  1. "This 143-year old institution is on the way back. At the helm we now have good, solid Rangers men with the club's best interests at heart and I am thrilled to assist their rebuilding work." When i read this today my first thought was a multitude of obsessed nutjobs rushing to comment sections, phone in's and FB pages spluttering the likes of " you said they were p'yoor deed n that". When actually Richard fully explained his comments afterwards and in no way did he imply Rangers were "dead",and he's not the only one to make such comments which obviously be jumped upon by the loonies as some kind of "proof" when anyone with half a brain knows what they are saying. Walter and Donald spring to mind. As for his appointment, can't for the life of me understand why some fans would have a prob with this, the man is a club legend who literally sweated blood for the club, and it's not as if we are the only club to do this. Some Gers fans seem to want to just Victor Meldrew at anything these days.
  2. Remember reading this on a forum some time ago which sums it up in a nutshell tbh..but I'm afraid we can never expect Durrant to understand this..Dave King is a different matter. "If newco hadn't purchased the Rangers Football Club, from the Administrators, the creditors would be all over newco and the directors personally, for operating a club with a prohibited name. A prohibited name also includes the trading name. For example, Dundee Football Club LTD owns and operates a club that trades as Dundee Football Club. Likewise, The Rangers Football Club LTD (a subsidiary of The Rangers International Football Club) owns and operates a club that trades as Rangers Football Club. This would be a criminal and civil offense if they hadn't purchased the club from the Administrators. This even applies to any name that is too similar, as to give the impression that they are the same business/club. Never mind, trading with the EXACT name. Further to that, newco stated, openly, that they operate the same club, once operated by oldco. They have done so, repeatedly. They have informed the London Stock Exchange and sold shares to shareholders based on this submission. They have registered the same information at Companies House. The number of offenses would be numerous indeed, and they would be joined in the dock by the Insolvency Practitioners who also stated, openly, that they sold Rangers Football Club to newco. There is no legal challenge to newco. None, at all. The simple reason, for that, is that newco DID buy Rangers Football Club, from the Administrators. The sale took place under the 'Insolvency Act'. Under the act the Administrators have the power to either sell the business as a whole or ANY PART, as well as the assets of the business. There is no prohibiting regulation in the ACT that prevented the Administrators from acting as they did. Their powers are enormous under the ACT. They can dispose of the business in any way that THEY, the Administrators deem fit. Many people think that Administrators have too much power, under the Insolvency Act, but that is neither here nor there. They had the power to do whatever they deemed fit, under the ACT, and they sold Rangers Football Club to newco. When a business becomes insolvent, it is the Insolvency Act that regulates it's future. All else is meaningless. You might not like it, but that's how it is. This is a petition for judicial review by the Rangers Football Club plc, a company presently inadministration. Lord Glennie (talking about Rangers Football Club PLC) That company presently operates Rangers Football Club (to whom I shall refer as "Rangers"). Lord Nimmo Smith and Charles Flint QC. They found that while oldco was responsible for the debts incurred while they operated Rangers Football Club, the 'sanctions' imposed by football authorities followed the club when ownership was changed to newco. As Rangers were the same club, the 'sanctions' remained in place. “It is the club, not the owner, who plays in the league,” he said. “The rules clearly contemplate sanctions upon a club, in distinction to upon the owner or operator. That power must continue to apply, even if the owner at the time of [any] breach of rules hasceased to be a member of the SPL and its undertaking has passed to another owner or operator.” Lord Nimmo Smith and Charles Flint QC (on the legality of the sale of the club). "A Club is treated as a recognisable entity which is capable of being owned and operated, and which continues in existence despite its transfer to another owner and operator." "In legal terms, it appears to us to be no different from any otherundertaking which is capable of being carried on, bought and sold." All parties who have any legal involvement with newco and Rangers Football Club have no problem accepting that Rangers are the same club as that operated by oldco. If this was not so, Companies House, the LSE and BDO would make more charges, than a bull at a gate. Rather than listen to the terracing lawyers, or anyone who 'feels' it isn't the same club, it's best to leave it to the experts on Insolvency Law, I think. Perhaps the words of Celtic's largest shareholder, a man who might know a thing or two about business and the law, might help in this matter. Dermott Desmond:- “Rangers is a fantastic club with a great history,” he said. “With the support that they have, they will come back." “They will, in not too long a time, be back in the SPL. I have no doubt about that.” “They’re needed for Scottish football because of their following and the size of the club and especially their history.” "
