  1. Hard to be critical after winning 5-1, no matter the league. Lacklustre start and still creaky with 3 at back and so far apart you could drive a bus through, three sitting midfielders that you could throw a blanket over at times in the 1st and the two wider players couldn't go past their full backs. McKay was a standout and Little proved he'll get us goals. McCoist pushed MacLeod further forward in second half and team seem to have better structure then. Early doors so the team still looks a bit short of match sharpness and a bit disjointed at times but streets ahead of last week's shambles. Hopefully, theres only improvements to come but well played boys, a result that sent the packed house home happy!!
  2. Haha, I thought at half time "this guy is shit, who the fuck is he?" and looked it up and the same thought ran through my head!
  3. MacLeod had a better second half than he did in the first; you could have thrown a blanket over the middle three most of the time in the 1st but he pushed forward in the second and had a bit more influence on the game.
  4. Hullo Hullo we are the Rangers Boys, Hullo Hullo you'll know us by our noise, we are the best team in the land that no one can deny, for we are the Glasgow Rangers Boys????
  5. We can't just have one song so happy to go with several of those mentioned. I think we need a cleaned up version of TBB as that would wind up everyone that can't wait to suggest sectarianism is still in full flow at Ibrox. Nott's Forest use a version of TBB so maybe we could steal part and have "Hello Hello we are the Rangers Boys, Hello Hello you'll know us by our noise, we are the best team in the land that no one can deny" then an ending??
  6. Did anyone see Burnieston on Monday night and the footie fans with a new song - whatever the song you just add "and you'se are bastards" at the end of it an its acceptable!!
  7. Still £20 on Amazon and got mine delivered yesterday. I like the plain jersey with large crest but dislike Umbro goods and JJB stores in general so am not surprised we're looking at moving to e.g. Puma and Sports Direct. If we do produce a new jersey under a different manufacturer and it's a looker, it'll sell out so "kaching kaching" for the coffers!
  8. SFA agendas? surely not! Another example of enabling support to clubs in crisis down south whereas EVERY club up here couldn't wait to stick the knife in to us. What goes around comes around and I can't wait to watch it happen!
  9. I agree with last year, I didn't think Ally looked like he could take us forward, as soon as the slide started he seemed incapable of stopping it - to go from 15pts up to being behind suggests that. Oh and the standard of football we played was garbage - excepting two old firms games at Ibrox. However, the way he conducted himself from 14/2 onwards deserves support from us for a period of time but he'll need to learn fast and make sure we do improve. If we can't dominate in this league with the players at his disposal then we've no chance of moving this club forward. Bad attitudes should be moved on asap irrespective of who it is - cue Ferguson to Blackburn when he was arguably our best player. If your not 100%committed and don't want to get the head down and make sure your boss picks you then move them on. I'd imagine Hutton thought he'd get picked after having been in the 1st last year so transferred across. Now he isn't getting picked, maybe the rattle has come out the pram but the squad is still a bit thin so I'd be surprised if he was seen as surplus to requirements unless more were coming in and he has a bad attitude.
  10. I agree to an extent with you but "concern" is too strong a word so early into the season and what has gone on this summer. Last Saturday was a woeful performance but we didn't start well against the jambos on Day1 last season but then went on a great run until the shit hit the fan around Nov time. If they can't get up for the game on Saturday coming when it will be a sell out then some concern would start to kick in a bit then. I do agree though that we should take this opportunity to bleed in some younger players but he is doing that to some extent. Is Hutton the answer? who knows. He was a good prospect initially but as soon as McCabe and Ness were introduced to the team then I think most realised Hutton wasn't anywhere near as good as them. They've done what they've done and left so would Hutton progress if given a chance, only time will tell I guess.
  11. Wonder if we'll have more at the game on Saturday than all the SPL games put together, that's got to be a world record for ANY country. Then you can even add the paltry sum at tonights International game. Gents, we are indeed the people and let's not let any of them forget it!!!
  12. I'm trying to book tickets online - dragging the Mrs and kids up to it - they're 13 & 12 so can someone confirm if they are juvenile tickets or concessions?? it's not quite clear on the website!
  13. As usual, the rules of the SPL are being made up as they go along!
  14. Clubfoot's not good enough and won't improve. He can't pass the ball 5yards in front of him without the hand coming up to apologise but then again, the rest of the team were piss poor on Saturday as well. We should keep the ball way better than what we've been doing and being in the 3rd Div is a perfect opportunity to develop a passing style that is pleasing on the eye to the fans e.g. Swansea without the pressure of winning every game to stay ahead of the bheasts. I know we can't afford players of that calibre but our players should still be streets ahead of part time painter & decorators that will be riddled throughout this league. If we'd drawn 2-2 on Saturday but had played great football and got stung twice then we wouldn't have had such a bashing from anyone and everyone. We've had to put up with shitey football for too long ao hopefully the work at Murray Park will pay dividends a month or so into the season. Keeping the ball for better and longer should be paramount here.
  15. Poor preparation, poor tactics and poor application from the players. Doesn't matter what level you play at, if you don't play with tempo and desire then it's gonna be a struggle. Tactics were appalling and I have concern over Ally's tactical awareness (as I did last season). There's no reason to panic but what a massive wake up call for us all! I can't believe the players lack of motivation with the support the fans have given them since the shit hit the fan!
  16. No tactics, no pace, no urgency, no clue - disgraceful
  17. a point missed by everyone connected with other clubs
  18. The Fantastic Four - after we win each league consecutively
  19. Leeds '92 for me. One of the first games I took my Mrs to and never forget her getting carried away and shouting at Strachan that he was a ginger wanker lmao. Surreal atmosphere was when the mankies were banned, there was beach balls in the Govan front to celebrate the party!
  20. Unsponsored version still £30 in Megastore online - wonder for how long based on demand at £20. '72 top was the first one I was bought as a boy with a 2 on the back for Sandy J - ah memories (sighs)!
