  1. I'm sure I saw a thread with a guy selling blue t-shirts with Step Up and Play on them. They looked like absolute belters, but I can't find it anywhere on the forum. Anyone know where I can pick one of these up? Cheers!
  2. What about the England national team, think they'd get anywhere near the Premier League title?
  3. Was watching last night and was actually quite impressed with Scotland, we have some really good young players getting premiership experience. My question was do you think that the national team would be good enough to win the SPL? i.e. be better than Rangers/Celtic? McGregor Hutton Berra Wilson Wallace Adam Naismith Brown Fletcher Morrison Miller Pretty solid looking side, with a strong bench that would include the likes of Snodgrass, Whittaker, McFadden, Crainey etc For the purposes of this lets imagine we are playing Fifa and McGregor for example could play for us and Scotland! Cheers!
  4. I have too, but it won't happen if we pressurise McCoist to get the sack/quit and get on the players backs for every little mistake. We have good players, but there's a reason they play in the SPL. They will make mistakes, we need to encourage them when they do. Whitaker for example (acted like a total dick last night and should be punished) is a confidence player, getting on his back makes him worse. Encourage him and he will improve.
  5. Thanks bud, just needed to get that off my chest!
  6. Our support can be fucking dire moany pricks at times. Booing at half time and full time against Hearts and Malmo was a fucking joke. 45 minutes into our season and cunts are booing. Absolutely shocking and embarrassing. Getting on our players backs for every little thing. Mo Edu gets it fucking tight regardless of what he does. Even young boys like Weiss, Hutton and Wylde get it in the neck for the slightest thing. We are meant to be supporters - support your players, don't scream at them telling them they are shite. Not sure how many of these 'get Ally to fuck' posts actually come from season ticket holders, but they are doing my nut in too. The guy has had 4 games, Smith left him with a threadbare squad, there's been no investment and he is a fucking Ibrox legend. Let's support the man.
  7. Thought he did ok last night. Worked his bollocks off, great ball for Jelavic and showed he could probably cover at right back. When he was first brought in there was talk of moulding him into a right back, I thought he did well there last night and also in the cup final last year. He's strong, athletic and has a great engine, which are all ideal for a full back. It would also pull him out of the real pressure cooker that our central midfield is. He's struggling there at the moment which we can all see. He needs a break and us off his back. He's never done anything as ridiculous as Whitaker last night or Boogie over the last 3 years. He's not my favourite player, but he's certainly not the worse culprit in our squad. I'm willing to forgive Whitaker for his shit start to the season, but McCoist needs to show him that last night wasn't acceptable. I'd drop him for a few weeks, play Edu at RB (because Broadfoot is fuckibg dung) and slap him with a 2 weeks wages fine.
  8. Sorry bud, does my nut in people using him as the whipping boy. He's putting in a shift and gave us a great assist. We are so fast to criticise our players, let's trying encouraging them. Whitaker on the other hand can GTF!
  9. Get off his fucking case. Try encouraging players instead of tell them they are shite. Get a grip of yourselves.
  10. Did we not have him on trial at one point and the boy couldn't trap a bag of cement? Can't remember much of him, but I know he had a phenomenal scoring record.
  11. With some people getting wound up about jokers like Hemed, Chris Eagles and Conway not joining us, it got me thinking about some of the players we've been linked with that never made it. Worst 'realistic' ones that annoy me are, Tim Cahill and Robin Van Persie. Supposedly big Eck was offered them both for around the 1 million mark and decided against it Obviously Murray having fat Ronaldo on his private jet during the Advocat (spelling?) days sticks out as well, although this may be more of a rumour than actual fact! More recently, missing out on Commons annoyed me. I think (although he plays for the darkside) that he really is a top player (in SPL terms) and we really should have pushed the boat out for him.
