  1. The board are voted on to represent the members. This constant attempt to make out that they are not representing members is very silly. If that were the case they would be voted out. I agreed with the vast majority of the statement and have no problem with the board issuing it on my behalf as a member.
  2. I suspect everything is negotiable. I don't see why anyone would want another 4 weeks of public bloodletting.
  3. I think if the EGM ends up going ahead (I'm not at all sure it will) then both sides would have 4 weeks to outline their plans. I would expect the McColl side of things to be open to as much scrutiny as anyone else and I am sure they would state their case. The thing they have in their favour, for me, is their motives. I trust them more than I trust Green, Ahmad etc. As to whether they are fit to take places on the board, that will be down to a democratic vote and I'd hope that any fans who felt strongly either way would vote on it. As things stand my vote would be going to the board changes.
  4. I think the board changes are still up in the air but they might be resolved today. I hope an EGM is avoided. Voting Easdale as Chairman would be utterly ridiculous. It depends how much the existing board want to tarnish their reputations but a move like that would be beyond parody.
  5. Green going is just the first part of what needed to happen. Hopefully we will now see board changes and the first steps being taken to running the club properly.
  6. No but if I had been what would be the problem? I'm a member of the RST and any member can make suggestions to the board. That said, I saw it at the same time as everyone else.
  7. Nah I'll be leaving them to it. It's the folk that actually want to discuss events on here that I feel sorry for.
  8. Haha! Don't worry, plenty of blazers to go round I'm sure.
  9. McLaughlin is in Kazakhstan. He'll have known about this move before the board. It's nothing to do with Rangers this time. The Green side of things via Ahmad, Mediahouse and the Easdales have never stopped talking to the BBC.
  10. Haha! I do hope Imran is looking in. Tut tut.
  11. Well that depends. The BBC have been getting their stuff from somewhere and the smart money is on the Green/Ahmad camp given their use of Mediahouse. They are certainly not getting it from the club. Hopefully Green will be sacked on Tuesday and they will both soon have absolutely no influence on the board. It was in the Daily Mail, Scotsman and the Sun. Probably made all the papers today I'd imagine. I was actually joking about the BBC not covering but a quick search there suggests they actually didn't. Which is pretty bizarre even for them.
  12. STV and various other papers. Not sure if the BBC mentioned it. They might not want to upset him in case it messes with other exclusives. Of course he also confirmed it via Bill McMurdo but I'd appreciate why you might not think that was a reliable source of information. ;-)
  13. We should have a meeting at a hotel in Glasgow to discuss this further. I vote the Radisson Blu.....
  14. The story on Ahmad was quite clear. I've got nothing to add to be honest. It seems a few folk are trying to rewrite it though. This isn't about me, no matter how much some might want to make it that way. I'd rather Ahmad did a Q&A with someone credible but I don't think that's likely.
  15. Nobody said he got a payoff.
  16. It's quite enlightening watching some people fall over themselves to believe Imran's fantasy. I think Frankie has covered the position rather well and probably in a less confrontational way than I would so I'll leave it at that.
  17. I don't have time to address this properly now but I'll do so tonight if the thread is still up.... I note the usual guys are already on here making false accusations to justify the abuse they dish out on this forum and are allowed to by the moderators and admin on this site. Let me deal with one of them. RestingInMyAccount accuses me here of being offered a place on the board (either for myself, the RST, or MD) in return for backing Paul Murray. That is simply a lie. I would not take a place on the board without being voted onto it via some sort of fan membership scheme or other mechanism. That would mean I would have to stand on my record and my ideas. I'm quite happy to do that. If people think I'm a "leech" a "parasite" a "blazer chaser" or have an "agenda" outside of the well being of the club then I'll never be anywhere near it. For the avoidance of doubt let me repeat - I wouldn't take an appointed place on the board out of principle, it has never been offered and I've never gone looking for it. It's easy to make things up and pass them off as fact on this forum and it happens all the time. The other day the same poster accused me of receiving comp tickets for a match in exchange for pushing an "agenda". Again this was completely false. However he's able to continue making up his lies because he's given a platform to do so. I think the OP has a point which I'll try to address properly later. A small, very loud section of our fanbase like to attack their own. It's happened to virtually everyone who has ever uttered anything in the press. I don't know why that is and you would have to ask the people doing it.
  18. On the contrary. I find it fucking inexplicable that some on here choose to ignore the very clear warnings given to us from both Walter and Ally and are now attempting to blame them for not being clear enough. I find it anything but funny.
  19. I believe it was if he made a statement which in any way effected the share price negatively.
  20. Aye you're right. If only they'd given us a sign. Any sign.
