Seen Arthur Numan in Silverburn today. Also seen him a couple years ago in Braehead. Point is, he must be living in Glasgow. Got me thinking that he shoulld still be involved with the club somehow. I know coaching etc isn't for everyone but with him being in the small group of players that have played for us we can genuinely call ' world class ' and him being a Dutchman, who are renowned for youth football, it seems mad for him not to be involved with us even part-time as a youth coach or something.

Fact is just now we have a poor team, poor manager, poor coaching team, under- performing youth set up, and fuck knows who is running/owning the club and who is the good and bad guys. But we have a cracking stadium, amazing fans, a top training ground and seemingly tens of millions in the bank. We just need to sort the personnel which is sortable. And that's no offence to Nicky Law.He is better than what we have but just feel he is a Motherwell / Hearts / Hibs standard player with who we know what we are getting. A player like Clark is an unknown quantity but 35 goals from midfield in our division is a no-brainer. Did Ian Ferguson not sign from the lower leagues ?

Young, hungry , proven at SFL2 level, no transfer fee , less than 1k a week, a Rangers fan. But fuck it. Sign another mediocre 30 year old + SPL player to go through the motions and pick up a handsome wage. Clark would be on a 1 or 2 year contract playing for another. If he is pish then we lose say £800 a week for a season or two. Well worth a gamble. And personally I'd be more excited going to see a young player like him for the first time than a Nicky Law.

Agree with the OP. Green made me nervous even before the Craig Whyte rumours. Alistair Johnston was spot on through all the Craig Whyte stuff and seemed to have our best interests at heart. He gets the thumbs up from me.
