Whilst there's a split of opinion re: management, everyone wants what is best for the club. I don't think that anyone wants to see our first loss of the season (surely we all agree on that point). The sooner we can all draw a line under this and move forward as a unified support the better.

First and foremost we have Ally. However I've always thought that Butcher would have been a good choice.

No disagreement here. That said, I felt it was unfair to label someone clueless particularly as their past achievements suggest otherwise (an arguement put forward in here). PLG's CWC medal or his achievements as PSG coach didn't help him at Ibrox, did they? McCoist is undoubtedly in a unique position, he has a tremendous record as a Rangers player and is 'no question about it' a fellow bear. But as per the above, past achievements do not always translate to future success. I am not pro / against McCoist, my limited involvement in threads such as this should attest to that fact. I am merely pro Rangers and want the best for the club.

Still 66/1 for the Rangers job (according to sky bet). WTF!

Relative to this topic, I believe that McCoist is in a unique position. Namely his services as a player. I genuinely hope that he can extend his legendary status (from player to manager).

i actually thought that PLG came with a very impressive pedigree...I guess he must be clueless having won a CWC medal and a successful career at PSG? Probably clueless for reaching the 1/4 finals of the Champions League and clueless for leading Cameroon to a World Cup qualification. Having such experience both prior and post Rangers should really make him quite knowledgeable?
