    You can't use inflation as a relative measure in football. Transfer fees and salaries have risen much faster in the past 20 years.

    Leaving us 4 points clear with a mostly fit squad, and plenty of the season to play for. Other than at the end of the season it's about as good it gets. Any new manager coming in should be happy with what he's getting.

    De Boer has been sacked by inter and palace after less than 3 months at both, and went on to manage Atlanta United. I doubt his CV is at any risk managing us.
