  1. Really? That bad? I know they're no world beaters, and I admit I did struggle to get a full 11 but I think most of them didn't really get much opportunity at Ibrox. The point of the 11 is not to create a great Rangers team, merely players IMO, who, if given more of a chance could have brought something to the party, many of those listed in the Rejects Rangers 11, definitely did not. I'm also a little bored too! Maybe by unlucky I should have included injured players too. That way Mols and Prso would make my forward line more impressive! Toolongawke - Fabrice Fernandes. On loan from Fulham. Scored a peach away to Motherwell then disappeared!
  2. There has been a spate of greatest Rangers 11's done over the past while which I always enjoy and it's always difficult to think of original themes as most can get done to death, so I've tried to think of a slightly different way of making a Rangers 11. My Rangers 11 is based on players who you don't think have been given a fair crack of the whip in your opinion or when they have played, they have been played out of position (this does not merely include Ally's current first 11! ) or players who have just been unlucky to have great players playing in front of them and as a result were not given much, if any game time. They don't necessarily need to have gone on to have great careers. They merely need to have shown a bit of promise at Ibrox to have been given a better shot. Niemi Wishart J Rod Kerkar C Burke Sandy Robertson Fernandes Adam M McKay McCormack Beattie Subs Charbonnier Fetai Aaron Fleck PS The irony is not lost on me playing Salim (and Wishart) slightly out of position!! I was struggling for defenders! Also, Salim was technically pretty decent! A good run of games and I reckon he'd have done well for us.
  3. There are too many sadly! Letizi Ross Cribari Svensson Bollan Ortiz Emerson Faye Rothen Ostenstad Jeffers Vs Sandaza Gayle Sebo Mladenovic Konterman Capucho Bernard Fan Fan Webster Whittaker Christiansen Guaranteed epic!
  4. I vaguely remember Luigi Bruins being on trial for a week. Did he ever play in a friendly or bounce game? I'm not sure if he did but we have gone through so many trialists over the past few years! Hard to remember them all!
  5. Underrated D Robertson Wallace Niemi Johansson Vidmar Cleland Wishart Andrews Latapy S Thompson Dodds Burke Ian Ferguson (He wasn't as good as some of the 9IAR squad but was better than he gets credit for IMO) Durie Reyna Buffel McCann Flo I feel obliged to clarify my reasoning for Flo as I can imagine a few are a little surprised I consider him underrated. Yes, he wasn't out greatest ever player, not by a long shot be he certainly wasn't our worse, not even close. He had a pretty decent goal scoring record and played well for us on a few occasions. However, everyone automatically thinks Flo = £12 million dud which I think is grossly unfair. Also, taking into account we received close to £7million for him from Sunderland, the outlay, outwith his wages was just over £5 million, which is roughly what we paid for Kanchelskis! Therefore, on the whole and taking everything into consideration I would say he is underrated considering the general opinion of him. Overrated Whittaker Kanchelskis To be honest I don't think many of our players are that overrated. I genuinely can't think of many players who are considered great that I don't rate. A lot of the players given as overrated IMO are merely players I regard as decent to good players so don't really class them as overrated. They're just alright. Even Kanchelskis isn't a great answer as I don't think the majority of us particularly rated him much anyway. He was merely decent IMO. Whittaker on the other hand is just a grade A prick on every level!
  6. What is the actual point of cunts that do this? It happens all the time on Twitter. If you have a rumour then tell us the fucking rumour! Don't say you know of something huge then release fuck all! There is probably a good chance the rumour is nonsense but at least give us a chance to decide for ourselves with some info! This twitter cunt should tell us the rumour or get to fuck! Ps this post is directed to the twitter cunt (not the OP )
  7. 4-3 MVG. Good game. Anderson will rue some sloppy darts in vital legs. He should probably have won but MVG came back strong.
  8. 3-2 Anderson in sets. Anderson all over the place in the 3rd leg but goes 180, 81 finish in 5 darts to lead 2-1 in legs in the 6th set. MVG makes it 2-2 in legs. Huge leg coming up here.
  9. 3-1 Anderson on double 1! Very sloppy last leg from both players but Anderson won't care.
  10. 2-1 to Anderson in sets and he also won the 3rd set 3-0! Anderson playing well. He's even hitting doubles fairly regularly! Should probably be 3-0 in sets though!
  11. 1-1. Anderson missed double tops for 2-0. On throw. MVG to throw first in the 3rd.
  12. Anderson takes the first set against the throw. Both players had missed 3 darts each for the set. Lot of Anderson fans in the crowd by the sound of things too!
