Our fans properly pee me off! Lafferty was better than Jela, who in my opinion was poor again, bar the assist. Edu gets 4's less than Naisy & Wylde? Don't think so, Edu was better than the pair of them for me! And Bocanegra a 6? What about the mix up with perry? The fact that he nearly scored an own goal? I think the only reason we kept a clean sheet was because Aberdeen aren't good enough. My ratings are Mcgregor - 8 Some excellent stops, don't think his performance can be falted! Broadfoot- 5 Thought he did alright, Not overly troubled although he is still not good enough to play for us. Goian - 6 Did fine when he was on, he and Perry look like they could build a decent partnership at the back Perry - 5 Under a lot of pressure second half, coped with most things with ease in the first half, Bocanegra - 5 Shaped his body like he was going to clear the one with Perry then decided not to, poor communication from an experienced player, Also terrible header for the one that nearly ended up beating mcgregor, I don't like him, I don't think he's good enough, but his use of the ball was decent and i've seen far worse defensive performances. Edu - 5 I think he started really well, then faded as we ended up offering almost nothing in that 2nd half Davis - 7 Even when he's not at his best I think you can see the quality he has, our team rely too much on him and naisy to create all our chance, full backs and other midfielders need to do more. Naismith - 4 Although he was struggling with that knock, misplaced a few passes and not at his best as with davis, you can still see he's one of our better players though and in my opinion we rely on him too much. Wylde - 4 He's young and scottish so he'll get higher by others but for me If he's to play as a winger his crossing must improve, the most important part of a wingers game and the truth is he's not good enough at it! Need more performances like the Motherwell game from him. Hopefully given time he'll improve. Jela - 4 Good assist not much after that, not making as many runs and linking play between him and midfield seems almost non existant now, hopefully he'll improve soon or maybe we'll regret not selling him in the summer and using the cash to find a replacement and improve other areas of the side Lafferty - 5 Not good enough either but clearly not match fit for me and at least he works his socks off every game, Need mroe goals from him. Whittaker - 6 Best game of the season so far, but then that wouldnt take much! Bedoya - 4 Not judging him as Messi would have struggled to play well in that team with 20 mins to go, but poor effort on goal. I almost preferred it when we didn't have options in our squad as right now it seems like our whole squad is suffering! We need another option up front and in my opinion we need another midfielder who can grab the game by the scruff of the neck and inspire rangers going forward as right now we only have Naisy and Davis who can do that. I would rather we went for someone like that than go for another winger as in my opinion we're not going to spend the money to get the quality of winger we need and also wingers tend to be inconsistent, I wish we'd signed Margaro Gomis.

I don't think he's been particularly good in any game this season, can still see the intelligence though, I just think we should mix it up for this game that's all. I still think he's the best striker in the league, i still think he should start most games, but I think we will win tomorrow and a rest for Jela might be a good thing! Maybe its just me but his play linking midfield to attack was a lot better last year, this year he's playing on the shoulder of the defence a lot.

A lot of saints fans aren't sure about mcinnes! He's done quite well but he inherited Owen Coyles squad for the season they got promoted, struggled a bit since, I would want to tout someone as our manager based on a couple of games! haha! I will say though.... there have been far worse shouts for who should be our manager!

I agree they are judged on that, but in my opinion Laffs a better player than Boyd and I'd rather have Lafferty than Boyd any day, despite the fact that I appreciate everything Boyd did when he was here! Well I think Bedoya might improve the midfield, I think Wyldes a decent talent, but his crossing was shocking on thursday so id swap those too around, drop edu for hutton, I would drop Ortiz too if we had any other players capable of coming into that position. I've also suggested a change of formation to get better service into the box? In my opinion we need Vladimir Weiss, or a player like him on that right hand side of midfield! People seem to think Im talking about dropping jela completely, I don't see the harm of putting him on the bench? I think he is a class act but I do think we need changes and personally, I think 4-3-3 might be the answer, So maybe we should try that with Jelavic in the team!

Well I;ve hardly written anything offensive other than suggest we make a couple of changes for the game tomorrow! I'm sure its not the first time you've seen us play a 4-5-1/4-3-3! Anyone remember a couple of years ago when we had burke and naisy as wingers for a few games? cant remember who was through the middle but it would have been someone like Boyd/Cousin/Darcheville? Does anyone really believe that Bedoya couldn't take burkes place? Or Lafferty isn't as good as Boyd/Darcheville? It could work and its hardly the most radical idea that some are making it out to be!

I only picked Ortiz because looking at the Motherwell game I think he did well in that midfield of 4, although maybe id shuffle it and start fleck instead. I want to see bedoya in and Jela for me is looking like half the player he was last year, I think a rest will do him good. Other than playing healy we dont have many other options? Davis in my opinion is being dragged down by the mediocrity beside him! Whittakers better than bocanegra and our other left backs are out. You know my teams not going to be that far off, mccoist will probably play jela, bocanegra and edu where as I think given our poor start we should look to mix it up a bit!

But I'd drop Jela for tomorrows game! Mcgregor Mcmillan Perry Goian Whittaker Ortiz Davis Naismith Hutton Bedoya Lafferty Sit Hutton deep and allow the rest to get forward and support Laff, stick Jela on the bench to come on and mix things up if required!

