It needs to be 3 or more players to be considered. The only two teams ever likely to be impacted are us and them. As I said it wasn't uncommon back in the 90s, but now there is an international calendar the chances of it ever being an issue are slim.

That's pathetic reasoning. League/cup games are never scheduled during calendar breaks. Requests used to be fairly common about 20 years ago before the international calendar was a thing.