  3. The last few days must have felt like a lottery win for the daily jacobite. STV carried the same story but worded differently. "Ian Durrant says he is fully supportive of Dave King’s plans to revive Rangers oldco but claims the club’s history isn’t broken. The Ibrox youth coach was responding after Rangers chairman King revealed plans that involve “taking Oldco out of liquidation and putting assets back into Oldco”. South African-based businessman King said he felt that supporters would like it and it would stop taunts from opposing supporters about the club’s history ending with administration and the subsequent appointment of liquidators in 2012. Though King did not provide detail of his proposal, the viability of his plan has been questioned by legal experts. Durrant said that, as far as he was concerned, there was no question Rangers is the same club it had always been. "It will always be the same club," he said. "It’s Rangers Football Club. "Nothing was taken away from the club, they still maintained their same standards. "I think there’s a lot of mischievous things that go on but nothing in my eyes has changed. It’s still Glasgow Rangers." Despite his view, Durrant remained supportive of King’s plans. "I think there’s a lot of history," he said. "I think Mr King believes in what happened previously in the club, the history of the club and I think he wants to preserve that. "If it makes the club go forward we’re all for it. "But I think Mr King had lots of memories and I’m sure he’ll try to revive some of the things that happened." The problem here is Durrant is thick. The jacobite was always going to twist it because Durrant made it easy to do so. If Durrant had said "Rangers is the same club because every football authority says we are, every other body worth anything such as the ASA says we are,BDO said we are and the LAW says we are there is nothing the Jacbite star could have said. Instead he went down one of my pet hate roads eg. the we are still Rangers because we play in blue at Ibrox . Not because the SPFL,SFA,UEFA,FIFA,ASA,LNS,LG,ECA,BDO even ffs the Wee Red Book says we are. Can'y believe the ammo first King and noa Durrant have given the mhanks and the myriad other haters the last few days, and at a time when not only are we on the up and finally talking about football again but also iv'e noticed almost 99.9999% of media outlets and tabloids now report on us as exactly the same club without question. Which we of course are. And as for someone within Ibrox taking them aside and having a word the damage is done and both these sorry for saying it but idiots recent comments will now be used ad nauseum by the haters, who are not just pacific shelfers. What I'd like from my club is an official statement, from both the SFA and UEFA,that we are indeed the same club then tell both Durrant and King to THINK before opening their gubs. FFS it was only recently we had the Chief Executive of the SPFL,FIFA and UEFA by updating their website unequivocally confirming it! Which of course is well known by those at the Daily Jacobite...but handily forgotten. And our board had the audacity to thank the rag for its "courageous journalism"...Jesus wept.
  4. "JOHN HARTSON was left devastated last night after what he believed to be a dream move to Rangers fell through on medical grounds. The Wimbledon striker was so upset at the collapse of his £5.5 million transfer to the Glasgow club that he withdrew from the Wales squad who flew to Belarus for tomorrow's World Cup tie." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/championship/4770308/Round-up-Rangers-pull-out-of-Hartson-deal.html I actually remember Hartson saying at the time something along the lines of "I'm coming to Rangers because there's nowhere bigger". Obviously the grudge gets bigger with each passing year. And why he gets paid to write this drivel beggars belief.
  5. To be fair, you can't expect a Sontaran to know much about football.
  6. Well cut off ma' legs n' call me shorty.....
  7. Was this not Bill Miller's plan? Use an "incubator company" until the oldco was "cleansed" then return the club to the company? Regardless, imo if this is King's plan he should have said nothing about it until it was on the verge of actually happening. Every football authority and every other body of note has confirmed what we all know i.e. Rangers FC was an asset of the oldco and was sold as such (which has happened at numerous other clubs as it happens) and the club itself continues with history intact,so i see no need for Dave King to bring up this well worn and tired "oldco/newco" stuff again. Not one of his better moves. Rangers FC is finally on the up and we're all concentrating at last on the fitbaw and Mr King dredges this guff up again.
  8. Celtic are a joke club. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMesvxL5XrA
  9. This is like asking Susan Boyle or Brenda Lynn.
  10. Been far to much positive stuff coming out about our manager so I fully expected this. Although tbh it's a pretty pathetic effort at a negative story coming from some no mark player...and ironic given the result they had last night.
