  1. He said he's setting up a consortium of "Blue Knights" to underwrite a fans buy-out... won't hold my breath on it happening though
  2. I'd love to be there at the weekend... the stadium is gonna be jumping!! Do the bears worldwide proud lads!
  3. Pretty strong words... thankful I don't need to read BS like that over here "No-one likes us, we don't care"
  4. One of the darkest moments in our club's history... but I've never felt prouder to be a fan. Weird couple of days for all of us but the Rangers will rise again
  5. Super Ally is a great ambassador and representative for Rangers FC. Really feel for him, finally getting the dream job and having all this to deal with, we face some tough and challenging months ahead but I'm certain Rangers & Ally will come through the other side.
  6. Been watching Sky Sports News on vipbox since the news broke yesterday... sadly this is true. Scrolling across the screen right now
  7. Duff and Phelps has been engaged by the directors of The Rangers Football Club plc (RFC) to assist its negotiations with HMRC, and possible restructuring options. As a result the inability of RFC to conclude negotiations with HMRC the board of directors have filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators. The purpose of this notice is to provide a moratorium against potential creditor actions. Meetings are due to take place with HMRC in relation to the tax position of the company. Management remain hopeful that with the assistance of HMRC a consensual and solvent solution can be found. In the meantime RFC is continuing to trade as usual.
  8. My take on it is any help we can give the guys at the club already is a bonus. Cousin knows what's expected at Rangers, he can be unplayable when he wants to be and going by his quotes, he's up for the battle from now til May.
  9. I don't see one bad point about Cousin coming back... no fee, we're lacking up-front, he knows the club, played really well at the African Nations and bullied a whole Scum defence on his own. Gary McAllister was 37 when Liverpool signed him and was arguably their main guy that season
  10. Served that at Hull.... free to play on Saturday
  11. The quicker Laff gets fit, the better... think him and the big man could link-up pretty well together
  12. The fight back for 4 in a row starts on Saturday
  13. The best game I've seen Ale play was as a Defensive Mid for the US... breaking things up, spraying passes. But we've got Jig Makelele playing there Injuries have took their toll, but I'm still confident Alejandro will become a certified & influential Rangers player
  14. Happy with this. He's got the strength & power we've been lacking up front and hopefully a strong voice in the dressing room too. Welcome back big man!
  15. Mr Whyte - the guy stepped up when no-one else would
  16. Like some others on here have already stated, something seems to be going on behind the scenes. A lot of political posturing from the "old regime", they've had CW's head on the chopping block since day one. Maybe Paul Murray & AJ are trying to win the hearts & minds of the fans. It's politically advantageous for them if they or someone they're involved with wants the Club from CW. After the £25m appearing out of thin air debacle... good luck with that fellas
  17. "Our very success, gained you will agree by skill, will draw more people than ever to see it. And that will benefit many more clubs than Rangers. Let the others come after us. We welcome the chase. It is healthy for us. We will never hide from it. Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure, and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers."
  18. Last night was awesome! SB is back where it belongs! Best season ever...Wow.... The game wasn't great until the 4th Quarter...just like 42. Crazy how both games ended with Brady on his back and a Fail Mary
  19. ALLY McCOIST says poor defending cost his side after lapses at the back so them crash out of the Scottish Cup at home to Dundee United. A Gavin Gunning header and Johnny Russell's left footed strike were enough to secure the Tannadice side a place in the quarter finals and the Rangers boss was left frustrated by the manner of the goals. He said: "Our defending for the goals was very, very poor. We certainly could have defended the cross a lot better for the first. "It was far too easy for the second goal with Johnny Russell getting far too much space. Defending is part of the game that we take pride in but it was poor today. "It's been a really disappointing day but you have to give credit where it's due and I thought United in the first half played well." Rangers started the second half with a reshaped side but failed to find the goal that would force them back in to the game. And while McCoist was left disappointing by a lack of chances, he had no complaints about the efforts from his side. He said: "I felt we attempted to push forward and the effort was certainly there to get balls in to the box, but there was a bit of guile missing in the end. "I certainly don't have a problem with the way the players went about things in the second half. "We were trying to push forward with Lee Wallace on the left and Sone Aluko on the right and the effort was there but the wee bit of quality was missing today." The Rangers boss will now look to lift his players for Saturday's trip to Dunfermline and he has no doubts they will be ready to respond. He added: "The players will be fine. We don't have an option. We have to get our sleeves rolled up and get on with it. "The players are disappointed, but on Monday we'll get in to training and we'll go ahead. "This club has had problems in the past but there is determination and grit in that dressing room that will see us through this."
  20. Downward spiral since October/November with no signs of improvement at all. One step forward, three steps back.
  21. Only after SDoW has lead us to domestic & European glory as Manager and retired
  22. :McGregor: :Bartley: :Papac: :Aluko::Davis::Edu: :mervan: :Healy:
  23. NEIL LENNON has taken an amazing swipe at Rangers by insisting the skint Ibrox club DESERVE to be in a cash crisis. Celtic boss Lennon let rip in an astonishing rant yesterday, admitting he has no sympathy for his Old Firm rivals. Gers face administration amidst a tax battle with HMRC which leaves their future uncertain. But Lennon hit out: "I have a certain sympathy with Ally McCoist because it's his first year in the job and I'm sure he didn't envisage the problems he has had. "But somebody must have seen it coming. Do I have sympathy in that respect for them? No. "Have they brought it upon themselves as a club? Yes. "We have cut our cloth accordingly for years and have had to bite the bullet a few times. "In my opinion, it would work that way if it was any club." A lot to say for a manager who's yet to win a Championship
  24. Anyone got a link? I'd like to hear what this chancer has to say
