Helander May or may not be a dud. Time will tell.

However there’s a few observations on the discussion.

Firstly Karl Svensson shows that playing for your national team doesn’t guarantee anything. Numerous players have come to Rangers and despite previous successes haven’t made it here, so I am not really sure why people would dismiss these rumours out of hand based on his history. Dismiss the rumours based on the fact he needs time for sure but not because he has played in Italy and for Sweden

secondly we can debate his abilities for weeks, until he has a chance to demonstrate them, but no one will convince me it was a necessary signing. He could turn out to be our best CH but Goldson Katic and Edmondson were already in place and are all very good players and with a youth prospect, or bosman, as added back up we were absolutely fine at CH. we need a LB and that’s where we should have focussed

I will base my judgement on the fact Gerrard had him on the bench for Thursday nights game meaning he has the managers trust over Edmundson or that he had trained better to earn a spot on the bench .

Not rumours from some itk crowd looking for attention.

I highly doubt Liverpool want over £10m for Kent.

Anyway, Liverpool loaned Ejaria to Reading with a view to them buying permanently at the end of it.  Maybe if Rangers had a few million we could’ve gotten a similar type of deal.  By the sounds of it we have no transfer budget left.

There really is something wrong with you . You know Liverpool are looking for £12m for Kent hence why Leeds pulled out .

As for your budget pish literally just 24 hours ago GM has said if right player is available then they might add to squad .

Sounds like we’ve spent £3.5m on an area that didn’t need that sort of investment.  Goldson and Katic have a good partnership and Edmundson looked great when he was given a chance.  A cheap 4th choice CB for cover would’ve sufficed.

That £3.5m could’ve got us Greg Taylor and maybe allowed us to get Kent here permanently (some money now with more to be paid next year).

Taylor is dug shite and Ojo will  score and create more assists than Kent did last year .

  4. Due to Spaghetti holding my knees together I never made it . Tried coming back a few times but last about an hour and me knees pack in again .

All down to slipping and dislocating my knee and breaking my ankle in 2 places while drunk . Rarely drink now .

The other knee was fucked before this when I megged someone on the turn and got studs stuck in grass and heard an almighty pop.( 8 months out.)

For once I’ve been a good boy and given the club some money rather than hunting for a stream

I've paid for the last couple and a couple of friendlies so I'll be using a stream if I find a decent one.

Read a bit more into it and it seems that Hearn is massively backing him right now.

I retract my statement, for now, about Whyte being a fucking idiot.

He was asked to provide further evidence to UKAD, which he did, and the BBBC then sanctioned him to fight.

Weird that the WBC have suspended him for that as they are only privy to the details we have right now, hardly any.

UKAD won't talk either or give any details as to what was found in the test.

WBC like to keep their strap in the US if they can maybe worried about Whyte (although I don't think he is that good tbh) and protecting Wilder like they have for his entire reign , as far as I'm aware they have never forced him to face a mandatory and generally let him do what he wants. The only reason he fought Tyson is the fact TF is the lineal champ technically and Wilder felt it a good opportunity to fight him while he was miles from his best.

    Boxing in a nutshell really.

    Politics and money.

Yeah he's just suspended by the WBC, but not by UKAD or British Boxing Board of Control..

Very weird, especially when he was allowed to fight.

    But something is stinking.

I'm sure Hearn would drop Whyte like a hot potato if he felt it was true but he seems to be standing by his man .

From what I've read both fighters were tested by two different bodies very frequently and yet it's only shown up on one test so far and as you say he was allowed to fight .

    Very strange.

Whyte been provisionally suspended by the WBC.

Fucking idiot tested positive for a banned substance.

He isnt suspended though . Apparently can fight tomorrow according to EH.

    It's a weird situation tbh .

Hasn't set the world alight though really. Played 1 game for Italy. Less than 20 goals so far in his career. Looked promising when he came on the scene but has faded. £16m is nothing to Wolves so hardly a gamble but £16m to a Milan under heavy FFP scrutiny for a bit part player is alot.

He is a good player tbh was hard for any striker in a poor Milan side . Andre Silva struggled there as well yet bangs them in for everyone else.

Side note Real losing to Fenerbahce on itv4 just now 😂

It'll be interesting to find out what's going on. Whyte actually paid for additional Vada testing on this fight. He is a fucking idiot if he has taken something.

Alot of the rumours are meant to be bullshit, but Eddie Hearn said that

I like the fact they are talking about an 8 year ban yet Miller didn't even receive a ban just his licence ran out and he had fucking all sorts in him 😂

He had to attend a meeting with Vada etc before the fight about something and they cleared him to fight on the back of it. If he was on steroids they would never allowed the fight to happen.

Supposedly Whyte is coming out with a statement tomorrow.

They mentioned some PED on Talksport the day as they had Wilder in the studio said reports were of trace amount of something.

Agree it could so easily have been 4 or 5 easily however we could so easily have conceded as well with that chance that was easier to score than miss

Tbf it was caused by lapses of concentration and that's the case for all the chances they created all stemmed from our mistakes.

I had a quick look at the transfer dealings of Ajax  as I have never paid any attention before and thought they hardly ever entered the transfer market, turns out they are quite heavy spenders (not EPL style) but they have signed a fair few in double figure millions, over the last 6 seasons they have shelled out 158m while raking in 333m turning a profit of 175m, De Ligt and De Jong were near 150m for the pair so that was a huge cash insertion for two who I assume given their age cost nothing.

De jong cost them 1m plus add ons I think totalling 4m or so iirc.

De ligt was signed as a 9 year old so the cost of 10 years of education , training and contracts so not nothing but made a healthy profit.
