I think we'd be fine with 5 excellent D3 players, ie. Teale, Black, Beattie etc. Although we'll need to replace whoever leaves from Alexander, Bedoya, Wallace, McCulloch, Broadfoot, Hutton.
Savage had said in the future he would like to finish his career at home town club Wrexham before going on to manage them.[6] He also said that the greatest regret of his football career was not signing for Everton when he had the chance in 2005.[7] Aye that's left me seething
Bye Dorin. Fair play to him if he really was going to play for us in the first, but I think we can all accept that the Third Division is too far down for him.
Well we can't expect to play kids and win back to back promotions, these lower league clubs are not as bad as some might think. They'll raise their game against us, too. I agree that £5k is a bit much but we're going to need a bit of quality. Maybe if they really want to stay, we can renegotiate their contracts so that they're on a smaller wage.
There is an annual youth intake of players. However, I don't think it's happened for us yet this season. Should be a really good place for young players to come to, huge club with a genuine chance of first team football.
Goodbye and thanks for the efforts, Salim. Showed a lot of class coming back to training when we were short of players, some players even with a contract didn't bother showing up!
Fuck McCabe. Look at how much time and effort the youth coaches put into him, the faith from Walter and Ally to play him in the first team and the support from us when he was playing, all thrown back in our faces. Doesn't deserve to play for our club.
I also think Broadfoot and Alexander will stay, they haven't done too much since coming here and won't have too many options. I think Wallace will stick with us, and Bedoya will probably leave, not sure what kind of wage he'd be on, though.
Posted this in the other thread but heard it again today. Rangers, St Midden and Teale have all agreed that Teale will come here for free when this transfer farce gets sorted out (he still has a year left on his deal). He's good mates with Jig and they played together at Wigan, think he's a Rangers man as well.
Young players are definitely the way to go through Divisions 2 and 3, I think we can win back to back with our youth squad, plus Wallace and Jig, we could need a few more quality players once First Division time comes, though
