  1. Brilliant!!! That's set me up for the day! Booooom! Baw-bag shot! ;-)
  2. The lad who told me he has signed reckons Scottish football maybe a little physical for him. Time will tell I suppose!
  3. Cool pal. I didn't realise he had signed. Just got a text from a mate.
  4. I have heard we have just signed Sergey Kundik, 17 year old Russian/Portuguese player. He has been with Real Madrid. I am told he very very skilful but not very physical' Could be one for the future?
  5. When Barry bent his free-kick over the wall at Hampden in the Scottish Cup Final against the Dhims!! I managed to somehow trap my leg in the gap between the backrest and the seat. The seat was then stood on in the madness and I yelped with pain with my leg being crushed abduction rupturing. It was still black weeks later!
  6. No offence but I don't think you have read the book properly. The book 'Bounce' looks at the importance of the right practice and environment. Your view is what the majority of the top clubs are moving away from. I have to agree with the Mighty Bears. I work in youth football for a Conference team and the big, fast strong players are the ones who get signed for Bradford City, Rotherham Utd because that is the style of football they play. I know this because the players we get are technically great but not physically strong. Rangers are a totally different league from those sides and should be aiming to bring through footballers not athletes! I know it is easy to bring up the Barcelona story but they had eleven academy players start at the weekend and none of them are fast, big and strong - they are footballers! I hate to say it but the Dhims are ahead in getting their kids attending the same school and training everyday together. In England, the top clubs have educational centres at the training ground and the kids and taken from their schools and they train 1 full day in 1st year, 2 full days in 2nd year and so on. This is the way forward I my opinion - as long as they are training in the right way. As I say it is only my opinion.
  7. Strange. Big Jim refuses to support Scotland and insists on supporting England. Can't understand way he would lend support to Rhegan??
  8. India's best players would not be good enough for Division 3. End of story.
  9. The guy truly is a legend!!! He knew the fans wanted someone within the club to come out and try and give us some idea what is happening. I used to love him as a young boy growing up; love him even more now!
  10. Whyte must have serious mental issues or have a heavy team of gangsters behind him. Someone will end up battering him. That person will be a hero in my eyes. (Cant imagine it would be too difficult - it would be like a square go with Mr Bean)
  11. Moyes is a good guy and a great manager. As a kid he was a 100% bluenose. His sister and her family used to accomodate young Rangers players in her house and if you asked them they would say they are Rangers fans. Two of my mates stayed with them, both Ulstermen. Moyes played for 'them' but supported us; a number of others have done the same. Couldn't do it myself though! :-)
  12. Laughed at first but like a few others the song has stuck in my head! Catchy little number!
  13. I like that Julescotia! Nice little tune! And the na na na na bit whilst doing a side to side bouncy would be amazing!!!
  14. Hehe! At least when the chips are down we can still have a bit of patter! Can't believe ur called Anchorman either! Lol
  15. Moyes's family (his sister I think!) used to house trainee Rangers players who had to move into digs. He was a definite bluenose and it would not surprise me if he still was!
  16. Which I hadn't bothered with that post! ;-) Only kidding - a bit of healthy discussion always good! As long as we agree to diagree at the end.
  17. Jack I rate Davis as a footballer NOT a captain. I think he would understand the situation and if not then he should not be at Rangers!
  18. Hard to tell when people are being sarcastic or serious on this forum lark! :-(
  19. Sir Walter your spot on - if he can't handle the heat then he should heat out of the changing room! No one bigger than the Teddy Bears!!
  20. Have to agree that either Shagger or Captain America should step up! Boca my preferred choice as like my captain to be an outfield player but understand why Shagger would be in the frame. I still rate Davis but, as you are all aware, he drifts in and out to much - that surely must influence the team as a whole?
  21. I am fairly knew on this site so hope this works! With Davis being ineffective and IMO (just worked what the f€$k that meant today :-) ) not Rangers captain matieral does anyone feel we have a captain in the squad at present and if not who could/should bring in? Any successful Rangers team (every other team too) has always had a strong captain who has led his troops on the field through either leading by example, encouraging, moaning (fergie...) or all of the previous. I don't think Davis can do this for us consistently and see anyone else stepping up to the mark. Looking back Greig, Butcher ,Gough, Fergie and Weir - just some examples - there are many more. I associate any great Teddies team with a great captain but can't see it in the team at the minute - would giving Boca or Goian a chance take the pressure off Davis and let him play or knock his confidence even more. Just thought I'd get that off my chest as it's been keeping me awake!
  22. I saw him a few Christmas days ago in a boozer in the north Glasgow area. He was on soft drinks mind you! Not right he is hanging about possil bars - he will end up like Chic Charnley!! A wasted talent some may say!
