. I thouht todays Flag unfurling ceremony was pathetic, here is a picture of a wonky flagpole after the flag had been unfurled as you can see it didnt unfurl. It seemed to me that SDM stuck his head out the tunnel had a quick tug at the flag and quickly disappeared up the tunnel, worried about booing perhaps.
  11. Absolutely, Tom Vallance must also merit consideration.
  12. Extra edge due to the 12 30 game, Im well up for the first game of the season, I was largely absent the last 2 seasons but will make up for it now. GERRINTAERUM
  13. Choo Choo train I think. Probably walked from Rosneath to Garelochead. I have wondered if the name matters. Rangers, lets say that when young Moses said to his fellow Gallant Pioneers, say fellows Ive found a great name for our team and the team says, whats that then Young Moses. Young Moses says, well you know how we were walking through West End Park (Kelvingrove Park) when we came up with the idea for a football team, well why dont we be The West End Strollers. The Gallant Pioneers say, thats a grand name young Moses. The West End Strollers it is. Would it have been different? , would I be writing this on westendstrollersmedia. I dont think so, I think the name has something, Rangers FC, it resonates it has something like energy in it and strength. I was saying this to a selik supporter some years ago that Rangers, Glasgow Rangers even sounds better. Any thoughts.
  14. It is said that Moses, going to Glagow once a month and coming back with speech slightly slurred, was collecting a pension from Rangers. Quite right too. Day out with old boys and a nice brown envelope pocketed.
  15. I think it is allright to let time do its thing with headstones.
  16. Yes, though strictly speaking they didnt have a ball at the time. I think there is a strong case for 5boysandabaw that includes Our first captain Tom Vallance, and Rangers finest captain imo, what an example, may do a Tom vallance thread.
  17. Garelochhead, from Rosneath. Where the seeds of the seeds were sown. And a fine looking place it is, befitting of a seed of the mighty Rangers FC.
  18. The birthplace of Peter Campbell , A Gallant Pioneer.
  19. I hve been called morbid, and I understand why some would say that. Because of the lenght of time passed ,it is an historical thing and emotional . I had a right good feeling when i stood at the grave of Moses, as if Moses was glad to have me there. Meanwhile, lots of historical photos here. http://imageevent.com/wertp
  20. Not at all, I dont mind your Moses mcNeil thread being on the homepage either. http://members.madasafish.com/~fairenough/page123.html
