Agree with all your points, but enlarging the squad will probably be kept to a bare minimum....perhaps one or two players added to the overall squad size. MW doesn't want players to be training hard all week with little chance of game time....creates disharmony and affects moral in these players! Joined up thinking from our Mark imo ?.

MW will not "change it up occasionally"....that is his whole point....there is No 'plan b'....doesn't exist!

Frustrating as hell sometimes mate, when we're screaming for cross balls into the box so we can see one of our big defenders or a bustling, old fashioned striker like Waghorn ram the ball home with a classic headed goal....or even a scrambled, lucky second ball going in by feeding off scraps left by an opposition defender's mistake....seems like the simple and obvious way to go and we know how effective it can be, BUT....expect more of the same for as long as MW is here because no way, no how, will he EVER change it! That would mean abandoning his footballing philosophy....not going to happen! I think it's wonderful, if a little frustrating at times!

This season has been nothing short of fantastic! We've won the Championship, we're in the SC Final, and we could yet secure a place in Europe! The Club has been transformed from top to bottom and the team are playing a style of football that has restored our pride and passion where, previously, there was only desolation and despair! However, although that's all true, it's too simplistic just to leave it at that and be satisfied with these facts! Sure, we've dominated possession in almost every game we've played this season, we've scored 26 more goals than the next highest 'goals for' total in the league. Our style of play has been breathtaking at times and we've ran some teams ragged in a significant number of games....none more so, and more heartening, than against dundee and against celtic! That's what we expect from a Rangers team....that's the sort of stats and style we expect will see us challenging strongly for the premiership next season and, who knows, maybe even winning it (with some smart additions and obvious removals)!! Then there's the fact that we've lost, to date, one more game than falkirk and we've conceded only two less goals than falkirk and hibs in the league! Our inability to defend and break teams down at times has been really concerning and downright fucking infuriating this season!! Although, admittedly, we've still dominated possession and played some really good football, we've STILL contrived to fuck up big time in too many games throughout....this is Championship material!! There's the rub, how can we play with such frightening flair in games against the, so called, best teams in the country and then be so fucking clumsy and cumbersome against teams at, even, the very lowest reaches of our league? Doesn't make sense....it's schizophrenic....split personality material!! We're all crying out for changes to our style, formation and tactics! We're demanding changes to personnel in defence, looking for a confirmed and experienced cdm to be signed pronto and asking for corner takers and wingers to play cross balls into the mix in the box now and again!! Of course we need changes, of course we need to strengthen in certain areas, MW has said as much, and it will be done close season, BUT....he has also made it abundantly clear....there is no 'plan b'....we simply learn to do 'plan a' better!! Have you noticed he refuses to allow the keeper to punt the ball up the park....why risk losing the ball? Refuses to allow (in the main) cross balls from the wings or from corners....why risk losing the ball against brick shitehoose defenders? That's his philosophy and the man ain't for turning!! He won't budge because, if he does, how can the players have faith in his methods....he's GOT to believe his way is the right way and stick to it, lest the players lose trust in the carefully thought out system!! Everything is meticulously planned out and executed in terms of preparation, fitness, tactics etc etc and only time will tell if he's on the money with it....I definitely think he will be and even better and more exciting times are on the horizon!! This is a one season old team full of young, inexperienced players and that's the very reason for the erratic performances and inexplicable scorelines....MW understands this more than anyone and, by sticking to his guns, he'll mould this team into winners!! The scatty performances will get less and less and our ability to unlock, even the most stuffy defences, will improve!! IMHO, this will be achieved because he's a stubborn git....more power to your elbow Mr Warburton!! WATP