If you watched Bocanegras positional sense and general awareness it is not good enough! Mark my words, already heard from fulham fans he wasn't good enough so perhaps im basing my opinion on that partly as im too angry to be rational right now! I dont think you can expect a balanced argument right now! We were not good enough and that was embarrasing, I think its clear for everyone to see that most of these signings are not worth the money we're paying them! If you think otherwise and your happy to be beaten by teams like maribor then fair do's. In my opinion only Goian has fully convinced me so far, Bocanegra has looked shaky in spells of both games he's played, marking and positional sense are not there plus he's light as a feather!

I'll start by giving the players credit for the work rate and credit to the management team for getting them fired up, they were all certainly up for this game. However I have to now express my dissatisfaction at the level of performance shown today, Edu never demands the balls, constantly dummys it, Davis kept coming deep instead of trying to push forward in the box, jelavic in my opinion was awful and offered nothing up front, Lafferty tried hard but there was little running from anyone in that side other than him, broadfoot, wylde & davis. Wylde has to work on his crossing, i lost count of how many hit the first man, broadfoot didn't look match fit, and will never really be good enough but I thought he epitomised what we needed more of today and never hid for 1 second! Lafferty looked knackered but continued to run his heart out to little avail, felt maybe he should have been pushed back earlier, healy had that miss, bocanegra looks like a schoolboy defender to me, just wanders off willy nilly and Im not impressed despite the good finish, Goian, Perry and Mcgregor faultless for me. Wallace needs to work on his defensive game, John Fleck should have been brought on and Ortiz can fuck off back to spain! McCoist you are now under pressure, your signings have not been good enough, your tactics are not acceptable, your leaving it too late to make changes and I honestly think the team is weaker than last year I thought bedoya and mckay might do okay here... but the truth is I doubt either is going to be good enough to make the required impact. You should have signed Weiss. If we're paying for James Beattie why wasn't he on the bench today? Ally McCoist your in danger of doing worse than PLG if things do not get better soon! For the record, It upsets me to write this, but i've had it now, We must do better, This is not acceptable!

My opinion is also that tonight has been embarrasing and we have too many second rate players on that pitch. Edu gets in great positions sometimes but too often large parts of the game pass him by, If that was Naisy in ther you can almost guarantee he'd be demanding the ball at every opportunity.

Darche is a player I always liked, I have great memories of the man despite the fact - his fitness was always in question - only completed 90 minutes once for us - his finishing was never the best - he was guilty of costing us possesion at times - his second season was def not as good as the first having said all that he had a lot of pros that the players we have now simply are not capable of doing - despite not being the tallest, he was quick, powerful and direct which is always a defenders worst nightmare - with that he had that ability to pick up the ball and drive forward with it, sometimes carrying it 30-40 yards, used to lift the crowd and ease the pressure on our defence, particularly in those tough european games. - scored some vital goals for us like the one against lisbon - I always thought he had tremendous character and dignity and I remember SDM praising him for the way he left, he was told he wouldn't have much of a part to play so he found another club and told us to rip up his contract, not one of these hangeroners who would sit around and collect a wage for nothing!

I dont get this whole criticism of Weiss, Most assists in the spl? scored 5 goals and set up 11, I really don't know what more people would want from a winger? He's still young and im sorry but he's far better than anything we have just now! I think we can't afford him thats why McCoists said no, but he's a cracking player who should be a ger!

I like this line up, Think I'd probably start Bedoya on the left tho. Think Mccoist will start Bocanegra & Mcculloch before bartley & Ness altho that wouldn't be my choice. Personally like the fact that mccoist now had options I think he'll split between Mcgregor Whittaker Goian Bocanegra Wallace Naismith Davis McCulloch/Edu Bedoya/Mckay Jelavic Lafferty subs Alexander, Bartley, Papac, Ness, Bedoya/Mckay/Ortiz, Fleck/Wylde, Healy & for europe and tough away/games it'll be something along the lines of Mcgregor Whittaker Goian/Weir Bocanegra/Weir Papac Ortiz Davis Edu Bedoya/Mckay/Ness Naismith Jelavic subs- Alexander, Weir/Goian/Bocanegra, Wallace, Bartley, Bedoya/Mckay, McCulloch, Lafferty & Finally cup matches, I think we'll see something like this Alexander Mcmillan/Broadfoot Bartley Weir Papac Ortiz McCulloch Ness Wylde Fleck Healy subs from- Mcgregor/Adam, Broadfoot/Mcmillan, Perry, Wallace, Davis, Edu, Lafferty Thats what I expect him to do, It may be theres another striker to come in and pushes Lafferty and Jela as we don't really have competition there if one of them gets injured/loses form. Healy looks like a back up striker and no more. From what I've written, I really cant see any real playing time this year for the likes of Andy Little, Salim Kerkar, Ross Perry, Kirk Broadfoot, Kyle Hutton, Thomas Kind Beniksen, Kane Hemmings & James Beattie. None of this takes into account injurys and suspensions though which could of course change things and see some of the above become involved. If I was guessing Id say Mccoist would be happy to listen to offers for, Broadfoot, Edu & Beattie. I'm presuming McCoist still see's a place for Davie Weir this year or why did we give him a new deal? If it was to do some coaching, I think we'd have seen him on the bench when he's been injured.
