  1. I know it is a serious accusation and we'll start with the £22m raised from the IPO, 2 seasons worth of ST sales in excess of 30,000 and last years. That's a fucking lot of money and it hasn't been spent on players or the stadium, so where the fuck is it? There is a long line of scumbags who have left this club with their pockets bulging.

Exactly. The IPO money should have been enough to cover the huge player wage bill for 3 years and yet we have to go cap in hand for loans to the guy who got control of our retail division for buttons. I just dont get it. Its fkn scandalous

  2. We cant have much unity at the moment as Kenny Miller said there had been fall outs about players not pulling their weight.

I dont mind hearing about fallouts like that. Are the players who come in going to get treated as equals.by the current squad? If 5 new guys came into your work place and they were given preferential treatment you would not like it. A recipe for disaster imo...

  3. There were rumours that a coach from Newcastle would be taking over. Maybe Ashley doesn't want to take that gamble because if we fail to gain promotion he gets the blame.. With Macdowell in place he can blame him if things dont pan out. There were other ways we could have almost gauranteed promotion like spending a couple of million on some new players. I look forward to seeing what these loan players have to offer but how will this news go down in the dressing room. We need unity for our promotion push and now this grenade rolls in.

  4. Think the bravery comments were partly due to him coming along in the footsteps of Wee Willie Henderson who had the heart of a lion, aided by the fact he was blind as a bat. Tommy Maclean was also about the same height as Alex McDonald who was famous for getting stuck in.

Thatsaid Maclean was a great wee player and a superb crosser of the ball

Henderson was just before my time but Alex MacDonald was my favourite player when I was young.because of his tenacity and habit of scoring vital goals. Good to know Henderson was also brave as well as skillful, you're right you dont need to be big to be brave I like wee players who get stuck right in. If there is one thing that gets me shouting and bawling nowadays its when players shirk tackles. :D .

  5. Add McMinn v Dumbarton and Walters v the scum

My memory is not what it used to be but as soon as I saw this question Ted McMinn came to mind I remember he scored one in an away game(Dumbarton sounds right) I think it created a bit of a fuss because he'd scored one the week before or maybe it was back to back away games but am sure he scored 2 in a short space of time.

  6. Tommy McLean did used to float the ball like you say ED and big DJ would be on the end of most of them. I was only a boy when Tommy was playing and remember him getting plenty of stick for not being brave enough in tackles which I thought was a bit harsh as he was not much over 5 feet, Not a game woulld go by during the time we were struggling without a few shouts of "ya wee shitebag Mclean." i probably missed him at his best but oh to have someone in the team today that could provide crosses like him..

  7. I'll tell ya, because it's no been done by king.

That's why the kingalings are down on this deal. It's pathetic. I don't trust ashley and i wouldn't advise anyone to lower the sights of their rifles until we know for a fact him being here is going to be for the good of the club, but to not celebrate the squad being strengthened in a time of dire need is very strange indeed.

I'm not a kingaling you dingaling and neither are many who are not blown away with these loans, If he sent up Ferrerya I'd be happy but he didn't. Wait and see how these guys play before getting too excited. I seem to agree with half of what you say in most of your posts btw just could'nt pass up the kingaling dingaling opportunity :P

  8. As others have noted, Michael Ashley *is*, in fact, "communicating" with the fans.

You just have to be attentive to note what he is "saying".

The more research I do on the 5 players he has sent, the more confident I am that promotion can be secured.

I have went from quietely confident to now doubting if these players will be enough after doing a bit of research. Hope You're right.

  9. Its not Mike Ashleys fault that the club has been forced to depend on his loans. Its the boycotters. Like MA or not, we'd be sunk without him.

Dont agree with that Willis, if Ashley was not involved someone else would have control of the club by now,he's just too powerful to budge and I'm not a fan of any faction, the American guy would have done me.

  10. I've been on to a few people regarding Streete all of which are Port Vale fans. All a bit vague really.

He was on loan but only played two games and then was recalled. Played ok but hard to say from two appearances. I know that Port Vale attempted to take him on a loan again but failed, perhaps due to him coming to the Gers?

He has been in the squad for a few league games at Newcastle but not featured.

Does this warrant walking into the side?

I've seen Ferguson play and was ok, just a bit lightweight.

Vuckic I've heard is good from another mate who seen him play for Rotheram

    The rest?????

Had a look on the Rotherham forum and put his name in their search box virtually no discussion on him at all apart from a thread about how the manager thinks he will be a good addition.

  11. Two out of the five will go straight into the team - Vuckic and Streete. The others will probably be in and around the side at some point this season..."

    Eh, what's the point then?

That is a bit of blow to be honest. Bernard basically thinks 2 players will guarantee promotion. Does he know how bad we are?

  12. I think they will improve the team and help to ensure promotion. 'Spectacularly wrong' would be if they unsettle the team, turn out to be pretty poor - it actually IS possible that they are worse than we have, and our form gets worse. We fail to get promotion.

You're right to be cautious BB but I wiil be shocked if they are any worse. They all need to make an impression up here if they have any ambition to play in the premiership and going on bits and pieces on youtube the midfielders can all score from set pieces which is encouraging.

  13. Yes. No.

We need them, but we cannot afford them.

Money would be better spent on a new manager who could get the best from this group of players (who if showed the form they did previous to coming to the club would stroll this league).

I understand your thinking but I'm afraid we were fooled(me to) into believing we had decent players. The manager was under pressure from day1 because of our poor play most thought he was picking the wrong team or using the wrong tactics but the bleeding obvious was staring us in the face THE PLAYERS ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH .Even bad teams can up their game now and then and we are still in the SC but this division has magnified the players lack of ability.
