  1. why you gonna give me a kicking or something? Not to worry, you only sing songs about having the baws to stand up to what you believe in, you going to sing me to death, shitebag.
  2. I have family who served - i wouldn't disrespect them by singing i fought the IRA and was being put to death when i live a pampered life, workin in an office and going to the fitbaw. If only i was as hard as you - trying to sign up to the forces and having pure loadsa baws
  3. I'll maybe be there to, dependent on work. But sure, sing your songs you coward, if you cared enough you'd sign up to the armed forces and fight the IRA for real instead of being a wee pussy just singing a wee song about.
  4. you're the biggest joke on this forum - internet hardman.
  5. i was simply pointing out that there are certain factions within the Rangers support with their own perogatives. You seem to be of the opinion we should all just agree, or accept, or join in with 1, so why not the other? And it's difficult to say - there are far more Scottish Rangers fans than their are Ulster ones, i've no idea how many support Independence. I know alot. Not that they would sing songs or bring their political agenda to the football - i was using it as a comparison. Oh, and i know your frothing at the mouth and i'm calling this song out for the embarrassment that it is, so i'll give you some leeway that you might be blinded by your outrage, but don't take my opposition to the song as anythign to do with disrespecting the armed forces. I wouldn't disrespect them, especially not by pretending i fought the IRA in a song, when in actual fact, they are the ones putting themselves in the firing line, while i sit in front of a computer and attend football matches.
  6. i find your pathetic arguement amusing. "oh, but some Rangers fans have links to ulster so let's all sing about how we have faught the IRA and CountyDown is our home. when in actual fact the majority of us have never set foot in Ulster, never handled a weapon, and will be in the office all day tomorrow". Let me twist your arguement in a new direction. I know plenty of loyal Rangers fans with connections to Ulster strong feelings of Scottish nationalism and campaigners for independence. Support from Ulster Scottish Rangers fans are an integral part of Rangers history and Traditions, and a staunch section of our fan base. If I and others wish to join them with them in songs about their ongoing fight for survival againt the child-murdering republican rebels with songs about Scottish Independence and freeing ourselves from Westminster rule, then that is our prerogative.
  7. those ex-service members have some voice, must be about fifty thousand of them in their.
  8. nah you're wrong about that, not all Rangers fans are sheep - i know plenty with a brain.
  9. Why don't you stop for a second and consider; 1. The majority of fans inside Ibrox live in Glasgow & the west. 2. The majority probaly don't have any direct links to Ulster - like me for example, i'm 3rd gen Rangers fan from a family from the southside that's been there since the start. 3. Nobody inside ibrox has "fought the IRA". 4. The majority probably live privileged lives, working in an office or something, 9-5, watches SKY TV at night and goes to the fitbaw & pub at the weekend. But.... .... a bunch of fitbaw fans want to sing about how they fought the IRA, and now they are being put to death by the IRA, and county-down is their home (a place they've probably never even been). The whole premise of it is just embarrassing. Anyone who wants to sing anything concerning the I R fucking A should go somewhere else and do it.
  10. ok, you keep singing about being put death by the IRA then at ibrox then, the rest of us with a brain will continue to cringe. If county down is your home, perhaps you could go there and sing it? Mines is Glasgow .
  11. What's ill-informed about it? BMG is by far the most embarrassing song you'll hear at ibrox.
  12. no i disagree, i think that when he does hit them properly, it's with an unbelievable degree of control. I'm not sure if you caught Saturdays Clasico at 3pm there, but when he came on he hit a freekick that was pretty close, maybe 22-24 yards. He still it it with his punching technique but with less power, and more control on direction, it cleared the wall and Valdes just looked on as it smashed the crossbar. I think it's more a case of attempting something incredibly difficult to master, thus having a lower success rate, but more devestating effect when they are pulled off. I certainly don't think it's a case of hit & hope.
