  1. No, did you pull that cracker out of Warburton's Magic Hat?
  2. He's brilliant, he reminds me of a young Ian Black running about the park .. just kidding lol but Halliday is definitely a great player for us and one who i'm sure will be here for at least a few years to come, and plus he can even hit a shot on target from outside the box unlike Ian Black lol
  3. haha nah mate, its a bit stale if everyone posts in black all the time, and to be honest i would judge players on the similar technical and footballing attributes they have such as passing etc before i would judge them on their height and weight, going by the logic of the statement you just made, that could mean that you couldn't even compare a player to Christiano Ronaldo even if they played like him just because they're not as fast as Christiano Ronaldo (just using Ronaldo as an example of a player) thats nonsense really because people always say someone is like the next messi etc even if theyre not as fast as Messi In essence, when I said he is like the Scottish version of Thiago that allows for him to be slower and not as tall etc. as clearly Scottish Players aren't as good as World Class Superstars when you compare them overall
  4. To be honest, I imagine Jason Holt as like a Scottish version of the Bayern Munich Spanish Central Midfielder Thiago who is great technically and a ball player with good creativity and also a great all round general CM although Thiago is a bit faster and taller and stronger than Holt but I think they are similar in their attributes and the way they contribute to the teams. This might be a bit more far fetched but I imagine Martyn Waghorn as like an English Rangers version of Thomas Muller, with the way he doesn't really have a fixed position on what he is better at between Centre Forward and Right Winger and he is a great runner with stamina who closes down from the front and he is good at penalties and shooting with good all round general hold and link up play like Muller and both aren't the greatest at headers although Muller is more skinny and faster with more running stamina probably while Waghorn is a lot stronger and a tank with maybe a bit better hold up play because of that (I made this same post in the Brazil thread but thought it would fit in in this thread too)

  6. Well I believe he was making that statement in the sense that if he just essentially picked a full first team straight out of our u21 starting 11 that they wouldn't have won the league , Ally clearly rated telfer but he thought that he needed more physicality but he said he was ready to start making him a starter, I think that if he thought they were all good enough he would have promoted them like he did with MacLeod and aird and Barry McKay in the third division
  7. I think we have done really well to sign him especially for £200k, he's one of the best centre backs currently in Scotland without a doubt, I'm sure Celtic would have or should have signed him for that price if they knew he was available, other teams like Aberdeen etc. would have been unable to even sign him due to their club and financial status probably because he was going to sign for Middlesbrough(correct team?) and already did a medical with them before Mark Warburton signed him for us or if a team like Aberdeen signed him he would be their best defender. He said in one of his first interviews that when Mark called him he said "I want to come and play for you Mark" as they already know each other from being at the same club previously so that statement shows his commitment.
  8. true, Hamie, on 28 Aug 2015 - 10:17 PM, said: To be honest I don't remember ever reading that statement anywhere, especially the second line, I really doubt that this was said by anyone involved with Rangers at the time because although Ally said that we gave respect to the opposition he didn't say the quote above i'm sure
  9. When they asked him about would he like to do what Jason Denayer has done to do well at their loan club and go back to play at Arsenal at the end of his loan it was good the way he quickly slightly dismissed that stupid question by saying that's the goal of every loan player to do well at their loan club, that isn't the exact wording butits one of the last stale questions asked in the interview
  10. If there is no evidence all it can lead to is speculation ..
  11. To be honest I don't think he done bad at the skill at all he done really well and it looked like he nearly got a penalty from it when he nearly got on the ball on the box after flicking it over his head, the referee awarded an Alloa freekick but it looked to me like it could have easily gone the other way with a penalty awarded. The skill move was fantastic and how can you "make sure that it's going to come off before you try it" - Well Done Oduwa!! Very exciting and i'm sure he will be a pleasure to watch and he clearly brings another dimension to our squad. If I was an Alloa player and we subbed on him for example and Shiels and Clark I would be very scared with the way Oduwa started to run at them doing blistering skills while their team must have been tired too.
  12. Well that's the difference between a £200k signing from Mark Warburton from the English lower leagues compared to a free transfer from Ally McCoist from the Scottish leagues. Tavernier is top class and we'll be lucky to have him bombing down that wing for years to come I think Tavernier and Wallace are the best fullback combination in Scottish football but we'll just need to wait until next season to see If Tavernier is ever to leave Ibrox I fully believe that it won't be for anything less than £1,000,000 at the very least and this is a great signing from Warburton just like every other signing he has made so far.
