  1. Green came in and bought the club when there was serious uncertainty about our future. He put the club on the way to being financially secure ( albeit through us the fans ). He restored fight in us and fought against the one way mud-slinging from the SPL, SFA, Celtic and the media after years of ' the dignified silence 'under Murray. His outspokeness was refreshing. But after the dust had settled he continued to speak out when it was maybe not necessary. I fear he was feeding his ego and playing to the crowd when he should have been getting on with the job. His ' Paki ' comment showed a lack of media savvy. And the Craig Whyte rumours caused serious concern. He was starting to divide the support and that is the last thing we need at this time. Let's get the right man in now who is befitting the club and can sort this mess out. But thanks to Green for all he has done and for stepping aside at the right time. Now let's get behind the team again. Hopefully we get the right CEO in, a decent scouting team in and make changes to the youth set up so we are prepared for the future. Looks like McCoist will be in charge next season so let's give him one more chance. Hopefully we get big season ticket sales and some decent players brought in the summer. Onwards and upwards from here. Think today is the first day after the Whyte and Green era.
  2. Some right fucking odd-balls out there. What the fuck was this all about !?
  3. Either the first or the last bullet point. I suspect both tbh.
  4. Weird guy. But I'm sure people on here have been in amateur teams with guys who are cracking players but just don't fit in with the rest of the team and eventually drift away. Same thing really.
  5. What has Green actually done that has made him so popular ? Bought the club for 5.5 million ( bargain ), said everything we wanted to hear and got us to put our hand in our pocket for shares ? Hate that I have doubts about him because we really need to be united. But the blind faith in him on here reminds me of Craig Whyte. People are keen to call it a media witch-hunt but the truth is there is a bit of substance in the Craig Whyte story and it worries me. He won't fuck us over like Whyte did because it isn't in his interest but I fear he may use us to feed his ego with the fame and rape us for every penny. I hope my fears are unfounded and in a few years I'm on here apologising but I'm like a wee burd who has had her trust broken in the past and it will take time to trust someone again As I say hopefully he is the man for us. But there has to be a healthy suspicion so we can keep an eye on him and keep him in line. Blind faith is dangerous.
  6. The Charles Green love in goes on. Getting credit for things he's not had a part in now. Cringey and arrogant to say he influenced the vote.
  7. Fuck sake...this isn't a family fun day....walky talkies...bouncy bouncy waves and electric guitars. What about a bouncy castle section ? Better standard of football is all we need. Bigger Blue Order /UB section would be good though.
  8. That one was prob a bit unrealistic tbf. Gomis would do the same job for a third of the wage at this level.
  9. Always thought he was a rigjt pain in the arse when he played against us and he's still scoring goals in the Championship. Thought Paul MacGowan would have been more controversial. Ugly fucker. You can tell he is one of them. But was good every time we pkayed St Mirren and was excellent in the semi and final of the League Cup. Thought he ran it.
  10. Hes out of contract. Worth a phonecall. You looking for another wee late night argument again ?
  11. With Wallace, McCulloch, Templeton, Little , MacLeod, McKay , Shiels and Black to add to that it gives us a squad of 19 decent players and fill the rest with true prospects and we will breeze the league and give decent showings in the cups !
  12. If Ally says he wants 10 signings heres who I would go for : GK - Samson and Bell RB - Wotherspoon or Ryan McGowan CB - Danny Wilson and either Bikey or Alex Pearce CM - Paul McGowan and either Bridcutt or Gomis RW- Chris Burke ( short term ) FW - Daly ( short term) K Miller ( short term ) Scott MacDonald ( short term ) Thats 11
  13. Would be happy with Bikey and Wilson as our centre backs next season. Bikey would be a great signing. Experienced in the Prem and Champ which is a far better league than SPL. Strong and quick with a nasty side. Anyone know a right back and our defence would be sorted ?
  14. I dunno man. He went on loan to Crystal Palace and flopped big time. Played 1 game and came back so can't see a whole load of Championship teams coming in. And I'm not sure if he has a year or 2 years left on his contract. If its 2 no way Blackburn would pay that off. Just think he's a bit more like the sort of player we want to be looking at short term. He has pace, strength and can finish. Flopped in England so he has a point to prove. He's youngish so take him on for 2 years and if he starts playing like he did at Dundee United keep him for SPL and Europe.
  15. What about David Goodwillie ? He is having a terrible time down at Blackburn. Wouldn't be surprised if he was released at the end of the season. I would take a gamble on him at 5k a week for a season or 2.
  16. I honestly don't think hes any better than an in form and motivated Sandaza ! If he signs I'll back him fully but this is just a short term fix which indicates the style of football isn't going to be any better next year.
  17. Threads an embarassment. May aswell close it if people want to argue like housewives at brunch.
  18. Sandaza was one of the best SPL strikers last year. Shiels and Black were also some the best in their positions. Point is, we are not getting the best out of them. They should be producing a lot better. One of two might be a co-incidence but all of them means there is a problem internally. If Daly signs, I'll back him 100% but I can't help being disappointed with signing a 30 year old long ball target man, who has hardly set the heather on fire at Dundee United.
  19. On current form he's better than what we've got. But I don't think hes any better than McCulloch, Sandaza or possibly even Little. If we can get those guys playing anywhere near where they can they are as good or if not better than Daly. If we don't have a young striker in the youth team or a youngish striker lined up I would rather we went with what we've got up front for next season. If we can get our strikers playing at half their ability they should score barrel loads in SFL2.
  20. Might be because this is a fans forum and that's what you do here ? Next time I'll run my opinion past you and you can let me know if its ok. And what makes your opinion so special that you felt the need to comment on me. Total hypocrisy here. You are making a tit of yourself.
  21. Haha...must get boring watching jeremy kyle all day for these cretins
  22. Well he is certainly running the club and if issues do start arising then we the fans need to spot them and act together so we can remove him if need be . Would never put blind faith in anyone I don't fully know. He's done a lot of good things and is x100 better than.Bain and Murray but we need to be careful not to give him a cringey God-like status. Giving him free reign and not excuse some of his strange rants as some sort of genuis masterplan. It's cringey.
  23. Don't see how my original post wasn't platformed for debate ? Was a lot better than your response of " no-one cares ya no mark " Think I've came across a bit more willing to debate than you have.