  13. it's a difficult thing to compare - the balls now a days are so different. They are constructed so differently, much lighter, that the physics involved in striking them from dead ball situations isn't even nearly the same. I simply prefer Ronaldo's technique, to say, Maradona or even Beckham - they don't hit the target as consistently, but when he does get it right it's beyond sublime. think his freekick for Man U vs David James in goal for Portsmouth is probably my personal favorite. Or maybe 2nd favorite, i really enjoyed Bazza's in that cup final vs the tims
  14. passer... probably, more consistent certainly but Ronaldo's vision and ability and accuracy to pick certain passes, particularly mid-to-long range passes is something which for some reason is hugely underrated. More agile... i'm not so sure. Ronaldo is certainly more diverse. And useful when your team doesn't have the ball, he has a great work rate and ability to get back, spends alot of the time in his own half. Set piece taker i disagree with, i think Ronaldo is better than Maradonna was. The main one ofcourse though is goalscoring, but ofcourse, i think the teams Ronaldo played in should be factored into the debate. 1 other plus point would be ronaldo's ability to use both feet. He scores rockets from miles out with either foot, which is pretty unique. Particularly up against left footed players who for some reason i've always felt tend to be more 1 footed than right footed players. Overall, ronaldo has more to his game than Diego, but i'm not going to say i think he is a better player. Part of me feels uneasy judging Ronaldo and Messi to players like Maradonna, Zidane, Ronaldo etc... on the basis those guys retired with World Cup winners medals in the cabinet. And on that basis, i think it's a debate better left until these 2 superstars retire - let's see what they achieve first.
  15. simple, liaise with the fans groups, in particular the Union Bears & TBO. I think it's obvious that groups drive singing, not individuals. I was one of the posters on here to give them pelters for recent singing carry-on, the distasteful Mike ashley banner - and started a 20 page thread on the anti-scotland stuff after i attended the Clyde game in those threads were a couple of UB members who have said they have tried on several occassions to meet with Green to discuss the issues. That would be taking real, productive action, rather than dishing out his arrogant soundbites to the media - which by the way, was a PR disaster given how the press ran with those quotes. I would bet you any money that if an official from the club had a meeting with most of the TBO, UB & the lads that belt out songs for 90 mins in BF1 every week, asked them politely not to sing certain things (and give them specifics) - and in return asked them what the club could do for them to make the match day experience better (perhaps listen to creative ideas for more banner displays, card displays, certain songs to be played over the tannoid like Bob Marley 3 little birds, etc...) they would get a great response and the stuff they don't want sung, wouldn't be sung.
  16. Because real Rangers men like Walter Smith and Ally Mccoist are more than capable releasing statements or speaking to the media to defend the club - i think the chairman is also capable of it. Charles Green is running his big mouth at every occasion because he can't get enough of himself. TBH i stopped taking the guy seriously at that cringeworthy Christmas poem he put out. Somehow i don't think many people outside of Rangers take him seriously either. Now he's threatening to ban the fans who have made him rich if they don't put themselves in the firing line when someone near them is signing a naughty song (and the guy won't even clarify what is naughty and what isn't). He should just shut his pie hole and get on with things in the boardroom, or leave to others who can deal with things in a more dignified manner, if Charles Green can't resist of listening to the sound of Charles Green, or seeing Charles Greens face on Charles Greens television in Charles Greens house.
  17. Goalscoring, acceleration, speed, strength, shot power, heading
  18. The thought of "self polciing" is what is shambolic. I really don't like some of the shit we sing but why would i buy a ticket for the Broomy front then go and ask fans not to sing what they are singing? OR go to my nearest steward and start pointing a few out? I'm there to watch football, not get involved in confrontations with fellow fans.
  19. It's not just his comments, it's his overall arrogance, thirst for a cheap buck and constant bleating out to the media like he's Mr. Rangers - the guy just loves the sound of his own voice. I mean refering to yourself in 3rd person at the same time issuing threats to innocent fans, because this is 'Charles Greens Rangers'. Charlie boy has become too big for his boots imo, if he did step down i'd thank him for his hard work, but it would be for the best to let the likes of Murray, Walter and others at boardroom level get on with the job quietly in the background.
  20. shit never realised Charles Green was the glue holding us all together
