  1. Why? The decision would be the SFL's and if the SPL's bid for those rights is the best on the table it would also be the best for us, as we get a 10% share.
  2. I thought Black left Hearts because they couldn't offer him enough money to stay? He'll be looking for at least 10k a week I reckon.
  3. How much do we reckon Black and Beattie will be after per week? 10k? 15k? Call me a cynic but I'll be very surprised if either of these players signs a contract with us any time soon, whatever anyone thinks of the merits of their doing so.
  4. Didn't BK say back in the beginning that he was only there as a bidder of last resort? I'm sure he said he was merely there to ensure Rangers had a future but that he didn't really want to buy the club. What's changed? The future of the club is secure and we have new owners so why is BK still sniffing around? Don't tell me he was also being less than honest about his intentions/motivations?
  5. There is no fundamental difference between us and them, we just support different teams. If you think we would behave any differently then fair enough, but I disagree. For those of you voting down my post because you disagree, that's the way to encourage debate on here
  6. A stopped clock is correct twice a day...
  7. If you have read what Traynor has written since the beginning of February and are of the opinion that you can believe a word he says, you are seriously deluded. He is a fat lying turd of a man and his opinions change with the wind.
  8. It seems there are plenty of folk on here who think Traynor is trustworthy
  9. Please tell me you are joking? Leggo is also a supporter of ours but I'd rather the mark of a trustworthy journalist was a bar set ever so slightly higher than that. Anyone who pins their hopes on a story Traynor prints is asking for disappointment. This is what the club had to say in response to the latest piece of pish from Traynor.
  10. If you believe anything Jim Traynor prints, a case could be made
  11. Whenever we went a year without significant income from Europe we made huge losses. The club were trying desperately to reduce the wage bill to the point where this would change to a break-even with European income being a bonus that went straight to our bottom line. Selling out to Whyte in the middle of this exercise was ultimately driven by the big tax case but it was the years of overspending that did us in.
  12. Absolute pish. We as a club should never have been in the position where we required Champions League money to survive. David Murray has to carry almost all of the responsibility for putting us in that position then compounding his mistakes by selling us to Whyte.
  13. Ibrox and Murray Park are expensive assets to maintain so we have a certain minimum level of income required once the playing budget is factored in. We simply cannot afford to drop our prices to the average SFL3 prices.
  14. This might not be a popular opinion but if the shoe were on the other foot we'd behave exactly the same.
  15. Throughout this entire saga Traynor has consistently failed to accurately predict outcomes or to accurately represent the situation. Believing any pish he prints now just because it suits you is retarded.
  16. How in the name of fuck do we have the upper hand? From where I'm sitting it looks like we have no negotiating position whatsoever short of the suicide option. What other leverage do we have short of withdrawing our application for SFA membership?
  17. Is it correct that we have until this Friday to get our SFA membership?
  18. I think even if we lost those players we'd get out of Div3 without too much trouble. The challenge will be Div2 if we aren't allowed to sign any players in Summer 2013
  19. Any player who has already transferred over to the newco cannot leave unless we decide to sell him or his contract expires. The club should already know what players we will realistically retain for this season
  20. Transfer deadline days don't have to be a weekend. They close on the 31st of August unless they are extended but an extension is at the discretion of the SFA and we know what the chances are of them doing us a favour
  21. I guess the choice comes down to being able to sign players for Division 3 or sign players for Division 2. As I've already said, I think we currently have the players capable of winning Div3 but I would be less confident of those players winning Div2 at the first attempt. If it was me I'd be pushing for us to the have the opportunity to strengthen next summer rather than this one.
  22. It is a 12 month ban starting on 1st Sept 2012 and finishes midnight 31st August 2013 The Scottish summer transfer window closes on 31st August. If the window is extended they will extend our embargo too
  23. Since Green doesn't know how many season tickets we will sell he cannot set our budget for the coming year, and without knowing what the budget is we won't be signing Shiels, Black or sandaza imho
