  1. Miller up top and Waghorn and McKay out wide, More or less the same set up as against Dundee which was a shambles,Could once again be another long night and we have to come out of the traps fast and score first. Subs for tonight Alnwick Hodson Holt Windass Garner Forrester Dodoo
  2. Tonight's team Foderingham Tavernier Kiernan Wilson Wallace Toral Halliday Waghorn Hyndman McKay Miller Can't believe Halliday still hasn't been dropped,Kiernan brought back in because Hill is still suffering his injury,Good to see Wallace back in.
  3. Few nice HD cameras here https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1ASUC_enGB577GB577&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=hd+video+cameras&tbm=shop Another idea perhaps to maybe help with costs would be a go fund me page to help with the costs of equipment to get you up and running,Pretty sure if you put your ideas across the wider Rangers support online you would also get far more interest,Pending of course all the hurdles and permissions. Think it's a great idea.
  4. Would you not have to also get permission from the SPFL ? What equipment would you use to broadcast the game ? Would need decent bandwidth to get decent quality picture especially if using an HD camera. In theory it sounds like a good idea, But imagine there will be hurdles to cross and quite a bit of expense if done properly. Rangers tv at most times the picture is poor and a lot of buffering and that's a pro set up, Rangers stated at the start of the season that they were working on showing all our games in HD and so far it's pie in the sky over half way through the season. Sounds an interesting idea.
  5. How about at the next meeting they live stream the meeting for all Rangers fans to see rather than those just exclusive to this fans group,Wouldn't that be in the interest of all Rangers fans given they are supposed to be representing Rangers fans. The board promised transparency with the supporters,You can't shun those who chose not to join a fans group,Those who decided not to join doesn't make them non Rangers supporters. Would be quite simple to live feed it.
  6. What exactly has that to do with anything ? You really think it would be different if he lived in Glasgow/Scotland. Perhaps your old enough to remember the Lawrence family In case it escaped you ran the club while living in the USA and that was before the internet and mobile phones.
  7. You saying when the unwashed were knocked out of the Scottish cup people were starting threads about sacking the board ? My point still stands regards the good results including Aberdeen and Hearts, The board sanctioned all of these players and the same ones that played today,We get beaten and it's "sack the board". The problem with our fans is that they are extremely fickle and think the answer to everything is just to sack everyone and throw millions at the team in the hope we can pull the unwashed back. I'd say most Rangers fans get quite pissed off when the team get beat or drop silly points,We fume for a couple of days and then move onto the next game,That's the nature of football and in my eyes it's quite normal and healthy to react in such a way. People keep shouting about sacking the board but not one person can tell us who takes over the club, The problem is that King would have to sell his shares and that isn't going to happen anytime soon. How exactly do you sack a board ?
  8. Just to point something out here,This guy doesn't work for the Sun he's a freelance journalist which means he's been away digging, They also claim to have seen a sworn statement he gave to police,How can they possibly see something that would be used in any evidence, Are they claiming the police are leaking confidential information. I might just send a FOI to Police Scotland and ask how a newspaper claims to have seen official police statements which only the police would have access to.
  9. There is a huge confidence problem and the worrying thing is it's now affecting most of the team and spreading, Normally you would get one or two players off form and suffering low confidence, The problem starts when others in the team seem to start contracting the same low confidence. The whole team look disinterested and even mistakes players make seem to be ignored and shrugged off, Rather than players shouting encouragement or demanding better,The whole team seem to have a couldn't care less attitude at the moment. I'd like to see a bit of anger on the pitch also when players make mistakes,There are players who miss shots or misplace passes quite regular and they just walk away with no emotion, There are players who miss shots and misplace passes and rage at themselves and get angry, That is what our players should be like rather than toddle back up the park shrugging their shoulders. When you lack motivation you get someone in who will try and motivate you and get back that motivation and transfer it to the pitch,If it's just left to stagnate then things will get far worse and this problem needs sorted now.
  10. Didn't see many if anyone shouting about sacking the board when we knocked the unwashed out of the Scottish cup or when we beat Aberdeen and Hearts at Ibrox,Yet it's the same board who gave the go-ahead for all these players. It seems to be a trait with people when we get the wrong result that the board are easy targets to throw under the bus when things go wrong, Rather than look at the real problem of seriously underperforming players on the pitch which is the real problem and nothing to do with the board, These are the same players who played in the above results and everyone i take it was overjoyed. The answer it seems from some in our support is everytime a result goes against us it's the boards fault when the finger of blame should be directed at those on the pitch. I think some people should buckle up and hold tight as the hard times are far from over and there will still be a lot more pain to come before anything get's better and in the case of some on here a nervous breakdown is just around the corner. We all knew it would be a long and difficult road back to the top, but some just think the answer is to throw everyone under the bus or throw absolute millions at the team which wouldn't guarantee nothing but would also be a huge risk if it didn't work. Patience is a virtue but sadly something that many Rangers fans don't have or will except, Myself included in that. I'm no fan of this board, But you can't blame everything on the board when the players they gave contracts too have underperformed and suit themselves on a near weekly basis and more so when they have long contracts and can't be forced out the door unless they receive big payoffs which would cost a fortune we don't have.