  12. I'm sure he had pace 20 and acceleration 20 in football manager. Would love to see him and dangerous Dave in a foot race :weir:
  13. I am pissed off aswell, also pissed off by our own fans booing at the end of both games. I'm not obsessed with Celtic, but it's niave to think that we should never discuss anything they do (considering they are our only rivals in our league and the histroy between the two clubs) and this actually involved us. Certainly not offended by it, just think it was a bad move by Celtic and was trying to discuss this. See a bit of discussion, wasn't so hard. I agree with you here to some extend, but it definitely depends on your perspective. If we get knocked out now then there is no Champions League money this year (but Whyte has said he will front end the funds for new players) so it could help us to concentrate on and win the league and ensure that Celtic still get no Champions League football next year and see them fall further behind. OR It could mean we spend no money on players and Celtic pull away from us in the league.
  14. Yes, but I am too busy being in a rage with our performances and lack of decent transfer activity. I don't want any balanced or sensible views haha
  15. http://www.<No links to this website>/football/spl/rangers/2011/07/28/malmo-boss-thanks-celtic-greats-larsson-mjallby-for-helping-to-plot-rangers-shock-86908-23302433/ For me this really sums the taigs mentality up. They are far more concerned with the downfall of Rangers, than the reputation of Scottish football or their own prospects this season. If we do go through then: 1. We have more european games to play (making winning the league more difficult) 2. Increase Scotland's european co-efficient (making it easier to qualify for Scottish teams to qualify for the Champions League or Europa Leage group stages over the coming seasons) 3. Get more opportunities to complain to FARE (distracting from their own bigoted behaviour) To sum up, Johan Mjallby = Total dick.
  16. http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2011/07/01/2556605/fluminenses-dario-conca-to-become-third-highest-paid-player Uncapped Argentinia midfielder is earning 10 million euros a year for some chinese club. How can we ever compete in the transfer market? I actually can't wait until the bubble bursts in the premier league and a whole load of shitty clubs who whack in 10 million bids for shite like Carlton Cole go out of business. Excuse the rant, but I'm just frustrated as fuck with the transfer market these days.
  17. Glad someone decided to do the research as I am a lazy bas! I reckon at 32 he probably isn't what we are looking for, ie no sell on value, but on a bosman for a year or maybe 2 he could certainly plug a gap.
  18. Heard on another site that we are being linked with him. I'm sure I read somewhere else he was just about to sign a new deal with Hearts, but I'm sure if the champions came in with a last minute offer there's a good chance he'd take it if Romanov doesn't threaten to masacre his family. Positives - I think he got 10 or so goals for Hearts last year, has a bit of flair about him, is left sided (a problem position since Neil McCann left IMO), is on a bosman and would be able to fight for a first team place. Negatives - Think he's a bit older (30ish maybe although not sure), not sure his attitude if the best (strikes me as a bit of a primadonna), would probably force Wylde out the side and maybe stunt his development, also not sure what he'd be looking for in terms of wages (probably between 10 and 15K and I'm not sure he's worth it). What you bears think?
  19. I like the idea of Davis as captain, he's probably not the most vocal, but certainly leads by example. Give me a player that shows how it should be done, rather than one that's the loudest any day.
  20. Weir has been a terrific ambassador and performer for our club, but he really lacks the pace nessecary for us to really press teams. I honestly think that half of Mo Edu's issues last season were because there was a huge gap between the defence (that were sitting so deep to cover DW's lack of pace) and the midfield, leaving Mo and Davis acres of ground to cover. I hate to say it, but the dark side always press teams and hunt the ball down, it can be really effective. We often aren't able to because the defence sits so deep. When we press forward with Weir in the side we are very exposed, see Dundee Utds winner at Ibrox last year or even Linfield's yesterday. I really hope we bring in a CB with a bit of pace about him.
  21. I think Wylde will a bit part player, but certainly has the pace to make an impact (could be a bit like Novo over the last 3 or so years coming off the bench). If we bring in Cuellar then it will definately free up Whittaker to push forward and give Ortiz a bit of back up. I'm still hopefully we will bring Weiss back, back I'm sure if we don't we will be in the market for a winger of some sort. With Jela, Naismith, Davis, Ortiz, a new winger and even Ness I think we will be fine in terms of creativity.
  22. If that doesn't get you pumped up and optimistic for this season then nothing will. Absolute belter of a video!
