There's a guy who drinks in the same pub as me who's nickname is 18 in a row. Was on the Celtc buses in the 60's and 70's now a "diehard" bluenose

It was an informal 30 second chat after the meeting had closed and the response was simply that the support is a large diverse group with different opinions and viewpoints. Putting aside personal differences which some people have with others, that pretty much sums it up. My personal opinion is that the fans groups haven't done enough to come up with something that can bring a large group of the support together.

The value of Rangers from The Rangers Standard
Lisburnranger replied to bawsburst's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I'd just like to clarify that this is from the Rangers Standard not the RST. I don't have the necessary knowledge to comment on the accuracy of the article so shall refrain from doing so. A small but important point worth clearing up -
Believe or disbelieve. Your decision. I received an email at 10.15am asking if I could make a meeting at 12pm. It was too short notice for me. The email specifically said that the other groups would be represented. I don't know if Paul Murray will be there but Jim MCColl is.

As I understand there is a meeting between Jim McColl and all of the supporters groups today. It was arranged at very short notice. No idea what is being discussed.

Spivs out leaflet handed out at Ibrox.
Lisburnranger replied to rankbadyin's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
As I said a couple of times in my previous post, I don't agree with what they are doing. I'm not sure of their reasons but I don't believe it is an attempt to damage the club. I firmly believe that the people who do this sort of thing believe what they are doing is for the best based on their perception of events. Who am I or anyone else to say that they shouldn't be allowed to do that? I find myself disagreeing with a lot that you have to say but I'd never want to see your right to say it removed. -
Spivs out leaflet handed out at Ibrox.

That is quite a frightening post. I don't agree with the message they are promoting in their leaflets but to suggest the police remove them from the area because you disagree with them is staggering. They would more than likely disagree with your opinion so perhaps they should strike first and have you removed from the area? Of course that isn't going to happen because it would just be utterly ridiculous As for inciting violence, you obviously don't have a particularly high opinion of your fellow fan. Do you really think that by reading a leaflet they disagree with, people are going to descend into violence? I find it very strange to see people on here reacting angrily to a leaflet that doesn't reflect their own view. They say that if you put 11 protestants in a room you'll end up with 12 opinions, yet you demand that others share your views or face police action. There is nothing new or particularly sensational in these leaflets and they will go away by themselves without people advocating resorting to a form of facism -
Why not do something crazy and out there like invite applications? Football seems to be the only profession where not knowing who to bring in is an excuse not to sack someone for failure

Any member can stand for election. If you are proposed and seconded then the board can't stop you standing even if they wanted to. The written submission is a pen portrait to give the voting members an idea of who the candidate is and what they can offer. Fill out a form and I'll propose you and get someone to second you. You can then see for yourself that no member is excluded from standing in the election

There may be individuals within the RST who support Paul Murray, but I can state categorically that this is not a formal RST stance. Whoever told you that is incorrect

Ahmads group to return? - chris graham
Lisburnranger replied to scarkev's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I think it's quite telling that in the last couple of days we have had Leggat and now Chris writing blogs warning of the "disaster" that is Green's impending return. Regardless of opinions on Green, this tells me that in the near future we will be reading a stock exchange announcement telling us that he is back. Leggo and Chris have gone on the offensive early -
I have a sneaky feeling that this is the true motive behind the blog. Following the speculation that CG might be returning it looks like he is trying to tell us that CG and IA will come back as a package. The question of course, is it true?
-
Leggo says in his blog that Mather doesn't have a contract. It is not i feasible that he was on £ 500k and has had his package adjusted following the negative publicity. It has taken quite a while for the club (impeccable source) to get there denial out.
-
I find myself agreeing with you. I'm a tad scared now.

The fact that the thread gets locked on FF speaks volumes. Even on FF the majority realise that Leggat is a crackpot with similar credibility to Speirs and Phil McThreenames. Whatever the truth is, you're unlikely to get it from Leggo. I don't know how good Bills sources are but I do know that he has been consistent in his stance throughout all this. Also a totally uncalled for dig at another Bear by Leggo.
