  1. Obviously you have a strange fetish for sticking things in your eyes, Why read them if you don't like them, Please feel free to use the ignore function,That blocks any posts i write and you won't need to stick anything in your eyes again. You take care sweetcheeks. xx
  2. Silly me he was What's dodgy about the clip ? I've also had a look at all the other clips and stuff about him and he's pish, I really don't have to jump on a plane and go and watch him. If you can't tell the difference between a good player and a shite player watching numerous different video's of the player then your'e the one who hasn't got a clue. We need quality to play in the team, If he was quality he wouldn't be playing where he is and his country wouldn't have dropped him like they have.
  3. Of course it would be better if the club ran it and all the income went back to the club, But my take on it is i have no input as to what happens to it,But in my opinion i'm neither here or there who runs it as long as someone does something with it as it's an absolute eyesore and as it stands even empty,It's costing the club thousands per year in rates. I already gave an example of why the wee Rangers club is only open at the weekend and EH would have to be something very special to open everynight,Because it's owned by Rangers and next to Ibrox stadium doesn't mean it will be full everynight. Most pubs in the area during the week have a handful of people in them, The Louden doesn't open midweek unless there is a game and it's only open on the matchday,Simply because there is no demand for it outwith this. Whoever decides what's to be done with it will have to get it spot on or it could end up a very expensive flop. It would easily cost a couple of million to get it to a decent standard, But personally i would rather see that money being spent on the stadium, Lease EH to someone who will do all the work and EH will still belong to the club and all the work would be done maybe. Otherwise just sell it, The club saves thousands on rates and invest the proceeds back into the stadium. There are no easy answers other than throwing millions at it and hoping for the best or just get rid of it and lose one of our assets.
  4. What is the problem with asbestos ? Have you been inside EH. You couldn't also just flatten it,Any asbestos would still have to be removed before it was demolished. So you would then have the removal of asbestos costs, costs of demolition and costs to build a new building Asbestos is only dangerous if it's disturbed and airborn,I'm pretty sure there isn't swirling clouds of asbestos floating around EH, It can be found in a number of things from wall panels, floor tiles, fireproofing and insulation, If it was built in the 60's there's a high probability there will be quite a lot of it, But again unless someone has went inside and battered everything with a sledgehammer and ripped everything apart, Then it will be quite safe. To give you an example, Ibrox primary across from the stadium is riddled with it and marked with little yellow markers to warn people not to touch it and they haven't closed the school, Most high rise blocks of houses in Glasgow either still standing or been demolished are and were full of asbestos,Most houses in Glasgow built in the 60's will still contain asbestos, It was mainly used for it's insulation and fireproof property's,Most older houses plaster walls are full of asbestos. Downside is it's very expensive to remove due to the dangers and cost of disposing of it, If you've ever seen an old concrete garage at the back of someones house, There is a very high probability that the roof will be asbestos sheeting. If it's not disturbed it's fine, But If it needs removed it's costly, The unwashed would have you believe Ibrox is the only building in the world that has it, But strangely ignore that their own main stand will have just as much as Ibrox has due to it's age.
  5. Did the punters pay to transform the Stadium bar into the Louden ? Don't think it matters what company they keep,His pub is full to capacity every home game,Then again maybe it's full of Rangers supporters that don't use the internet or just people that like the Marshalls and the company they keep, Perhaps it's just full because it's a great Rangers pub, Something regardless your dislike of them this is something you can't deny. Why also do you assume i speak to Houston ? I would need to know him otherwise it would be pretty silly walking up to him saying a guy from Rangers media was asking for you and Houston asking who i was..No Why also are you bringing your hatred for people into a perfectly good thread when most people are simply debating ideas and what's best for it.
  6. Forums only speak for a small percentage of our support, Vast majority of our support don't use forums, Pretty sure if it was done properly it would be full on every match day. I don't think the Marshalls will lose sleep over a few people on the internet having a dislike for them and even if they had a part to play in EH,Based on the transformation from the stadium bar to what it is now, They don't do things on the cheap, None of them have done any harm to me and the Louden is a superb Rangers pub/bar and can only imagine if they had any part in EH it would be the same quality and high standard.
