Didn't seem to be involved much in this game. Definitely not showing the form he did early in the season and I suspect if Arfield had been fit he would have been left on the bench.

The number of over hit passes and through balls last night was surely something that would have concerned Gerrard and hopefully so were the corners, Tav was having a poor time of it with them.
It's really frustrating watching a game like that where guys you know can pass the ball are just booting it and no one is ever going to reach it and the corners were atrocious at times. I know nerves can play a part but some of our players looked nervous as fuck on the ball, although the dirty bastards were getting away some nasty fouls so perhaps It's understandable.
They have to get their heads on straight for Sunday and for the game in Moscow.

We have to go to Spartak next (duh obviously) and that's going to be a fucking huge game but I think we can get another result away from home.
They will play more like they did in the second half, they'll attack, and that will leave gaps behind them that players like Kent, Ejaria and Middleton can exploit at least if Gerrard brings Middleton on with more than 5 minutes left. Hopefully we can remember put the scoring boots on as last night it sometimes looked like they'd put their boots on the wrong feet.
They are no mugs but if we get a decent ref and not someone who ate the entire production run of special brownies prior to the game then we might just see those hammer and sickle throwing bastards properly penalised.

Watched it on telly and the play acting was horrendous, the number of times a Spartak player went down as if poleaxed was truly ridiculous and that Dutch prick of a ref fell for it every time.
The studs into Candeias could have been a leg breaker and deserved a straight red card.
The booking for Morelos was a joke twice the Spartak player barged and twice he was pushed away as players do the second time though he went down holding his face when the camera clearly showed the push had been in the chest.
The tackle from the back on Grezda in the box just caught his heel it would have been given 99 times out of a hundred.
I honestly couldn't tell if the ref had been bought or had been presented with a basket of skunk brownies or had been told "be nice to us we have your family and some Novichok, and we're not afraid to use it."
That being said we let some solid chances to bury those cheating cunts go begging in the second half.
