  1. Aye but let's be realistic. There is no way a player with most of his career ahead of him would want to come to Scotland and have the shit kicked into him but centre-halves with no pace and sharpened studs. Franco on the other hand could handle himself and he's more than comfortable with the ball at his feet. I think I've cursed him for the game btw, he's missed two very good chances with his head. so are we not allowed to have ball players or creative players coz they will just get kicked? Here's a game for you to play. It's called "find where I said that in my post". It's nice and easy. You try and find the sentence that justifies what you typed based on what I put. I said he wouldn't want to come to Scotland, not that we aren't allowed to have him. Think you might be needing a pair of specs.
  2. I'm sorry, I thought this was a message board for people to voice their opinions. Clearly not. Don't like the thread? Don't post. Better yet, jog on and don't read it. Thats exactly what im doing! Voicing my opinion. Said opinion is that there will be loads of ridiculous suggestions throughout the WC. It's not ridiculous at all. He's unattached, we are in the market for strikers and his wages are viable. He's also playing in the World Cup so he can't be as bad as people are making out.

  5. Playing just now for Mexico in the World Cup, he's been released by West Ham. He is knocking on a bit at 33 years of age but he would be available on a free and he has top-level experience with Villarreal. The wages would be a slight worry but a leak of the wage structure at West Ham in May this year but him on £20k a week. He's a strong player and good in the air so he could hack the SPL in my opinion and, while he hasn't been prolific since he left his home country, he has scored in strong leagues and he'd get more than enough chances at Rangers. The lure of trophies and European football, especially at his age, could be a dealbreaker. Thoughts?
  6. yep, offer 500k for goodwillie and conway Or turn around to them both and tell them we'll double their wages if they let their Dundee Utd contracts expire. See what that cunt Thompson has to say about that.
  7. With all due respect, there are more important things to concentrate on. I'd much rather we had a solid and competitive playing squad for next season that make additions to the coaching roster.
  8. The one thing that irks me about this the most is that we will lose him for nothing. It's fucking shocking business practise from an RFC point of view that our most saleable asset is being lost for nothing. It also pisses me off that a professed "Rangers man" in Kris Boyd would turn down a solid contract offer for a transfer fee in January then go and tout himself to that club 6 months later and use the lack of a transfer fee as a bargaining chip to get a better deal. I'll miss his goals but I won't miss his lethargic attitude and the startlingly juvenile petulance he displayed when he wasn't getting his own way (see his title "celebrations" this season as a case in point). On the flip side of the coin, this means it will be a huge season for the likes of Lafferty, Naismith and Velicka and I really sincerely hope at least one of them steps up to the task.
  9. For me, it shows the difference between Smith and Papac. Even if Papac couldn't jump for the ball, his experience as a centre-back means he'd do all within his power to stop Fortune getting a clean header on the ball. But aye, you'd expect Alexander to come out, take the ball and knock them about like ten-pins.
  10. Didn't realise songs were being sung about his dead dad, that's not really on. Also, it was more of an enquiry as to whether he actually spat on a fan or just spat in the general direction of the fans so please don't accuse me of trying to hop on the offended bandwagon, eh?
  11. Sticks and stones, eh? There's just a wee bit of a difference between singing a song that's maybe lacking a wee bit in taste and getting gobbed at. Tell you what, you start singing in the street and see how you react if someone spits at you. If it's true, it's an disgusting act from a disgusting excuse for a man.
  12. Read this today in The Sun online, not putting a link for the bastards to get clicks but the quote in the match report suggests Boruc gobbed towards the Rangers fans before going off. This was, perhaps predictably, not shown on the telly so if anyone there could confirm or deny this? Not that it would be infeasible for it to just go away. This is after all the man who has a warning for breach of the peace yet avoids further punishment when sticking the fingers up to our fans and running towards them waving various flags.
  13. I'm sure it only happens for the first game after you actually clinch the title, not the rest of the season. For instance, I'm sure that if we won the title Saturday vs Dundee Utd, a guard of honour would be more or less mandatory.
  14. I think it's Higgins being afraid of the emerging talent in the game and wanting to cement a nest-egg for the future. The likes of Ali Carter, Neil Robertson, Mark Selby and Mark Allen are coming through and with players like O'Sullivan, Mark Williams and Shaun Murphy being consistently in the latter stages of tournaments, he knows his playing time is nearing the end. It's a shame though, even as one of them, he was a bloody good player. Unfortunately, the apple never falls far from the tree with them.
  15. MUST see the title ceremony and all of mine went down right on full time!! Please anyone?
  16. Not a chance with Utd breathing down their necks for second.
  17. Just because we offer alternative points of view doesn't make us less of a fan that you, ya fuckin nugget. Glad Lafferty has scored but he is still an awful player and one goal won't change my opinion on that. nobody says it does but you lot are negative bastards at times and your alternate viewpoints are strange at times, he might not be the best but would you enjoy your party any less???? ftp and his followers watp You are a moron mate if you are trying to suggest I'm a tim. An utter moron. Tell you what, I'll continue to field my opinions on what I see and you can just ignore them. Back to the game however, I think it might be time to bring Boyd off for Naismith and let Lafferty play through the middle.

  19. i dont rate him but fuck me thats harsh as for kyle at least hes trying to be direct, a thought most of the moany bastards went to ibrox to grumble, seems they are here aswell Stop whinging ffs Here was me thinking I was allowed an opinion on my team. Better keep quiet in future, eh? Lafferty has upped his workrate wide left, I'll give him that but he cannot beat a man, he cannot cross and his attempt at goal (if you can call it that) in the last minute was pathetic. Give me Naismith any day; he'd at least take his man on rather than playing a ball into Miller and expect him to break wide to supply Boyd.
  20. Kenny Miller, the ONLY decent showing in the first half. Perhaps Thomson and Bouggy would get pass marks but that's really it. McCulloch, anonymous. Papac, goes walkabout and posted missing on 2 big Hearts chances. Lafferty, the usual. Hook Lafferty for Naismith at half time. I'd wait for 10-15 mins of the second half before swapping McCulloch for Edu. If things are dire late on, take off Boyd and stick on Novo.
  21. Where the fuck has Papac been on the 2 dangerous balls down the Hearts right? He's been playing left-back long enough to know he needs to track back, especially when he has a forward playing left wing.
  22. Dirty wee foul by the inferior Thomson there, could have broke Davie's hip.
