  1. Shares were sold by RFC to the buyer - not Whyte. RFC has a distinct legal personality as a limited company. Any fraud committed by Whyte (if proven) in obtaining his shareholding in RFC wouldn't matter to the sale of the Arsenal shares....I think.
  2. HIbs have gone and signed Carmichael from QOTS today - we should have had him snapped up 6 months ago. Type of player we should be in for, quality from our current league - strengthening us cheaply whilst weakening the opposition Scott Allan will go down south for the money (again)
  3. law is fuckin useless and has been for the past 3 years
  4. The Dundee Utd fans were singing the same song at the weekend game against them - wonder if any of them will be arrested and banged up for 4 months
  5. Where is this coming from? I can't see it in the article
  6. If they continued to quote somehting that is untrue then you could try and argue that there is malicious intent, and the statement that is being made affects the reputation of the club in the eyes of the public generally. Such an action could only be taken by someone with title to sue - a director on behalf of the holding company or maybe (although im not sure) a shareholder
  7. there also has to be malicious intent in the statement for it to be defamatory - i think it would be impossible to show that in this case. Not meaning to sound like a know-it-all (because i most certainly am not one) it doesnt matter if it was in print or spoken word - the statement just has to be "communicated" Did'nt want to pipe up too much with law on these boards because there are never ending questions to answer relating to the administration/liquidation etc!!
  8. I'm not a lawyer - but not far away from it. referring to Rangers as the former club is probably a breach of the BBC's own policies on reporting and the Press Commission Regulations (I'm pretty sure something like this exists but in a pre-Leveson form its not exactly strict). Probably not defamatory though - a defamatory comment has to be capable of lowering the estimation of the defamed party in the opinion of society generally - for example to accuse a person of being a paedophile when they are not (see recent examples...BBC). To innacurately report somehting would not suffice IMO
  9. There is no such thing as "slander" in Scotland gents. Its called defamation.
  10. What a confusing heap of fucking shite. It will only be interesting for 5 minutes until everyone figures out who the fuck goes up and down and what league they are in then it'll all be the same. Why a different Relegation/Promotion system in each league? And surely there has to finally be some relegation from div 3 and some sort of system worked out whereby a team is promoted from the Highland League/East of Scotland League/other equivalent.
  11. if all this comes off we better set aside some cash for a statue of CG outside of Ibrox - could make himself a club legend in the next 10 years.....or look like a total cock if this is all crap. He seems true to his word so far though IN CHARLES WE TRUST
  12. Like all the headlines when we signed Diouf, who spat on someone 10 years ago? Fair enough thats disgusting but it was made out that we had signed Hitler himself. I am in no doubt that the Aberdeen "fans" will be singing about this all night tonight; i wonder if the Glorious Glasgow Ranegrs played a testimonial match and we sang and celebrated about a player's career being ruined what would the tabloids have to say on it the next day. This will be heralded as a "great night" when all they do is celebrate this mediocre tosser's sickening tackle, and any person who engages in such singing should be ashamed of themselves.
  13. Absolute legend. About time someone stood up for the Rangers
  14. Well said. Its a chance to kick Rangers due to jealousy and religious hatred; nothing to do with this "sporting integrity" shite. For example, if Mr Russian had come in and bought Rangers, and paid the debts, they would have been forgiven their financial sins. Further, if the CVA had been approved the club would have been allowed to continue as normal.
  15. I agree wholeheartedly with what has been said in this article; Steven Naismith didnt care less who the corporate body that owned Rangers Football Club (a business operating under that name) was, and i seriously doubt that he could have even named the PLC. The history, the acheivements, the business name, as well as Murray Park and Ibrox, will transfer to Sevco as a sellable asset of the former PLC. Therefore the business he remained loyal to has in actual fact not even changed at all. The mans an ill-advised, thanksless cunt who can fuck right off.