  7. It's a situation where nobody knows what would happen until we made our minds up what the club decided to do with it. Demand is the most important word,The huge costs of refurbishing it,running costs and other overheads without knowing how successful it would be on a regular basis is key to it getting off the ground. It could be a huge success or a major drain on the club and we don't have cash to throw away. At present there isn't a waiting list or huge demand for tours of Ibrox, There are loads of pubs in the area and hotels along with leisure facility's and places to eat, They would all be the competition and we would have to offer something to entice people to come and use our facility's, One way would be to combine all the local facility's into one building under the one roof. It also has to be something that everyone would use and not just football fans, The flip side also is that there would be people who would refuse to use it simply because it's owned by Rangers. You only have to look at the wee Rangers club that sits closed and only opens at weekends due to nothing more than lack of demand midweek. EH doesn't also have to be fully refurbished all in the one go, There are several floors and it's a huge building inside,One floor at a time could be refurbed and if demand outstripped that,Then refurb the floor above and so on. Going back a far few years when it was the Rangers supporters club, At weekends it was very busy but midweek it was empty, On non match days the Ibrox area is like a ghost town and most of the area is run down. I would transfer all our day to day business from Argyle house and superstore to a refurbed EH,Move our ticket office into the superstore,One of the upper floors could easily house a lot of the historical items we have in storage along with a nice smallish cafeteria and if i had my own way and the cash, A new museum would contain a copy of every cup we have ever won which would be a sight to behold. One of the other upper floors could be refurbed to a nice level and made into a conference suite which could also be hired out, It could also be used to house all the dinner dances the supporters clubs have every year, All the awards night and all the Rangers charity nights/dinners/dances.. That means every penny earned goes to the club and the fans happy that their well earned is helping the club rather than give it elsewhere. Both you and me know there are plenty of ideas and some very decent ones for EH, But someone has to make the move and do something with it, Whether that's the Marshalls or the club it makes no difference, The most important thing is doing something with it and doing it right and being a success.
  8. There is a carpark both front and back at EH that doesn't get used and given the problems in the local area with parking the club don't use this to their advantage and earn money for it which seems bizarre. The problem with refurbishing EH or knocking it down and rebuilding is nothing more than cost, It would also have to be profitable which wouldn't happen open only once a fortnight.
  9. The money isn't there to refurbish it and the longer it sits the more money it will cost to refurbish it. Even though it sits empty we will still be paying council rates for it at a slightly discounted level,But would imagine it would run into thousands per year. It either needs to be sold or used,It's been empty for years now and becoming an eyesore, Your perhaps looking at the best part of a couple of million or more to refurbish it dependent on what you want to do with it or how fancy you want to make it. It will still be sitting empty in the months to come as the clubs next task is repairing some of the roofs which will begin in the summer and contracts have been signed,Apparently the plastic sheeting which covers the ends of the Copland and Broomloan stands is also being replaced with new stuff,Which is long overdue. Know a couple of other things but can't post on here about it.
  10. Bookmark my post. " The Ghanian, who is out of contract at Al-Qadsia at the end of June" He wont cost us a penny and our manager rates him and if he thinks this guy is the solution to our defensive problems.. Our manager sadly doesn't have a clue. If this guy was Ghana's player of the year they must be a very poor football nation, Most of his achievements happened way back in 2011 and he's done nothing of note since then. If our manager thinks this guy will improve our team then the manager is indeed mental.
  11. Don't think it means it's subject to getting a grant, Pretty sure it means they will grant the application for planning if the conditions of the planning application are followed and agreed.
  12. If by investment you mean transfer budget, Why would the club come out and announce what we had to spend,Every player we were interested in the price would increase as soon as they knew our budget. Don't you worry about season ticket renewals,We don't have part time fans,Our supporters are the most loyal to their club in Scottish football,The last 5 years proves that beyond a doubt.
  13. Pedro Mendes is the managers good friend and agent, Pedro Mendes will get a percentage of any deals for players on his books that come to Rangers.. These won't be good quality players because if they were they would be off to England or abroad,What we could end up with are no more than journeyman players who will be no more than average players. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the manager and Mendes have already discussed this.Which is like asking if he has any decent players rather than target his own. He has no knowledge of British players apart from the the well known ones who play for all the big clubs and i think it would be a huge mistake to start bringing in Mexican and middle east players as they wouldn't like our climate nor the speed at which the game is played here. Sell Waghorn and use the money to buy Cummings from Hibs, Cummings is a far better player and would improve us in an instant and score goals. It's also a cert this guy is coming in the summer. Don't know anyone else's thought's but judging merely on the above he isn't any better than what we have and i think he looks absolutely shite.
  14. This is the sort of thing we should have,Very expensive and they claim one session is like a weeks passing training and improves the player.
