  1. sounds to me like there's something in the backburner regarding us leaving Scotland.
  2. i seen that, thought it was impressive by Davies. Personally i think there's a serious lack of work ethic & professionalism at our club. Players should be at Murray park 4 or 5 days a week from 9 until 5. There's plenty to do, from working on fitness, technical ability, to tactical analysis, performance reviews & team building. Ac ouple of half days during the week is explanation to why we've been nothing but utter shite and can't even string 5 or 6 passes together against Div 3 opposition.
  3. if the tims gave us money i'd rather we gave it straight to help for heroes than take help from them.
  4. seriously, how much can you do in a mornings work? Fitness training, cardio & strength. Tactical analysis? Practice match? Technical training, ball control, crossing? Defending? Set pieces? This is these guys careers, their lifeswork. The should be out there every working on hour trying to master their trade in every aspect of it. But Durrant's playing golf and our CM's sat on the couch watching TV.
  5. I've seen Ortiz & Bedoya play since moving on. Both are good technically, both suited to getting the ball down and passing it.... we should try it sometime.
  6. I seen a little of him at Hibs, but didn't he only play a handful of games? The point is, you are either technically gifted or you're not. Whoever brought him in at West am can obvioulsy see past form and spot a player on technical merit. At Rangers there seems to be a lack of understanding or enthusiasm on how to play football the way it should be played, to beat teams through tactical awareness, possession football, passing and skill. Why would any Rangers fan want to pay money to watch technically inept players like Cribari punt the ball up to McCulloch or Jon daly or some other 'target man' in this hoof & hope style we've played since McCoist took charge? I'd rather a manger who had a particular ethos he tried to implement over the next few seasons, where he'd rather we play it on the floor to guys like Robbie Crawford and Co. rather than hoofing it to the likes of Sandaza. I would be happy to see a manager fine players for playing the ball long or going back to the Goalkeeper if he is too shit at football to pick a forward pass.
  7. If the best McCoist & his scouting team can do is come up with the likes of Jon Daly, Kevin Kyle and Daniel Cousin then all of them should go. We need a scouting team picking up on the hottest young footballing talent in lower leagues in Scotland, England, Holland, Belgium and Spain. There's plenty out there, we need to get them first - and for that we need the sharpest scouts. Take Jordon Rhodes - i know he's a Sellick man but just as an example. He's 23 now, but he spent his early twenties scoring for fun for Huddersfield before eventually he was snapped up for £8m. Even a guy like Ricardo Vaz Te, he played for Hibs but the dunder heids over there wouldn't know a player from a pony, let him go for free - he was one of the best players in the Championship last season, i think he's an excellent footballing talent. There's the difference between West Ham Scouts and Hibs senior management team. And consider this; we are free to sign under 18 year olds... how many have we actually signed?
  8. the thread title then question is a bit of a double negative. i want him invovled in the club - he's a good no.2 to have in the dressing room, good for moral and so on - but that would be insulting to him now. The thought of him being sacked sickens me aswell, and i can't see him stepping a side of his own accord, so it's a tough situation - but he's not the man to manage the club - we're just wasting time & resources under him. I'm not even confident he can get us back to the top in consecutive seasons.
  9. Ally would get much less flack if he stuck to a particular philosophy. We have alot of decent, fast, technically gifted youngsters. Let me give you an example. When Brendan Rodgers came in at Liverpool, he inhereted Andy CArroll, and presumably, board pressure to use him on the basis they baught him for £35 million. They were also very short of strikers at the club. Considering both these aspects, Rodgers was so committed to his own football beliefs on how to play the game, he loaned Carroll out and never brought in replacement. Instead, he looked to the academy and brought through Sterling, a quick, nimble 19 year old forward. He'd rather have No-one up front than Andy Carroll. Everyone knows it - this is the time to rebuild and remodel the club, and our style of football. Yet McCoist continues to go down this route of hoofing the fucking ball up to his signings like Kevin Kyle, Fran Sandaza. He tried to Sign Grant Holt, he signed Daniel Cousin, now he wants to sign Jon Daly. He's not the man.
