  1. Evening gents, anyone got a link for a decent kit and transfer update for the ps3? Couldn't really find one today and it's doing my nut in! Ta mucho.
  2. This is what happens when you go to school (or dog it) in Dundee.
  3. Sorry! Just realised that there is an identical thread a few below. Can someone delete this to save my blushes please? :broadfoot:
  4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-15292896 Am I missing something here? If you resign, how can you sue someone for 'wrongful dismissal' or 'breach of contract'? Surely resigning should negate any rights you have as an employee? Do we have any lawyer types on here that could explain?
  5. I just made the thread to discuss him, I love the big guy and would hate to see him go. I do also think at time this season he has had an easy ride from fans who are so quick to jump on other backs. I agree, that fact that he was so good last season probably is half the reason he looks like he is underperforming. It would take a really top drawer player to keep that level of consistency up season after season, which I don't think he is. Very good, but certainly not top 4 (in England) material I don't think.
  6. I think so. Wylde is dreadful technically and in terms of a 'football brain'. If he wasnt fast he'd be no where near an SPL team, nevermind Rangers.
  7. Last season I thought that he was an absolute standout, not just in our team, but in our entire league. The stats certainly back it up. 2010/11 – 27 appearances (in all comps) with 19 goals – 1 goal per 1.42 Jelavic stepped up and really drove on our team’s title win, leading from the front, scoring the winner in the Cup final and would probably have been our player of the year had Ian Black’s horror ‘tackle’ (and I use the word tackle very loosely) not occurred. The big man returned from injury absolutely on fire and as a result was then linked (although only speculatively) to Manchester United and Newcastle, as well as a few decent sides across Europe. Unfortunately, since coming back after the summer he has come nowhere near reaching the dizzy heights he did last time around. He was absolutely woeful in all our European games and looked really unfit and lacked sharpness, although our lack of signings, poor selections/tactics and Whitaker acting like Scott Brown were the real reason we went out. During the European debacle Jelavic escaped pretty much unharmed in terms of his reputation, although I’d argue he was one of our poorest performers at that point. If Healy or Lafferty turned in those performances they would be slated. Look at the abuse Edu took while trying to carry McCulloch on his back at the start of the season – although this is a different topic for a different day. He has had a few great moments, scoring a terrific header against Celtic, laying off Naismith to score away to Dunfermline (when someone of lesser footballing intelligence would have taken the shot on – take note Greg Wylde!) and also scoring a technically difficult goal away in Europe. For some reason it just feels like something is missing this season. In terms of the stats, he hasn’t been as good as last year: I also think that his body language hasn’t been great and at times he has looked isolated and like a big sulk. 2011/12 – 12 appearances with 5 goals – 1 goal per 2.4 games We all know he was subject to a big money offer from Leicester and supposedly an offer from Turkey. My question is this, has he had his head turned? With so many ‘big’ teams courting his signature has he decided his future lies elsewhere? Is he pissed off at having virtually no European football again this year? If he was to leave Rangers for the likes of the Premiership there would obviously be benefits: Less of the rough treatment (and lack of protection from the refs) from the hammer throwers in this league Warmer climate Better standard of League and players Much more money Less of a ‘gold fish bowl’ environment He has been in the papers and says the usual textbook stuff we heard time and time again from Boogie. ‘Rangers are a great club’, ‘I have a contract here’ and the dreaded ‘I’m not looking to move, but if something came up…’ We all know how Bougherra turned out. As much as I hate to see us lose our best players, if we had an offer of £9 million plus I’d take it at the end of the season. I think it would represent a good deal of us and him (and probably whatever middle of the road premiership club would pay it). Interested to hear the Bears thoughts on this?
  8. Was happy for a second when I thought we have 2 up front, then realised that Mackail Smith is one guy! haha
  9. Well plenty of people have posted on here. If you think it's boring why post in it? And boring as fuck? From a guy who likes South Park. Gees peace.
  10. Why would I be praying for responses? Would I not be cool if everyone dingied it? Is your self esteem so low that if you don't get a desired amount of responses to a post it upsets you? Just trying to have discussion about Rangers fans and Scotland, because Scotland are playing this week. No need to act like a condescending bellend.
