    Football was going the same way under Gerrard, to me it’s the squad of players. We’re significantly weaker than last season, between injuries and loosing 3 of our best players. We haven’t strengthened and it shows, to me that’s down to the board.

    The second we let Bassey, Aribo and Balogun go any physical presence we had as a team left with them. Goldson goes off and we completely crumble. This season has been grim, Napoli could literary take 10+ off us no bother the way it’s looking.

    It wasn’t exactly a big game for Liverpool. Champions league finalists 3 of the last 5 seasons. Hardly expect the place to be rocking for a group game.