  11. Stopped listening to Radio Jacobite eons ago. Pity because I used to enjoy the various football phone in's,would even listen to one such as Clyde while recording another such as Real Radio to listen to later. But after our troubles started it just wasn't worth the blood pressure problems with every obsessed Pacific Shelf fan given free air time to spout any nonsense he/she chose about our club, some of which thinking back on a few calls that stick in my mind were totally unbelievable. And the lack of defence from so called Rangers pundits I remember also left a sour taste in my mouth,i can only really remember Daryll King defending us and stating facts tbh. No..better to leave our rancid wee air waves to others who want to talk drivel about a club they either refuse to acknowledge exists (I know, truly weird) or who's bitterness makes very uncomfortable listening.

  13. "until this issue is resolved". Well it's easily resolved...start reporting truthfully about Rangers and treat the said Rangers as you do every other club. There you go. Resolved.
  14. Understand and agree completely mate, however iv'e seen the St Johnstone "point" so many times that I don't think it hurts to kill off that wee fantasy. And like I said,i do enjoy their pain
  15. Have not paid the sham license for around 3 years,Sky don't come to my house and say "that's 38 quid a month please".."But i don't watch Sky"...tough titties that's 38 quid a month please".....so why should the Corrupt Broadcasting Company. Only thing i admit to having to do with the BBC is listening to the Archers on Radio 4.
  16. Apologies if this thread annoys some of my fellow bluenoses,as of course we all know the UEFA stance on our club, however one of the persistant comfort blankets I see used by the trash is the old "bit UEFA last match St Johnstone n that pyoor deed n that". (We know that UEFA don't report on lower league matches but it was a crumb they loved hanging grimly on to). Well that comfort blanket has been ripped asunder. Last match Sun 08 Feb 2015 v Raith Rovers. Again apologies if this bores some folk on here but I'm one of those twisted individuals who love causing the soap avoiders sleepless nights and much heartache by destroying the wee fantasy world they inhabit. http://www.uefa.com/teamsandplayers/teams/club=50121/domestic/
  17. "Rangers deserve to be in the Premiership and it would be great for Scottish football to have them back in the top league." "Obviously they went bust, they had to start all over again in the Third Division. For my own career, I had to move on." BACK in the top league?? He is one confused little traitor no mark. I'd also question why anyone would post this nonentities ramblings the day of our biggest game in three years.
  18. "Steven Naismith and Steven Whittaker have lodged objections to their transfer from the old Rangers Football Club to the newco. The Scotland internationals now claim to be free agents, having issued statements through their lawyers. But the Charles Green consortium that bought Rangers' assets say they will take legal action to block the moves. Green said his company would "seek damages for breach of contract and for inducement to break contracts". The announcement from Naismith and Whittaker came after Sone Aluko and Rhys McCabe said they too were choosing not to switch to the new company. "It has been an extremely difficult decision to make but I believe it is the right decision," said forward Naismith. "As players we collectively saw this as the only way to get Rangers Football Club out of administration by way of a CVA [company voluntary arrangement] and thereby protect the staff jobs and the history of the club and give the creditors who had also entered into contracts with Rangers in good faith the best chance of being paid. "Both Steven and I and our agent fought hard with administrators during negotiations to insert clauses that offered protection to staff and players at the club. "I am extremely proud of the actions we took but I am disappointed and angry that Rangers Football Club no longer exists in its original form." The versatile Whittaker, who signedsigned a five-year contract at Ibrox last July , told reporters: "From a football point of view, I think it's best to continue my career elsewhere. "I'm 28 and I want to play at the top level for as much as I can. It doesn't look like Rangers will be in the SPL and there's no European football. "We owe no loyalty to the new club. There is no history there for us." Naismith, 25, who suffered two long injury lay-offs during his time at Ibrox, echoed those sentiments, saying: "I'd like to think I've given my all for Rangers. "My loyalty is with Rangers, not with Sevco [Green's company name], who I don't know anything about. "There is too much uncertainty over what division the new company are going to be playing in at this stage of my career. I'm an ambitious footballer." Naismith and that other traitor should never be welcomed back to Rangers. That press conference,at a time the entire Rangers support was hurting badly, was and is unforgiveable. Besides being as has subsequently been shown sheer nonsense.
  19. Jackson allowing the new club line to be put fwd again, knowing himself that it is nonsense,(15.00) then actually calling us a new club himself (22.30) this after being well aware of the position of the SPFL and the various other bodies. It honestly turns my stomach that our new board not only lifted this rags ban but actually praised it. http://www.<No links to this website>/sport/football/football-news/video-keith-jackson-financial-wrecking-5363311
