  1. So it's okay to boo a national anthem but it's not okay to say fuck terrorists. Interesting.
  2. I prefer to write it as 'Derry when referencing the song.
  3. I'm from Michigan and I've been to Michigan Stadium dozens of times. Michigan football is the only team that mean as much as Rangers to me. And you're right, next to the NFL, college football is the second biggest sport in the country and the biggest in the south. Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Texas A&M, USC and UCLA all have larger stadia than anything you'll find in the NFL.
  4. He's going to be great for years, especially if he ever gets a quarterback. One of the best I've ever seen at the college level.
  5. I definitely feel for Mike Smith, their coach. He seems like a good guy and I know he's a good coach, but they're having a rough season. Also, wearing the poppy today was nice gesture.
  6. I've never seen a delay a game benefit the offending team. Ridiculous! And I'll take it. 6-2 baby!
  7. We're in some big trouble here. That number 1 rating for the defense is a bit misleading too. We've been running the ball more this year, using the clock and keeping the D off the field, which helps their stats. We have a very good D-line, decent linebackers and a pretty awful secondary.
  8. Strange feeling watching a game at 9:30 over here, must be what it's like to live on the west coast! Go Lions!
  9. I think you guys are on to something about Americans and our affinity for stats in sports. I think the reasons are two fold: 1. Baseball was the first sports phenomena in this country, and as you said in a previous post, it is insanely statistical. I think we took that way of thinking and incorporated it in with our other games. Everyone knows the benchmark numbers: 1000 yards rushing, 3000 yards passing = good seasons in football. 100 yards rushing and 300 yards passing = a great game. Basketball is the same: 20 points or 10 rebounds or 10 assists would all constitute a good game. 2. Fantasy football. It has even changed the way I view the game and I've been an avid fan since I was 6. It's really sick. I'll be watching a game with my dad, it'll be a team I've hated my whole life like the Packers, and Jordy Nelson scores a touchdown and I'll say "yes!" And my dad will just look at me, like "WTF?" And I'll be like "I got him on two of my fantasy teams" and he'll shake his head in disgust. You know how during NFL games Fox or CBS will scroll all of the statistical leaders from that days games on the bottom of the screen? 7 or 8 years ago it wasn't like that, it was just scores.
  10. Think you have to wait until the end if the season when you get your prize money.
  11. I can't quite remember, as I haven't played in months, but it is definitely in the career mode set up. There should be an option to "swap teams".
  12. You can edit the teams and put Rangers in the SPFL. You can also put them in England if that's your fancy
  13. Yep, Seahawks look great again and if they can get homefield advantage for the playoffs, no one will stand a chance. I didn't realize the Packers had so many injury problems on the O-line, but as a Lions fan, I can't say I'm too broken up about it!
  14. Cobb with the TD! Have him on one of my fantasy teams. I wouldn't worry too much about Green Bay's offense, Seattle is the toughest place to play and they have the best defense in the league. Bad combo.
