  1. Where? As far as I know the lloyds debts been transferred to another of his companies.
  2. The WeissMan is one of the few posters on this thread with a grasp on reality. Anyone defending Whyte is deluded. Probably the same people who would've defended Murray's reckless spending that got us into this mess in the first place. For christ's sake, waken up and smell the coffee. We are in deep, DEEP, trouble.
  3. Lol. I've "front loaded" £5,000 on my car loan. Alright, the finance company will only see £128 a month, but hey, they'll have it all in 4 years time.
  4. Can I maybe make this a simpler debate and ask; What evidence is there of Craig Whyte having spent anything thus far on Rangers Football Club? (Preferably hard, as opposed to anecdotal, evidence. Personally, I think he's spent £1 to acquire the club (even that's debatable) and not a penny more.
  5. Absolutely spot on. Hence the previously unheard of 5 and 6 year contracts.
  6. If we don't win it we'll probably come second.
  7. That's the thing though Craig, I can't have faith at the moment. I go to all the games, home and away, and enjoy the odd trip in Europe when I can afford it. However, my gut feeling is that Rangers Football Club is in very real danger of going bust. For the life of me I can't see a way round this tax issue. If we can't pay a tax bill of under 3 million and, for christ's sake, being taken to Court for THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND, what does the future hold? Murray, Whyte, Bain etc couldn't give a monkeys about the fans. If they did, then come out and tell us the REAL situation. The 'Club Statements' that have come out recently are absolutely cringeworthy and, to be honest, unbelievable and capable of only having the most gullible amongst us fooled. Walter and Ally have both told us for a number of years that something's wrong. Both Rangers men to the core. Not businessmen, just men with the REAL interests of the Club at heart. Only a fool would ignore them.
  8. Nah, just a realist. Anyone who thinks that we're not knee deep in the shit is guilty of blind faith. Post count is irrelevant. However, I'd be willing to put my credentials as a supporter up to your scrutiny if it helps.
  9. Anyone who thinks that Whyte has delivered what he said he was going to is, quite clearly, a glue sniffer. Where's the "front loaded" money? Why not settle a "trivial" (the Clubs word not mine) lawyers bill before it goes to Court and, ultimately costs us more? Why not settle the tax bill before it needs to be "ring fenced"? Anyone who thinks there's not a £50 million tax bill coming our way, one which I can't see a way round, is a glue, gas canister and fire extinguisher sniffer.
  10. That's about right. He wants too long on the ball, takes too long to make a decision (which, to be fair, is probably symptomatic of Scottish football rather than a fault on his behalf) and is willing to tackle sparingly (again, probably symptomatic of Scottish football). Technically gifted yes, but unsuited to the SPL.
  11. Is it no time for the Blue Order, Union Bears, Ultras, and any other group got together and organised one big, united group? I admire each and every one of these groups in their efforts to create an atmosphere at the game but the place where an atmosphere is most needing generated is at Ibrox. The away fans are the hardcore and, on most occasions, do a fantastic job of getting behind the team. The home support, on the other hand, on most occasions, need a fucking defibrillator to spark them into action. I just think that one group, the bigger the better, would have more of an impact than a number of smaller groups. Plus, you could say everything you do is "political" then the media, UEFA, FARE, Nil By Mouth, the Club, SFA, SPL, Strathclyde Polis, etc would turn a blind eye.
  12. Stewards, eh? Gotta love them. They probably cause the cops more problems than the fans do.
  13. My knowledge of "Matty" is based on what I seen in his substitutes role at Tannadice yesterday but I'd suggest if it's a debate as to whether he'd start it would be a McKay v Wylde debate as there's no chance of him displacing Davis, Edu or McCulloch for this Old Firm game. As regards what Lee has brought to the side in the last four years, Walter seen fit to have him as a regular starter so that would suggest that he maybe brings something to the table. But, hey, what do I know.
  14. Davis and McCulloch in the middle please. Edu, at best, on the bench. Don't think McKay should start either. Haven't seen enough of him to suggest that he should be given his first start in a game of this magnitude.
  15. What was the reason for removing the flag? It wasn't obscuring any advertising, and there were two flags right next to it which weren't removed. There was also nothing offensive on the flag. It looked like the female steward had got her (sizeable) knickers in a twist and, because the guy putting it up wasn't doing what she wanted, she worked herself into a frenzy and decided it was coming down at all costs. One of Tayside's finest was standing no more than 3 feet away, had no concerns about the flag going up and only got involved when the steward got into a wrestling match with the guy putting it up. The young guy, quite rightly, refused to give her the flag, walked away with it and dropped it down into the lower section. This, quite obviously was against the law, as Tayside's finest decided it was time to get involved, chasing the young lad (and hilariously pursuing the flag as The Bears kept throwing it further away from them).