  13. I disagree. Going through the league season unbeaten should be an absolute given for us, the very bare minimum.Winning every single league game was always going to be a big ask though, as you will always have days were you just can't for the life of trying, break the opposition down. These days, whilst frustrating, are to an extent understandable. However, having so many players not turn up is just unacceptable. So is the fact we've had 3 weeks off and this is all we can bring to the party. We should have been fresh and raring to go. Not using a 3 week absence as a negative. In my opinion going through the league season without dropping any points was a pretty reasonable target. We may not have the same personnel in players that we once had but we are still Rangers and have a far stronger squad than any team within our league. We should be striking fear into every opposition that we face. Losing the 100% record isn't my biggest grievance. It's simply the manner in which it's happened, and with it being at Ibrox. Dropping points at home in this league is simply unacceptable. I also agree with the other thread in that you could see this coming sadly. We've been merely papering over the cracks in a lot of games this season and last. I reckon we'll win our next game comfortably and again the cracks will be papered over.
  14. Currently watching Scholes' 107 goals in the Premier League on SS1 just now. What a technically gifted footballer he was. I already rated him highly but just seeing all his goals in one compilation package really highlights his technique, touch, vision, awareness and finishing ability! Possibly the best central midfielder to grace the Premier League and such a humble guy too. Don't really like Man U though!
  15. Martin Bain (The (bald) Eagle) is taking over Radio Clyde (The river runs blue) and as for the single malt whisky clue, Charlie was right all along. Finally, the are coming!!
  16. Thank you for the response.I suppose there can be a number of factors that allow players who leave us and go on to improve elsewhere relatively quickly, such as playing in the correct position (as you mentioned above), maturing with age, playing consistently, playing with less pressure (it may be that, even at that age they don't quite have the mentality or belief to play for us), inadequate coaching, poor tactics, inability to nurture and improve players, late/r developers, unprofessional attitude, personal reasons, etc. It does seem that we release a lot of young talented players though who go onto have decent careers so you raise a valid point and it would be interesting to see the Clubs view on the youth set up. Hopefully, with Wallace as CEO, and with his previous experience and positive comments thus far, we will be able to get the very best out of our youth set up, as well as implement a scouting system that is imperative for our future. Just clicked on your link to your blog/s on the youths too. Very insightful. Keep up the good work. Cheers.
  17. I have only ever seen a few of them play once but I have heard positive reports with regard to Walsh, Dykes, Telfer, Hardie, Stoney and Ogen. Elfideldo, have you seen the above youngsters often enough to ascertain if they or any of our other younger players merit being on this list and/or have the ability to make the breakthrough (providing of course they are given the opportunity by Ally). Thanks in advance.
  18. Sidney Govou! More seriously though (not dismissing Govou of course!) Gigi Lentini. I don't think his transfer fee helped at Milan and then he had that horrific accident. Thought he was going to be a great player although I suppose he's just thankful to be alive.
  19. Your post is a tad contradictory. You say English is more or less speaking the truth yet in paragraph 3 you accuse many fans of jumping on a bandwagon of untruths? What is it to be or do you know all the facts?I don't believe any fans are jumping on any bandwagon. I also don't think most fans expected these guys to stay. I certainly didn't. They were too good for the lower divisions and for the sake of their careers they were always going to move on. However, they were ALWAYS going to get a move to a considerably decent team and earn a considerable amount of money (on top of the money we had kindly given to them during their stay at Ibrox, a lot of which was when they were on the treatment table, especially Naismith!). No one can surely say that is not true? Whittaker, McGregor and Naismith especially were continually linked to England and Turkey and would have got a good move even if they stayed a little longer with us. As mentioned in a previous post all I wanted was a bit of loyalty and financial recompense. I really don't think we were asking that much from them and no amount of sob stories about how difficult it was will make me feel any different.
  20. Why do some fans really care what this cretin has to say or write about us? He blatantly hates us and loves stirring up shit. I can't really be bothered dissecting his whole nonsensical article. It would take too long. However, the biggest issue for me is why is he even writing such an article now? This subject is so old news and has already been covered many many times. It is not really worth debating anymore in my opinion. For me it's gone. History. No one expected these guys to stay. All we wanted was some form of loyalty and financial recompense. There's no doubt, as hard as it is to say, these guys were always good enough to pick up another decent club without any problems. Sitting out a little longer like Broadfoot would have made very little difference to them, and they would have left heroes. They didn't though so fuck them. And fuck English for regurgitating old news for no reason at all other than being a shit stirring knob!
