  1. Yes I did, with my mother Cathy, my brother Finlay, neice Giliian and nephew Robert. I have fond memories of going on big SD bus and it was at the start of our golden era{9 in a row) When Stuart was on form there was nobody funnier. I met Davy Gillan on a couple of occasions at the Convention.Davy is a cracking guy. Do I know you?
  2. Why don't you come with me and Ed and I can be the refereee.LOL!!!Seriously you will love it.
  3. Met Chuck and his wife after the gig and got some photos.Met some cracking guys at the gig who offered us some blow just before it started. Did indeed get upgrade on the flight and ended up sitting beside two Tims. I had my Rangers top on for the journey and had some good banter with them and a few bevvies. The stewardess who was a beautiful black woman from New York charged the Tims for their rounds but wouldn't taker a penny off me{no kidding}. She asked me who the Rangers were and I told her "the most successful soccer team in the world" She seemed to like that ,mind you my two tarrier friends nearly choked on their Buds. I also went to a baseball match; The San Francisco GIants versus Toronto Blue Jays. I am not a fan of baseball but it was a great event to go to. The Giants have just built a new stadium and it is pretty awesome. I was rooting for the Blue Jays as they played in blue jerseys and they won 4-0.There was something really cool about watching the game and having a few buds at the same time NARSA Convention is in Toronto next year and then Redondo Beach in LA the following year I think.I will be defo going to one of them. You should try and come as well Ed.
  4. Your a right wee master of wit and repartee then mate?Whatever it is your on pease come off it and get back to reality. All said with he greatest of respect to you of course.
  5. My first time at NARSA Convention and it was absolutely superb. It was like one big happy Rangers family with every one getting on so well{unlike on here). There were so many highlights but for me, marching over the Golden Gate Bridge behind GPB was pretty awesome.I was on the open top bus that took the band to the bridge and they performed a few well known songs on the top of the bus and the locals stared on in amazement, they had never quite seen anything like it. The Convention night was also memorable and Craig Mathers gave an impressive speech as did Ally.I must give a special mention to Ally as he stood for over three hours getting photos taken with the fans and he was so sincere in his praise of the Rangers supporters.I really hope he can turn it round this season. It was a great opportunity to make new friends and catch up with old ones. I met so many guys from KP and Plantation and in particular caught up with my oldest pal Davy Currie.Davy was in fine form and it was great to see a true friend again. I roomed with my cousin Christines husband Alan Armour and we had a brilliant time and even had the opportunity to take in a gig at the Great American Music Hall to see Chuck Prophet who was superb. I met some great guys from the Fraserburgh Loyal but everyone you met was so friendly and it made you at times feel quite emotional about the love for our club. I would urge any Rangers fan who is thinking about going to a NARSA event to go for it .You wont be disappointed. WATP
  6. This is like someone mocking someone who is having a breakdown on the internet.Disgusting
  7. There will be three great friends meeting up in San Francisco who were brought up together in Plantation in the early 1960s. Davy Currie and Lindsay Marshall from Maclean Street and Alan Armour from Plantation Street. Who would have thought fifty years later they would be meeting up in of all places San Francisco. What a party its going to be.!!!
  8. Do you remember the baldy speccy guy that sold follow follow with his beautiful wee blond daughter.I think they outsold you every week with their great patter and wit? Teatime, Coffee time, follow follow time etc
  9. Not really Buggleskely, if only Will Hay and his two accomplices were alive and on the Rangers board we might not be in the mess we are now.
  10. Well I knew Jacky Marshall the boxer, will that do for starters
  11. Did you know that Will Hay attended the very first Rangers Convention in USA. Pity you cant be there Ed.
  12. Cant wait to catch up with ma old pals from Kinning Park who are also going. Looks like a great 4 days ahead. Football match, golf day , a march across the Golden Gate bridge ,visit to Alcatraz, the Convention night itself in the Wyatt hotel and a farewell night at a top German restaurant with some special music getting played. I am also going to a gig to see the legendary Chuck Prophet who is playing in The Great American Music Hall. Chuck is from San Francisco so it should be pretty special. Oh well,it cant be grief all the time.!!! WATP
  13. Nobody is absolving anyone,I can understand that the OP made a knee jerk reaction that has turned out to be a tragedy and it is certainly not funny in any way. You continue to try and justify inappropriate comments after the full facts are known when a family have lost a loved one and you are continuing to act like a fanny{womans vagina) just now.Perhaps you could contact the dead mans familly and tell them that you think it is okay to have a joke about their tragic loss. I have every sympathy for the family but I don't see any evidence of you offering condolences. You think you are one smart guy who hides behind the anonymity of your well worn out keyboard. You my friend have lost touch with reality and thats not surprising to me given the amount of posts you have on here .You try to attack my morals but it is okay for you to have morals where it is okay to make fun of the dead. God help us!!You have still not answered my previous question. Cat got your tongue,eh?
  14. I have not got a problem with you Luton Blue . You have shown remorse and it was a knee jerk reaction to something and we all have been guilty of that in our time. The same cant be said for Casey Jones in my opinion who thinks that someone dying at a football match merits jokes and he continues to defend that line of thought.
  15. Your struggling mate.I did ask you a question and you are trying to wriggle out of it.I will ask you again. Can you explain how the loved ones in those two situations would not be extremely upset by those two insensitive actions?
  16. Having a go at me is not answering the question. Can you explain what you mean by that then, why they are not similar in showing a lack of respect to someone who has passed away, and can you also explain how the loved ones in those two situations would not be extremely upset by those insensitive actions?
  17. I would say that someone attending a funeral and booing at a coffin is showing that person and his family a lack of respect in the same way that making a joke about someone who has just died at a football match is equally showing a lack of respect to that person and his family.
  18. Of course. Why do you think it is so popular?
  19. Not nonsense friend.Willhay has millions of followers worldwide. Read his views before you make such rash comments. You dont need drugs if you abide by his philosophy.
  20. Are you saying that you disagree with willhay and his philosophy?.He was a great and wise man. You should read up on him. His book How High, is a chinaman story unlike any other. It may well enlighten you my friend