  15. Given they are in 6 days a week shouldn't they be even fitter ? I've noticed in the last two games against Motherwell and Kilmarnock the players looked quite lerthargic and not anywhere near the same pace and speed of previous games. I would also imagine that any intense training wouldn't be based on a full 90mins going at it hammer and tongs,So in effect when applying this to a normal match some players might be found lacking in fitness and speed over the entire 90mins rather than the short bursts in training. There are people who train for marathons and run for 26 miles to pace themselves for the actual race, You can't run say 3 or 4 miles and then expect to complete a full 26 mile run and win it unless your putting in the roadwork. I still think our training methods are still pretty poor and a lot more could be done in regards to ball control, passing and shooting along with the set pieces, Beckham used to stay behind for hours at training to practice his free kicks and set pieces and he was one of the best at them, Simply because he was dedicated to improving his game. I can't understand how our own players knowing their weaknesses don't stay behind at training and practice to make them better, Waghorn for instance has posted on his twitter a few times that he goes for specialist training with his shooting and no doubt he's paying for it, He's been doing it for months and still hasn't got any better.. Why not stay behind and practice with the coaches and save his money and time. Some of the best strikers in the world didn't become so because they had good coaches, They were the best because they had natural ability,Waghorn at his age isn't going to raise his game by paying some guy a few bob for firing a few balls in to a net,The level he's at is the best he can hope for unless he does what Beckham did, But Beckham was of a much higher standard than Waghorn and a different type of player,Simply through hard work, dedication,Winning mentality and a naturally gifted player. In training i just don't get the running in and out of poles or doing rabbit jumps over little hoops in the ground,We've been doing this same shite for decades now and should be moving away from all that.
  16. Hopefully Warburton might take him to Forrest along with a few others. Totally overhyped player.
  17. Done it in 1964 Scottish cup semi final played at Ibrox, They had just qualified midweek for the cup winners semi final and Rangers applauded them onto the field, Sure Rangers won 2-0. Those times were completely different from today, Those were times players from each club ran around together and had respect for each other and each club had respect for each other also, Totally different era we now live in. I can't ever recall the same applause from the unwashed when Rangers won a league title or qualified for a Euro semi final or final. Not a fan of all the applause stuff especially when now it's expected of every team after a team wins the league,I'll be absolutely gobsmacked if Rangers do it at Ibrox.
  18. Not losing to Hamilton,Motherwell or Kilmarnock isn't really anything to brag about. We had a two week international break and seems like we forgot how to play football,Despite what the manager said about having more time to try things. Our passing at times is abysmal, shooting absolutely rank, set pieces absolutely terrible and put this into perspective,Against Motherwell and Kilmarnock we had a combined 33 shots on goal,10 on target and we have scored 1 goal, This is where the problem lies,Our complete inability to put the ball in the net. Graham Murty was doing quite well and should have got the job until the end of the season, I'd also like to know who this list of qualified candidates the club claims to have had applying for the managers job outwith McLeish, I still find it totally bizarre we gave the job to someone no one had ever heard off and had no experience of British football plying his trade in the middle east and Mexico. We also won't win on Sunday against the sheep,More so if St Johnstone win on Saturday and reduce the gap between them and us to 3pts the pressure will ramp up even further,A comfortable gap in front of St Johnstone, We're now 12pts behind the sheep and St Johnstone are breathing down our necks for 3rd place and our football seems to be going backwards,We've won a game against a poor Hamilton team and drawn against teams who are 10th and 7th in the league and dropped 4pts from our last two games. If you awoke from a coma and watched that tonight you would think McCoist was still in charge. Murty should have got the job till season end rather than appoint a manager who is already under pressure. Rangers managers are judged on results and Rangers fans are not very patient and expect to win every game,It's been a piss poor season by Rangers standards and if the results continue then the new managers stay in Scotland could be short lived. A new manager won't lift the club to the levels the supporters expect, The only thing that will is a substantial budget for players of the quality required, If King and his board think spending £5m will lift us to the level of challenging for the title they are all hugely deluded and we may as well turn the lights out and lock the doors. They come up with around £15/20m and get the players we need in and then we can put up a much better fight and challenge, The support won't put up with the same shite next season.