  10. Jon Daly.... McCoist's dream front line would probably be Heskey, Sol Campbell & Bobo Balde.
  11. Valencia cost united the game today, he single handedly allowed Chelsea back into the game by his inability to... not lose possession. I'm a fan of his, good power & pace, beats players with raw acceleration alone - but today he had an utter shocker. Infact, worst performance of any MU player i've seen all season.
  12. Given out poor the football is, more musical instruments will give us more bang for our buck.
  13. i was in complete disbelief we signed Sandanza & Black, and what is even worse is that we had been linked to these guys before administration. McCoist wanted to sign Grant Holt to replace Jelavic, when he couldn't get him, he signed Daniel Cousin. He wants to sign John Daly. He brought Kevin Kyle to Rangers even though our assessment of him was he was nearly 3 stone overweight. Thank fuck we have a transfer embargo, because players like McKay would probably have been kept out the side this season by some fat useless bastard we could lump it up too under McCoist.
  14. not fit to wear the jersey, and i'm not talking about his ability - although, that's equally as poor. Ally's worst signing, and there's been some bad ones.
  15. It's his ethos thats most concerning. IF he was trying to play expansive, passing football but it wasn't quiet working for him, i'd have more patience. Take Rodgers at Liverpool, he's trying to start a revolution to change their football ethos, sometimes it's produced outstanding displays, other times they've got it badly wrong and been whipped 0-3 by relegation threatend Aston Villa. But McCoist signed Sandaza, Kevin Kyle, he wasn't to sign John Daly, he tried to replace Jelavic with Grant Holt. We put crosses into the box from anywhere in the opponents half. We lack confidence to pass it about the midfield. We don't try and unlock the door, we just kick at it. We need something fresh, we can;t afford to get this rebuilding process wrong.
  16. When we sold Jelavic, McCoist made Grant Holt his no.1 signing target to replace him. He signed Kevin Kyle & Fran Sandaza. He is in talks to sign John Daly. Maybe he should consider asking Duncan Ferguson out of retirement, or send scouts out to Basketball matches for someone suited lumping the ball up to.
  17. neither has McCoist. And Carlo Ancellotti is employed by PSG.
  18. And not just any Annan side, an Annan side on this kind of form: Annan 0-0 Peterhead Queens Park 2-2 Annan Elgin 3-1 Annan Annan 1-2 East Stirlingshire Stirling A 2-1 Annan Montrose 5-1 Annan Annan 2-2 Berwick Rangers 1-2 Annan 3 draws and 4 losses in their last 7, yet they come to Ibrox and win. Deservedly.
  19. I'd rather Derek Adams. He took Ross County to the cup final while in the first division - romped the first division last season. Currently battling for 2nd place in the SPL on thier first season in the SPL - only losing 2 at home. They've put together huge unbeaten runs stretching months at a time over the last 2 season. His record with those resources available at a tiny club like Ross County is remarkable. He's young, only 37, and would fit perfectly into a long term rebuild - if we don't swoop for him now, a Championship club will get him.
  20. I think we should swoop for Derek Adams. He's the best young manager in the country, not ven 40 yet and his achievements have been surreal with Ross Co. He took them to a cup final (knocking out the tims at Hampden, oh yes) while in the first division. They romped the first division and even in the SPL continued a run of something like 3 months unbeaten. Currently battling for 2nd place in the SPL in their first season after promotion, only losing 2 at home, which joint best with the tims, also losing 2 at home. McCoist isn't the man, he plays Little out wide to accomodate Jig up front, when Jig is probably our best CB, and Little is wasted on the wing. He's signed dross like Sandaza and Kyle and when the transfer window opens, he wants to sign John Daly? I desperately wanted it to work with McCoist, I grew up watching him and is 1 of the greatest Rangers ever, but i could do a better job than he's doing as manager. We need change fast, because it's such a vital time for this club - and we need to get it right.
  21. Knowing Green he'll sell the naming rights to the stands.
  22. that's maybe a bit too 'skateboarder', but i kind of tink if you're making silk scarf then it should probably be significantly different from normal scarfs.
