  1. To be a legend you have to (a) be at the club for a reasonably long time, and (b) have achieved something that stands out during that period. Legends are guys like Bill Struth, John Greig, Walter Smith, etc. you also can argue that guys like Gazza, Hateley, Butcher etc are what you might term 'legends' in the short term, but the aforementioned guys, and others like them, are true legends.
  2. I tend to watch next to no football unless it involves us, or games that affect us, so, as a result, I can generally only form an opinion on our players, and those that play against us. So for you guys that watch more football than me, what was Edu's position (and role) with his previous club(s) and what position (and role) does he play with his national side?
  3. Haven't a clue who he is. If the management team decide he's not getting a contract then so be it. Kiinda has the same ring to it as the clamour for Matt McKay to start the OF game in that loads of people are passing comment on a player they know little, or nothing, about. If he was so good would he be on trial with an SPL club?
  4. Can I just clear something up? Are we seriously moaning about one of our players moaning? SERIOUSLY? Anyway, Naisy, don't change a single iota, young man. Aside from the fact you're, arguably, our most valuable player, what you do, and the way you do it, gets the average Tims blood pressure rocketing skywards. Keep up the good work.
  5. You can fool some of the people all of the time. You can fool all of the people some of the time. But you can only fool a bigot until they get beat off Rangers.
  6. Unfortunately, we won't be able to judge Bangura's second season at Parkhead as he's signing for a big club down south.
  7. Stop behaving like the Tims. You're the manager of Chelsea.
  8. How enjoyable would it be though m8? Lennon sacked and we're not even out of September.
  9. Quite interestingly, a few of them over on KDS are starting to ask when he's going to hold his hands up and admit things are his fault as opposed to continually blaming the players. How amusing is that? The only people in the world to be fooled by him are now starting to have their doubts.
  10. They're both very good points. Brown, I think, would've done better under the guidance of a level headed manager such as Smith than he's has done thus far. The 'ned' aspect of his on pitch behaviour is not only condoned, but positively encouraged by Lennon, who doesn't seem to have the intelligence to realise that it's actually detracting from Brown's performances. It's also an embarrassment to any club for their captain to behave in that manner. The point about our management's ability is spot on as well. You only have to look at our trophy haul under them, the fact that we're trying for 4 in a row, and the fact that they got an average squad to a European final as evidence of that.
  11. The too big a job for a rookie manager's a bit of a non starter. Graeme Souness and Walter Smith made not too bad a fist of it.
  12. It's not about 'style of football' or if you 'think' so and so's a better manager than Fergie, it's got to be about achievements because, as fans, we know that's the be all and end all. For sheer longevity, and his achievements, and to do it with one of the world's leading club over such an extended period is remarkable. Particularly with the pace of change that's happened since he took over. He's had to adapt to a style that's seen the balance of power swing from the club/manager firmly to the player. In time, though I doubt they will, a Mourinho or a Guardiola may accrue more honours, but there's no doubt it would be done over a spread of Clubs.
  13. Maybe you should unfix it cos what you added doesn't make sense.
  14. When you look at some of the players Celtic signed that we showed an interest in, I can't honestly say I'm disappointed to have lost out on any of them. Brown, Loovens, Samaras, Commons - I've seen very little from any of them thats made me wish they had come to us instead of them. It may be the case that, had they signed for us, and played under the likes of Smith, with a different style of play, and player, alongside them that things would've been different. But, like I say, I'm not shedding any tears that none of them are with us. I wonder if any of them think that they maybe made the wrong choice.
  15. Longevity. Look it up in a dick sean 'arry.
  16. True. His teams shite. As arsenal and Chelsea have found to their cost. And his worth must be judged on your opinion of his current 11. Disregard everything that's gone before.
  17. Fergie won a European trophy with Aberdeen.
  18. All good, and pertinent points, JD. Personally, I think that to achieve what he has done tops the lot though due to the changes he's faced in his managerial career. Footballs way different from what the likes of Paisley, etc encountered. He's lived, and been successful, through the most rapid period of change that football's ever seen. And he's still a winner. Plus he's fucked numerous superstar after numerous superstar after another and replaced them easily on most occasions.
  19. Has there ever been a better football manager in the world than this man?
  20. Anyway Lenny, I've had a long day, time for bed now. I'd just like to reflect on 3 (about to be 4) seasons of stupidity from your Club and, in particular, your support who've continually highlighted the financial limitations we've had to work within. They've continually focused on how threadbare our squad is, how you're a better team than us, how we've no money. You've continually picked fights with the SFA, referees, the media, other clubs, other clubs managers and, in your case Lenny, other clubs supporters. Those above you have deflected their shortcomings by, in the first instance, appealing to the lowest common denominator in your support by appointing you as their manager and by continually backing your management style as it covered up their failings. And you, and your support fell for it. You've abused our players, management and belittled our support. You've come out and supported the most moronic captain in the history of your Club. You have, basically, endorsed a 'Buckfast' style of management. And, for me, it's been fantastic.
  21. His coupon in that picture reminds me of when I was a wean getting carried upstairs tae bed by my auld man when I wasn't ready tae go.
