Just in my opinion we should leave the criticism to the green half of Glasgow. The club are improving, this is easily the most active window we have had in years (buying at least). We are fans of the club, acting and thinking POSITIVELY, supporting our team through good and bad should be the aim. I was ashamed to see the Ibrox crowd boo'ing our team off the pitch last 2 games.

No offence mate but you were 12 years old when he was at his peak before injury, if he can get anywhere near that level again he will tear the spl apart. I've watched a lot of football over the years and odonkor was far from brutal.

Lets be honest if he didn't have injury problems could we even think about signing a 27 year old German international? Who might I add is one of the fastest players in Europe and has played in a world cup and euro 2008. I know I've only just joined but the negativity on here is horrendous. Seems like everyone is willing Ally and the players to fail. We are the champions and still have the core squad which we are actively trying to improve. 2 bad results are not the end of the world.

Not what im suggesting mate, just it will be seen as lower priority when you have 5 centre mids, no recognised wingers, only one real CB and 1 fit striker. I really don't believe we will sign a defensive mid unless edu is sold.

If he is fit and passes a medical I would be over the moon with this. Sure, troubled times in Spain but 6 or 7 years ago this boy was one of the hottest prospects in Europe and if I remember he had a bit of skill to go with the pace. Worth a punt as he is still young and the games in between surgery for betis he still had the pace which is what we need. I remember seeing him play vs Barcelona, sure he came on as a sub and he was frighteningly quick. Obviously needs stringent assessment by medical team which I guess is why we have him on trial. Quite excited by this, clearly the only one.

Charlie Adam? O yeah we punted him for peanuts and now rated as the best dead ball striker in the EPL.

I can't see us signing a defensive mid unless we offload jig or edu, as I said I think Whytes prudent financial nature wouldnt enjoy having 4/5 players for one position. Clearly we need added quality in there but can we justify it? I think not.

I thought Weir was the best CB in SPL last season, tactical awareness is second to none. You can read the game perfectly but if someone can run 50 yards in the time it takes you to run 20 your in big trouble as a CB unless we play a deep line which brings its own problems. Hope we get this lad, big Davie's body clearly isn't up to the task anymore but still overjoyed to have him another year, can only help the young kids coming through and help the new players like Golan learn and adjust to the SPL.

Sure, if we where playing football manager this would have all been done and dusted before malmo. However as someone said goodwillie rape charge delayed any move for him, cuellar is injured and we have made a solid offer (its in his hands seemingly). Fair point on verhoek but im sure Ally thought we had enough to get passed malmo with current squad, just had a bad night. Im confident we will win in Sweden, sign up at least 2 of these players and possibly another CB if Bougy leaves. No-one should be making judgement till September 1st IMO as a lot of players will be assessing their options right now and the market traditionally heats up near end of the window. We need to be shrewd with our money, plain and simple, rushing out first few weeks of window, splashing all our cash and paying top dollar without negotiation isn't an option. Whyte is clearly trying to ensure financial stability moving forward, has spent money already and im sure is aware we need more players, its his pocket the money comes out of and his reputation on the line. If naisy had slotted home the two sitters the other night we wouldn't be spitting feathers. Give Mr Whyte and Ally your backing lads, I don't think there's any doubt they both love the club and want us to succeed. This situation is the result of Murray running our club into the ground and without the takeover things would be a lot worse. Ally has had 1 month to stamp his mark on the team, give him a chance.

I think people have their expectations way too high. If we get past malmo, sign goodwillie, verhoek and cuellar (all possible) then this has been a great window. With over a month to go of the window people need to untie their knickers. We have re-signed most of our top players, spent over 2m on players already, had 3m pumped into the stadium and still actively looking for another 3-4 players. Would any of this happened without Whyte? I for one think not. 2 bad results against 2 decent teams and everyone in a mad panic. Relax people, the futures bright....

I don't post on here much as everyone seems to just argue and bitch but my 2p on the whole affair. If you take the best possible spl team from last year: McGregor Izaguirre Bougherra Weir Whittaker Conway Davis Kayal Naismith Jelavic Goodwillie Not many people could argue too much with that, we have signed 3 of these players on long term contracts, where interested in Conway and look likely to sign Goodwillie. I really don't understand why people are unhappy with how this window has gone. We have bought one of the top young left backs in Scotland, a 40 times capped Romanian giant CB as replacement for the ageing Weir, a Spanish utility player who for my money looked like he had decent touch, control and passing, a young American international who seems like he has good potential. Then we are interested in Goodwillie who by anyone's standards is the best young striker in Scotland, have bid on a LM who is nominated for Dutch player of the year and Cuellar who we all know is head and shoulders above the rest of the CB's in the SPL. That's not to mention the millions spent on stadium improvements. Personally I am extremely happy with how the window has gone and the performance of our chairman and manager. A home draw against Hearts isn't great but I think the positives since Whyte takeover outweigh the negative.

I paid for it this morning, went and got the beers in and getting z few mates round to watch it. However, still getting the "please call to subscribe message" on channel 433. When you call their customer service you get a recorded message then cuts you off and emailed them 3 hours ago without reply. Gonna throw a fit if it doesn't come through. I live down South but been following this deal best i can. Surely there's some kind of update on local radio or some shit? Unbelievable the amount of mixed messages getting sent out to the press, makes us look like amateurs. Rather they just kept all dealings behind closed doors, surprised us without creating buzz about the player and in turn wearing out my F5 key looking at this thread. In the end i joined the forum just to give my other keys some attention. I know its been said before but do we really need another striker?
