  1. By the way I still think Davo is the best midfielder in the league no matter where he plays! In the champions league id play him CM every week, but in the SPL I just think he offers more and is more consistent when played as a RM
  2. You've clearly missed the point! I'm just pointing out I think davis is more effective out wide, I think someone like Naismith/Ness would be more effective in CM! Jes! I think the hammer throwers in the SPL are too physical for davis in CM, At least out wide he comes up against players like say, Swanson, who he is a match for phyiscally and has the ability to beat him too. That run where he hit both posts today was awesome though!
  3. Threads a disgrace! He's a rangers player! Back the team! Lee McCulloch has had many good games in a rangers shirt! Call yourselves supporters? Fans? Try backing our players and not criticising them before they've even kicked a ball today (see the match thread!) Fucking wankers the lot of you!
  4. Ortiz has shown some good touches in this game, some excellent passes, theres def something there, Thing is if he cant get by a man and put a ball in, he shouldnt be at Rangers.
  5. If wylde hadnt delivered that one bit of real quality with that assist for laffertys goal, he'd have been taken off by now!
  6. Well done edu! Cracking challenge just there and an excellent performance!
  7. I've said this a few times but I dont think davis has the stature to be a CM in the spl, when he plays CM he gets no time on the ball. He may not be a RM, but at least when he plays there he gets time to make things happen and provides that bit of quality that we really lack in midfield! I know that he won't play well every game no matter where he plays, but I just think we see the best of him at right midfield as he gets more time! Anyone else agree??
  8. I dont get these tactics at all, We are getting the ball out wide a lot and just firing crosses in when theres only lafferty and if we're lucky maybe naismith in there too, If Mccoist wants to put crosses in the box he has to make sure that theres either more bodies in there, or we have a numerical advantage over dundee utd defenders, theres no point putting balls in the box if theres 4 utd players in the box and 2 rangers players! Particularly when u consider they have garry kenneth in there! when the balls on the right, wylde has to tuck into the box as does ortiz if its the other way round and for me edu should be getting in the box supporting too, altho i think he's having a decent game!
  9. call me mental but im looking forward to today.... got a feeling this is the day ortiz will come good, normally when i say things like this im totally wrong but here's hoping!
  10. probably the fairest criticism on here.. but did charlie adam ever dominate games when he was here? Not from what i recall, John Flecks a kid, with ability we should be backing him to come good I for one think he will make the grade, Im not sure whether our fans will let it be with us or if it will be with another club.
  11. I know! That was the aim of this! Everyone has their own opinion of players just thought it would be interesting! Anyone could argue that every player on my list did a job for the club, but I always thought everyone of them was a little over rated! Particularly Porrini! I hated Porrini!
  12. Which former gers do you think were over rated while playing for us? All about personal opinion, I don't want players that had big reputations that flopped at us, I want names of players that did a job here than others may have thought were good players that you just didn't like. I'll start Jonatan Johansson, Sergio Porrini, Fernando Ricksen, Tony Vidmar, Thomas Buffel & lastly...... Lorenzo Amoruso for me! I loved amo and feel lucky to have seen him play for us but at times he was a total liability and at times tried far too much! That said I still like him I just don't think he was as good as some make out, did have some really quality moments/games too!
  13. Ok some folk are blatantly taking the piss, sebo ffs? I can see some peoples points with a few of them. Bo Anderson, Arveladze, Reyna, Tugay, Stephen Thompson, Alex Rae, (More for the mentality he brings rather than his footballing ability with us) Lee McCulloch, (See alex rae) Davie Weir (honestly up there with the likes of Richard Gough & John Brown for me) Charlie Adam (All the talent just lacked consistency, I always thought he offered us something different that no one else in our side was capable of, that free kick under the wall <3 )
  14. Gk- Klos (no question) RB- Cuellar CB- Brown CB- Amoruso LB- Steven Smith (immense before injury, I can't think of a better one...) CM- Clement CM- Spackman CM- Arteta FW- Novo FW- Negri FW- Wallace Subs- Maxwell(couldn't think of anyone else!), Vignal, Cleland, Alex Rae, Dale Gordon, Amato, Darcheville Im 27 so I can't really remember Bobby Russell otherwise I reckon he'd have been in there! Hate some of the players in this side (Clement & Arteta for the way they left us) but I reckon this is about as good as it gets for this list! Unless of course your older than I am and can probably think of more players who meet the criteria!
  15. Ok I know he's not the most loved figure in the world, I also know he was inconsistent and lacked any kind of pace at all when on loan with us.... but I genuinly think diouf might be worth a shot in CM? I remember seeing Diouf in person for the first time in a game against Motherwell at Ibrox and I didn't know what to expect, well... we won 6-0 and Diouf was excellent, he was coming deep for the ball, picking passes, retaining possesion in difficult circumstances, worked hard, although lacked a bit of sharpness at that time, got me thinking that maybe he could be a combative midfielder capable of creating chances, something that we have lacked in our side? Also good corner taker and crosser? I also think his personality might lift the squad a bit! Should we sign him? Until now I'd have said no, but now i'm thinking maybe he does have something to offer despite a relatively poor loan spell! A short term deal is something we could consider! Knowing how we're doing we'll sign him on a high wage and long term deal.
  16. With no European football, Naismith, Davis, Ortiz, Ness, Mcculloch, Edu, Bedoya, Mckay, Wylde plus we may sign diouf and we have bendiksen and kerkar too if need be. O think numbers wise we have plenty in midfield.... whether they are good enough or not... well we'll soon find out! If there not... I don't think hutton or fleck would be the answer this season anyway, loan moves make sense to me!
  17. Can't find him? How could you miss a belly that size! To be fair to beattie he seems like a decent guy and was once a good footballer, sadly his legs have gone and he didn't do well here. I genuinely hope he does well wherever he goes next, he started badly and we never gave him a chance to redeem himself, best all round for him to move on I think. Not good enough and a prime example of why its important to get the right players in.
  18. I was also going to post links to what appears to be allys dvd split into parts on youtube, but I reckon it would be breaching copyright, maybe a mod can let me know? Someone else's videos not my own?
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L3WdC9h_tU some more, 5mins 14 for coistys goal celebration, worth a watch if you've never seen it before!
  20. anyone else have any good videos of Coisty??