  19. Really don't know what to make of the new manager, Utterly bizarre taking Hyndman off when he was one of the best players on the pitch,Removing Waghorn and replacing him with a midfielder when trying to win the game. Other thing that was strange was having Toral on the bench with no intention of playing him,Why not put one of the youth team players on the bench,Made absolutely no sense. In the last two games this game plan the manager keeps repeating seems to have vanished and like the Motherwell game it was turgid pish of hitting a lot of long balls and totally missing the midfield. Under Murty the team looked more stable and looked like he had installed a bit of fight in the team, There were players tonight that looked like they were going through the motions and just couldn't be arsed. Halliday and Holt in the middle doesn't work. McKay seriously needs to be dropped, He brings absolutely nothing and his corners/free kicks are woeful, Has the heart of a mouse and shits himself from tackling anyone. Bates at the back started quite nervous but once he settled he had a decent game,He'll never be a regular first team starter simply because he's not good enough, Thought the young lad Beerman had a great game against Salmon who is an experienced pro, much stronger and taller and hardly gave him a sniff and got himself forward a few times,Good future if he continues to work hard and improves his game, But Beerman is another who will spend most of his time in the youth teams. In the last couple of games we look as if we have went backwards, Is this the players protesting on the pitch at their new six day week. Summer will be interesting as the whole team needs cleared out and we should be encouraging Warburton to take McKay,Tavernier,Waghorn and Keirnan to Forrest and the money used to bring in a couple of quality players and Mr King and his board can find the other £20m we will need to compete next season. Rangers fans won't except this pish next season nor except playing catch up with the sheep. It also concerns me that in the summer we could see players coming from PC's old teams in Qatar and Mexico and once again spending what little we have on yet more shit players on long term deals and no further forward, There is absolutely no point in signing players who are used to getting time on the ball in these country's and the nice slow build up. We can ill afford to make any mistakes in the summer transfer window and quality players must be brought in,Players who are winners and want to work hard and play for the jersey and win things..Winning mentality. First player i'd be making moves about is Hyndman if the price was within our budget, He'll only get better as time goes on. All in all another shite performance bar a couple of players getting pass marks, I really don't think most of these players get the concept of what it means to pull on that famous blue jersey nor how lucky they are to be playing and training in such wonderful surroundings followed wherever they go by adoring fans, Most of them can't see further than their next monthly wage.
  20. If i had started a thread berating the board or King they would be rubbing their hands and joining in. What other Scottish team would have the ability to get £12m loan players for 18 months,Would Aberdeen or Hearts,Has any other Scottish club ever had a loan player that cost so much and a loan spell that lasted so long. There is a huge conflict of interest here,If Lawwells son and his fathers good friend from Nike who's head of scouting didn't work for Man City are we to believe that the unwashed would still get these players,I'd like those who think it's nothing to be concerned about try and find another club who have gave them multi-million pound players on long loans six months after buying them, How come all the other big EPL teams don't send some of their best talent on loan to the unwashed. Think of another scenario, Say Lawwels son and Lawwels good friend the chief scout and ex Nike executive discover a player who's highly touted as the next Messi/Ronaldo and pay £30m for him, A few months later he's loaned out to the unwashed and his performances and goals get them into the champions league and he runs riot in the Scottish league and plays a big part in the unwashed winning the league, Would people still just shrug their shoulders ? It also makes it easier for Lawwels son and Lawwels head scout friend to convince those much higher up to loan to his fathers club as playing in a league with no competition will make them look even better and make it look as if these players have improved. You only have to look at Van Dyke and Wanyama for example to see how much your profile can raise if you play in a poor league, Do we believe if there was a strong Rangers competing and winning titles these players like Wanyama and Van Dyke would still have went for such high transfer fees. If Lawwels son and his Nike friend were not at Man City.. They wouldn't be getting these loans and the reason why i think it's a conflict of interest and used merely to strengthen their team and to appease their fans and save them spending millions on transfer fees. I also remember a thread on here in relation to Warburtons daughter involved in a company who had a lot of players on their books and people kicking up a stink about it as some of those players were at Rangers and Warburton working hand in hand with his daughter and people were angered by it.. So if they were angered by that then why shrug their shoulders and not care what Lawwel is up to, That's also an advantage.
  21. Not a little bit of a conflict of interests here ? His son Mark has a major say in how Manchester City spend their owners cash, They can afford to buy some of the best young talent for millions,One of these players was Partick Roberts who cost a reputed £12m. I've not known or heard of a player coming to a Scottish club on an 18 month loan and also with such a high transfer value apart from Roberts,Happy to be corrected. In doing his job does Lawwels son also take into consideration how it might also benefit his old man's club by signing these expensive players and loaning them to them for such a long period and giving them decent players with a high value over a long period of time,In affect a £12m player free gratis for 18 months, I also suspect that they would have a lot more of Man City players on loan but would perhaps be a bit to obvious as to what was going on,Hence why they get these players in dribs and drabs. Don't think a lot of people are aware just how much input Lawwels son has on both buying players and loaning them to his fathers club. Roberts,Denayer and Guidetti so far. It's also interesting to note that Man City's head of scouting Fergal Harkins is a very good friend of Peter Lawwels from his days as a Nike executive. This is Man City's policy on loaning out their players. How do they get the right challenge in such a poor league dominated by one team with no competition as it stands just now. It's nothing more than taking players to make them stronger and avoid spending big in the transfer window,Why pay when with a little help from a friend and your own son you can get them for free and not have to spend big in the transfer window.
