    I want to like him, but I don't think I do. Far too often he's completely ineffectual, picks up silly bookings and lacks pace to do real damage on the break, most of which probably explains why he's at us in the first place. Like most in the squad, if a reasonable offer came in, I'd sell to give the boss as much money as we can to support him.

    No point in him being out on loan if they don’t play him. Maybe he’s not as good as we all hoped but if it’s an attitude issue (as we’ve suspected before), he needs to wake up or it’ll be over very soon.

    I just hope he’s here to see these things through, he’s just saying what we’ve been saying for years about improving the transfer model. Do wonder if all of those things were known when he agreed to join us or whether he’s getting p’d off about the state of the club from top to bottom.

    Classy player in the best footballing team I’ve ever seen us have. Was within one kick of being taken into immortality as a manager but he just overthought our league and was on the wrong end of the fast Aussie’s team going on an incredible run of form. The way the board dealt with his departure with Beale stunk and he didn’t deserve that, albeit his time with us was up. Wish him nothing but success, unless they ever draw us.

    Happy new year to everyone on here, hopefully all our desires for this year come true.

    From top to bottom at the club, I feel there’s an acceptance that second is an ok thing, g’tees Europe and then we go and top our EL group so into the last 16, playing second fiddle in the league is then fine. Winning the odd trophy satisfies us, rather than demanding dominance.
