Listen I completely agree. The fees paid nowadays are farcical to say the least. However with vast sums these clubs recieve from sponsorships and competing in their leagues things are only going to get crazier. Herrera assuming he has a good season and helps Utd to a top 4 finish and into the cl will justify his fee somewhat due to the extra income he will help generate. The likes of Pogba Vidal (Vidal rumoured to be one of the next signings) will go for a lot higher than £30M fee paid to Bilbao for AH, its all about what the club is willing to pay at the end of the day.

Thats what I was thinking, United met the clause and the player held talks with them and his demands were met, Bilbao then asked the player (seemingly) to reduce whatever payment he was due in order push through the deal or maybe the player offered to do it, however it is now done and dusted and Utd have themselfs a great wee player

Good signings, talk of Cavani, Hummels the young Dutch boy who scored (Depay?) the second goal, Miranda and another player due to sign before the start of the season, and thats easily £200m worth of players! Next season the EPL is going to be a very exciting league
