  1. most unlike spanish player of his generation, in lamens terms pish!!
  2. I would go for him to resign him as i think he would come back, a real bear for me.
  3. The point im making here is even with spending on players and a season out of europe we weren't about to be made insolvent at that time.such problems arose under shyte hence where did the cash go to?
  4. The majority of cash spent came after we sold king carlos for £7.8 to villa
  5. Im no accountant but i wouldn't need to be for this bit of totting up.As Rangers debt kept rising to i think 78mill round about 03-04 urgent measures were needed. These measures came as we sold of the family silver in an effort to reduce costs, we replaced them with cheap replacements i.e nuno capucho(who won a medal in seville ), ostenstad, vanoli, emerson to name a few but you get the picture. Now from that season it was apparent we would be downsizing a good bit in the coming years. As we downsized on the park our debt was starting to downsize off it.We were still managing to be reasonably competitive on the park during the cull.As we sold of players and had runs in europe our financial position again improved to the tune of 18mill owed to the bank. So 60mill had been paid back and Dr death was about to pay the remaining 18mill.Now this is where it dosent add up, 9mth into his tenure shyte claims the club is losing 1.5mill a mth and this was the reason for not paying the paye(my arse). How could we reduce debt every year for the last 7 whilst having such monthly losses. The truth is that wee fucker has stole money out the club we love, he had better hope the fraud squad get him before the bears do.
  6. I have to disagree, if memory serves me it was keith jackson who is talking through the 2003 season in the programme the football years and init he referred to the mhanks as we on a number of occassions in reference to seville, could be mistaken though.
  7. I apologise yes that was the last game of the 9iar season but in your post your talking about walters last season hence the confusion!
  8. 9iar tannadice was the last game of the season, if your talking 10iar season that was defo at tannadice when we won 2-0 but lost the league.
  9. was it not Dundee utd?Hearts was the following week in the scottish final.
  10. One of the saddest days ever as a bear was the day i heard that coop had left to join motherwell for 50k.I adored coop and it was end of an era for me, but what upset me most was we signed Davie fucking Dodds the same day for 100k.A bit like trading a merc in for mini and paying the salesman.
  11. As a young lad i couldnt wait to get my gers strip on and go and play football, my hero was coop and i 1 day dreamed it would be me who made that run onto the ibrox turf.As i grew up i would happily of played for nought as i was a bear through and through. Forward wind 20-25 yrs and we see and hear players who had similair dreams, these players to name a few (naismith, laugh, davis) were fortunate enough to have the skills required to make that run. Regardless what has happened im sure these 3 lived their dream, the problem occurs when agents start filling their heads with shite thus making them have second thoughts about their boyhood dreams. All 3 have walked and most likely will never be forgiven by the bears. Sadly money overules loyalty these days and our club arent alone on this, gone are the days when an era of players at a club would see testimonials rewarded.I for 1 would love to be able to say that about the next generation of Rangers legends.
  12. The fact is i fully expected players to leave the club it was always going to happen, what annoys me is they could of moved over to the newco then get moved on. This would of got us much needed revenue to set the club up for the foreseeble future.
  13. This still grates with me, at the time the tims were in freefall and we were flying. That wee cunt mcgreedy was suspended and low and behold the septic family was to distraught to play cunts. Roll on to april as the bears are stil in the 3 remaining comps and liewell rolls out sporting hypocrisy against an extension in the league. The fact is they hate us more than they like themselves.
  14. kiev 87 was amazing, anyone at the inter game 3-1 that night was electric aswell, big mac up front!
  15. For me the spl has been unhealthy now for a number of years.A lack of finance, not much in talent, falling crowds and a poor standard of football overall has brought this conclusion. It reminds me of a hospital full of very ill patients. The biggest shock for me was the state of health of the giant, he needed a transfusion but the good doctor whyte proved that he was just masqurading as a saviour but in fact was just a crook. The giants condition worsened and soon became criticaly ill, surely time for the top consultants dopey and rheagan to prescribe a dosage of medicine to help the ailing giant. The answer was NO, instead they got together with their surgeons an bayed for blood from the giant, and blood they got!Instead of nursing him back to health they went for the throat and tried to strangle what life was left in him.The problem they had with this giant he had the heart of a lion a heart that would refuse to stop beating. As they all stood there with blood on their hands they decided to try another hospital, to see if they would nurse the giant back to health, but the giant has other ideas, he fancies a couple of years away from the playground to pastures new perhaps. After the sabatical the giant will be restored to full health an ready to enter the playground again, bigger, fitter, stronger and better. The giant will no doubt want to pop in and visit the other ill patients at the time of his demise the only problem is some wont be around as they will have been kicked out there homes and perhaps some may of passed away for good ,bless! The free prescription is over for these clubs and they will need to pay for their own medicine now.As for the consultants they must surely be held accountable aswell as our custodians for gross neglegence.
  16. I remember beating utd at tannadice 2-0 and the following week at ibrox we played hibs and 21,000 turned out to watch a 1-0 victory, the following week we played the sheep and 38,000 were there is any wonder games went all ticket in 86-87
  17. coming from killie i got a snippet of this yesterday of a mate who works at rugby park.basically under the s.f.a fit and proper rules owners and chairmen have to do what is best for the club and buisness.voting Rangers out could come back to haunt these clowns as they may be prosecuted by these failings ha.
  18. yeah the days before all ticket and a season book at ibrox a must.
  19. Being a bear is never plain sailing as we all know by now. my old man took me to the brox in 77, f.c Twente and 0-0 draw followed but standing as a 7yr old on the broomloan rd terrace had me hooked.from big Jock leaving to the highs and lows oy the 79 season the picture was starting to develop. The early eighties brought tough times with 4th and sometimes 5th place finishes the best the league got. As we toiled behind a host of teams going to the away games was special, the bears would cram the terraces in their thousands and sing their hearts out regardless of the score.I remember reading that only 1000 fans were heading to sheepville for a meaningless midweek fixture in the winter, aye right, over 5000 bears crammed into the beach end that night, a well deserved 1-1 draw had the bears in raptures as the noise levels nearly took the roof off.nights like that are what seperate us from the self proclaimed tgfitw.(pricks) what im getting at as hard times and hopefully div3 approach we should seize the opportunity to cram these grounds and watch the rebirth of the blues as i did in 86.
  20. Hibs will be 1 of the 1st to endure money woes as they are skint and are set for losses again this year.
  21. Did anyone hear that arse doncaster last night? "Why should 41 clubs suffer because of 1 clubs misdemeanours" obvious reference that clubs will go to the wall without our cash.let me get this straight are the gers now to blame for all the clubs who are millions in debt, you couldnae make it up.
