Rangers should never allow themselves to get to the point where they have a team full of '30 somethings' as they did in Walters final year last time round. Most clubs nowadays allow their better players to leave for a fee with them having a couple of years at the top left in them and we should be no different. Davis is the perfect replacement for Barry and i'd rather take £2m for someone with another couple of years at the top (given his recent injuries) than someone like Boyd who has several years in him. However i'd take £5.5 - £6m for both any day.

Boyd is a junky and Walter and SDM want rid o, a shame but true. He is a natural goal scorer against the smaller clubs but is way off the quality we need for europe (next season) we'd be aswell makin some money from him and let him snort his stuff down south.

Good player, if he came back with a point to prove and cost nothing then i don't see the harm in giving it a go. On his day he's a match winner and thats what we need... along with a central defender or possibly two, two wingers, a deadball specailist, someone to take the midfield by the scruff o the neck....

Agree with Dailly and McCulloch, not even sure they know their best position, Broadfoot doesnt look natural but cant question his workrate and now and then he surprises me, he's nowt more than a squad player but i'd keep him. The pish thing is that Adam is our nearest thing to a deadball specialist!! thats the big big reason we have never been able to put fear into teams, every team nowadays has someone that can take a good freekick and think of how many games we've been scared to give away a freekick in our own half and yet when we get one we canny do fuck all with it. Davis is still keen on the move so grab him now, my only concern is that we still badly need a more creative midfielder and deadball specialist, the aussie guy might fit the bill The money equates to £4 for Davis, £4m which has been branded about for the aussie dude and the £3m which is no doubt now needed for Loovens??? £11m on top of the £9ishm already spent gives £20m. Take away Cuellars £7.8m and the total spend is more like £12m, thats not a kick in the arse off what we got for Hutton! There should be this amount available easily. Consider Davis and Loovens as investments that will be sold on eventually and this is good business. C'MON MURRAY MAKE IT HAPPEN NOW!!! they have a decent scouting system, when you look at the players they have signed for under £1m that have done extremely well for them... not entirely ure how much they've spent this summer but from memory its not a lot!? the bot crosas gotta be a decent player if barca have inserted a clause to take him back in 2 years! and i think he was only £600k or summin. they've rarely spent a lot of money on shit like we do winny nilly. and we seem to always be pushed into panic purchases, Lawell knows that and is playin a game tryin to squeeze us to pay up and put further pressure on Walter n co if he messes up AGAIN!
