Evening Bears, Decided to take a bit of time just viewing RM instead of posting during all our troubles, and to be honest i didn't view for a while either, due to frustration/upset/anger. Back now though, and one thing that has grabbed my attention this season is our support. My views are split, yes we have a great support in terms of quantity at home games, but can we all really say we go to Ibrox and enjoy the atmosphere? Many many times, ive thought to myself how amazing our away games are. Some of the days/nights ive had had at Pittodrie, Tannadice, Easter Rd, Parkhead, Tynecastle etc are just absolutely brilliant. Standing all game, singing, bouncing. Creating a buzz, an atmosphere and no doubt giving the players an added boost. Regardless of what anyone on here says, this does NOT happen at Ibrox, can anyone tell me why? Ibrox should be an intimidating venue for any team to visit, loud & hostile! Unfortunately having young guys clapping there hands singing "four men had a dream" just doesn't do it for me, and it certainly doesn't do anything in terms of intimidating our opponents. Why? Which brings me to my next point, some might say its the standard of the league we play in? I say that's nonsense, even in the SPL, we can be as good as silent at times. Some say its the standard of football? Again, I say that's nonsense. Independent of our opponents/performance, our stadium should be fucking rocking, the football should be a day out in my opinion. Has anyone on here ever heard of a German side called Dynamo Dresden? They play in the second tier of German football. The standard of football they play is below us, there standard of opponent is on par with us, and there attendances are half of ours. Would you know it? Never. This team are the equivalent to our Hamilton or Falkirk, yet average 26,000 at home this season. As i mentioned though, it's not all about quantity, but what they lack in attendances compared to us they eclipse in atmosphere. I'll attach a video, these guys are unbelievable. 1st-90th minute, every game. I can't help but think that if we made Ibrox the fortress that it could be should be has been, not only will our football improve, but make our Ibrox experience better as a whole. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ozHNBOsxr34