  11. Think I could probably be categorised in the same boat. I just find it fairly dull. I was reading an article about some punter who bet on 1-0, 0-0, 0-1 on every game at the world cup last year. Think he made a fortune. Doesn't say a lot for the level of excitement international football brings when this is whats happening even at World Cups. International tournaments are much more about the hype than the actual games I think.
  12. Anyone actually give a fleck about watching Scotland? I can't say I'm ever particularly bothered, I do watch the games on tv, but never go to games. I like to see them win, but certainly wouldn't let it ruin my day (where as when we lose/draw it ruins my week). I do think its a myth that no Rangers fans support Scotland, I believe that we actually make up the higehst percentage of the 'tartan army' (or i might have just made it up -haha!). I'd far rather see them win than England or N.I., I am Scottish, but just find it hard to motivate myself to get excited for games. Any bears on here follow Scotland to the degree they follow Rangers?
  13. Thanks mate. Good info. I play with them because I love the sickened look in their eyes when I show up beat them while wearing a 'step up and play' t-shirt, I've particularly enjoyed it the last few weeks. It's also fun to watch them in fighting an blaming each other as soon as something goes against them. PS I don't care for those shifty eyes!
  14. Can someone fill me in on this guy please? Obviously he is an internet 'journalist' of some sort? Does he have an actual job? Why 'manslaughter' Phil? Did he kill someone? What has he actually said that's turned out to be correct? What has he said that's been incorrect? Why do the Celtic fans love him so much? The boys I play 5s with seem to like him.
  15. He is handsome, He is great, He's the captain of the United States, Boca-negra, na na na na na! Though he was excellent again last night. As was Edu, what a difference taking the two slowest players in Scottish football out our side makes. With Mo not having to do double running for Jig, and not having a huge gap between defence (as Weir sat so deep) and midfield we are looking much better. Was quite happy with how we played last night - apart from Ortiz, he was dung again.
  16. If someone called you a Jock, or an Australian an Aussie, or an American a Yank, would you be saying that?
  17. A computer once beat Dorian Goian at chess, it was no match for him at kickboxing.
  18. I'm sure Mancini said his players were "exhausted" near the end of the game. Might just be making that up tho
  19. Heard a few of the callers on various radio stations saying that ‘these are professional athletes’ and that ‘they shouldn’t be tired’ and that there is ‘no effect from playing European football’. I beg to differ. Just from a quick glance at the results of the UK based teams in Europe last week, it does look like European football has an effect. Only Man Utd and Tottenham won, and Tottenham basically had their under 21 team out during the week. For me, it makes our achievement over the last 3 or 4 years even more impressive, given the amount of European games we have played. Man Utd 3 – 1 Chelsea Tottenham 4 – 0 Liverpool Blackburn 4 – 3 Arsenal Fulham 2 – 2 Man City Sunderland 4 – 0 Stoke Southampton 4 -1 Birmingham The almighty Glasgow Rangers 4 -2 Celtic I am extremely confident that we can go on to run riot in this league, particularly given that the bheggers have another 5 tough games to go and I believe will drop more points, while we go from strength to strength.
  20. Absolutely. How Laff got motm I'll never know (although I thought he was pretty good too)!
  21. Thought we were really good today, got behind the players for the most part. McGregor had a huge fuck up, and I think our reaction really helped him. Chanting his naming and cheering for him would let him know how much we appreciate everything he has done for this club and that all was forgiven. I wish we would get get behind all the players like this, felt like at times certain people were getting on Edu's back again, even though he had a decent game. Wish people would remember he has also done a fair bit for Rangers and certainly contributed over the last 3 years. If Edu had fucked up to the degree Shagger did today, he'd be taking dogs abuse on here.
  22. Think he probably does. Who wouldn't miss days like today? He was a great player, who loved Rangers, but his decision making was questionable at times. Bad decisions probably hold him back from being considered a Rangers 'legend', but he always wanted Rangers to be successful.
