  1. So we have had 5 confirmed bids, confirmed by Rangers? Or we believing newspapers, newspapers we claim are full of shit and have an anti rangers agenda? Or just pull that when it suits us. Again, no-one knows what's going on behind scenes. Some people on here are deluded.
  2. Think we should all wait until he signs before criticism of the board. No-one here has any idea what's been going on in the background. Saying we should have done this or that is pointless. Apply for Smiths job or go make a few hundred million and buy the club off Whyte. At the end of the day Ally, Smith and Whyte have more to gain, more to lose and have stronger feeling for the club than the cunts on here who won the SPL on a computer football manager game and think that qualifies their opinion on scouting, agents, transfer negotiations and team management.
  3. Dropping him isn't gonna improve his form. Some proper drama queens on here. Davis and Naismith excellent today hope they can carry it into malmo game. Verhoek, Goodwillie and either Cuellar or Juhasz and were laughing all the way to 4iar, even then probably people on here bitching and moaning.
  4. 10 clubs interested in Goodwillie, no offers accepted, as I said, only really been on the table a week due to rape charge, other players were rumoured for weeks before bids accepted. I have full confidence we will at the very least get to discuss terms with him. Have a little patience.
  5. Not the way I remember that deal. Goodwillie was only cleared of rape less than a week ago. Pretty sure Wallace deal took longer than that to process.
  6. Im praying he does get a game so we can see this boy is actually technically gifted and people on here can eat their words. Next to Edu he will look like Pele.
  7. Fucking hell. We couldn't just bid 2m on Wednesday. Financing 2m quid isn't like jumping down to the shop and buying a bottle of ginger. Get a grip people.
  8. Thank god someone understands the process Del. Said it many a time, Ally and even Smith will not decide how much is bid on a player, they will make recommendations to the board and Smith possibly the face of negotiations but at the end of the day only Whyte and the board know how much we have to spend and can veto any move for a player.
  9. GK: Shagger RB: Whittaker CB: Juhasz CB: Bougherra LB: Papac RM: Naismith CM: Edu CM: Davis LM: Verhoek ST: Jelavic ST: Goodwillie Bench: Alexander Wallace Gioan Broadfoot Ortiz Bedoya Ness Jig Hutton Odonkor Lafferty Healy Hemmings Great squad that would be. 2 teams that could challenge for the Spl in that group. If we miss out on Juhasz I can see Bartley and/or Cuellar filling that spot. If bougy leaves Gioan goes into first team and probably bit of rotation with Papac/Wallace to keep them fresh. If we miss out on Verhoek and Goodwillie fuck knows what we do. CB, LM and ST are a must this window.
  10. 100m sprint - Weir vs Beattie? Im going for Weir, Beattie injured during warm up.
  11. Even with a fucked knee he could hop past most fullbacks in SPL.
  12. Club c hijack rival clubs bid due to pish scouting network.
  13. Kanchelskis was rapid at Man UTD, lost it by time he got here unfortunately. Remember first time i seen Lovenkrands at Ibrox when he first joined, was lightening, didn't look it on tv but in the flesh he was like a whippet.
  14. Icke would take off the tin foil hat and call that theory bullshit.
  15. Fat Ronaldo was the same, almost identical injuries. Then came back, scored for fun at a world cup and in la liga. Not saying this guy is Ronaldo quality but it shows players can come back after several setbacks. Still quite young as well. Don't get me wrong he might be a fat cunt these days who can't beat James Beattie in a sprint to McDonald's but there's a chance if we treat him gently we could have a real gem. Really don't know what people are talking about saying he has no technical ability, the boy was tipped for big things before his injuries and not just because of pace.
  16. Ill admit it I love super ally and want him to succeed, will support and defend him to the hilt. He is the only man for the job. Whyte is spending money and has saved the club IMO so he gets thumbs up too. If Neil (and take it up the shitter) Lennon can win the support of their fans while winning fuck all and being a wee Ned with no self respect then its a travesty that we can't give Ally our full support. A true club legend, gentleman and no one can deny his love for the club. Ally wants success for our team more than anyone, his life revolves around the club and his reputation on the line. He is new to this role, give the guy a break, your support and some time and it will bring good times on the pitch, I have no doubts.
  17. Errrrr yes, but wasn't the argument Ally was given a budget and decided the bids? As I said its passed up the chain and Smith will have to run any financial decisions past the board.
  18. How many players have we signed in the last 4 seasons? Look at Jelavic last year, was it nice and simple? Wrapped up in a few days?
  19. I simply do not believe Ally decides how much we bid on players. Sure he may give his opinion on the players value but will have absolutely no input into transfer negotiations between clubs. Nor will he determine personal contracts with the players. He is the team manager not a finance director or accountant. Again, people playing too many computer games.
  20. I don't think you fully appreciate how this whole process works (not that im claiming to). This isn't like a current account with 5m sitting there for players and you just do a bank transfer. There's a lot of paperwork, negotiations, proof of funds and credit, administration etc etc. Pretty sure if we put a 1m bid which is rejected then to ammend the bid we would have to run through the whole process again. Some people seem to assume this money comes straight out of Whytes pocket, I would be shocked if that was the case. These purchases are funded by the club and so selling teams have to ensure we have the funds to meet any payments. Its a business not a personal transaction. At the end of the day no-one knows what's going on in the background but im certain Ally isn't to blame. He will have identified targets and passed it up the chain then be updated on the progress. Im sure if we can afford Goodwillie and the board think its a good move financially we will at least get to discuss terms with the player. Assuming we just send an email to Dundee UTD saying "fine, take yer 2m ya cunt" then sign the player tomorrow isn't how this works.
  21. Putting too much pressure on players can be detrimental to their performance. Look at Charlie Adam, took pelters off ibrox crowd. Goes to Blackpool, pressure off, 2 years later he's a 10m player and at Liverpool. We seem to have the mentality were still a top Euro side when the harsh reality is we play in the SPL, don't have the finances and need to adjust our expectations and support what we have. Edu for example, takes it tight but no question he gives 100%, what more can he do? Cheer the lad on and get his confidence back!
  22. Agree with RFC, a lot of the people on here play too much computer games and expect the real world to work the same way. Exchanging 2m between businesses isn't done at the click of a button. Humble pie being served to the ibrox crowd on September 1st.
  23. Just in my opinion we should leave the criticism to the green half of Glasgow. The club are improving, this is easily the most active window we have had in years (buying at least). We are fans of the club, acting and thinking POSITIVELY, supporting our team through good and bad should be the aim. I was ashamed to see the Ibrox crowd boo'ing our team off the pitch last 2 games. You could honestly come on here and think it was a Tic forum