  11. We have a decent record at home,But our problems seem to be when we play away. How can some sit on here and say the players aren't good enough,Nobody said nothing about the players when we knocked the unwashed out of the Scottish cup,Nobody said nothing about the players when we beat both Aberdeen and Hearts at Ibrox and looked very good in both games. That proves that these same players can play well when they want to but seem to have a mental block when playing away from home and that good play goes out the window for whatever reason. Today was just yet another example of players who go from hero's to zero's in a week,Looked disinterested,Not quick enough on releasing the ball,Wrong passes,Giving the ball away in silly positions and the throw in's are an absolute joke when you constantly throw the ball to the opposition players and lose the ball and then find themselves under pressure. McKay is the most overated player at Ibrox who bottles out of any 50/50 tackles,Loses the ball far to often and his crosses into the box are absolutely dire and has the heart of a mouse. Andy "Backpass" Halliday is another that you have to ask what it will take to drop this guy,He's deplorable and yet another who hardly has a good game and needs dropped asap. Garner despite his goal is still a very poor player given what we paid for him and apart from his goal did absolutely nothing and then got himself a stupid booking which puts him out against the mankies. Really don't know also why Murty played Hyndman in a deeper role in midfield when his best position is in an attacking role and left him having no impact on the game,Where also was Toral today ? I would have played Hyndman,Toral and Forrester today in midfield and would have stopped Dundee walking over our midfield today and gave us a bit more going forward. Poor performance and bodies need dropping, We play Inverness next Friday and unless things are changed we could see yet another poor performance and possible defeat by bottom table Inverness and i wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if we were beaten. The highs and more often the lows of being a Rangers supporter and absolutely tragic the position we find ourselves in now.
  12. Wouldn't want the unwashed near our stadium given the damage they caused by setting things on fire.
  13. I don't think it's a case of they don't care but more of a case of not having the cash to put a team on the park and fix the stadium,Total catch 22 situation and as the stadium get's worse the more expensive it will be to fix,At present we live on a hand to mouth existence with soft loans. In most normal circumstances the stadium would be fine and just the team needing improved or the team would be a reasonable standard but work needed done to the stadium. We find ourselves in a situation where we have the worst scenario, We have a stadium that's been neglected for years and a team on the park that is sub-standard which won't win nothing and is really poor. At times i reckon it may be a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul such is our circumstances at present and i can't see anything changing anytime soon. Ibrox stadium is one of the most iconic stadiums in world football and in my eyes the facade is a national treasure,Combined with the rest of the stadium we still have one of the best stadiums in Europe and the finest in Scotland by a country mile, If those in charge can't get the investment to even tackle the entire clean up and repair of the stadium,They should step aside and move on and buy a season ticket. I really think the job at hand is far to big for them because they themselves don't have the finance and are relying on soft loans, What happens when people no longer wish to give us soft loans as they can't keep giving us millions of pounds. Like everything at Rangers they always do things the hard way, Most of the work on the stadium exterior is nothing more than a vanity clean up involving nothing more than some paint and water, At times i think they want no help because they simply want to take all the credit for doing so and perhaps see others offering to help as handouts and embarrassing. What it actually is isn't a hand out or embarrassing, But merely people who have a great love and desire for their football club willing to come together and help through tough times If it was a case of not wanting every Tom,Dick or Harry turning up, They could simply write up a list of things needing done within reason and get the skilled people to do it free gratis and as a way of thanks give them some tickets for a match, If a company owner offered free work they could easily offer them a hospitality package as a way of thanks,The club gets the work done at no cost and the company get a lovely day out at Ibrox.
  14. Many many people have offered their services,Tradesmen and others all wanting to help out and all been knocked back. The prime reason always quoted is health and safety,The club seems to suit itself at times,When the club organize a card display and look for people to help there never seems to be a problem with people walking around and health and safety is never mentioned. For obvious reasons there may be things needing done and done correctly which only a skilled person could do,Point is that skilled people have offered their services free gratis. There is nothing difficult let's say in painting a door and something most people can do,But i get the impression that those at the club maybe think people would get paint over the walls and carpets or people offering to fix plumbing will turn up with a roll of ductape and a pair of molegrips or a painter will turn up with a £2 set of brushes from B&Q. I offered to paint some of the metal barriers out of my own pocket,Offered to turn up with a decent pressure washer and big long hose and pressure wash the slabs outside the Broomloan and Copland stands and all they had to supply was a water connection and a cup of tea and was knocked back. As far as i'm aware we have the grand sum of 1 yes 1 full time painter and decorator tackling everything that needs done both inside and outside the stadium and there is a shitload of stuff to do. What also are the groundstaff doing ? They are not only there to look after the pitch but the general upkeep of the stadium,It's already been highlighted on this thread about the gate at the corner of the Govan and Copland where it looks an absolute mess and paint all hanging from it,Paint also shouldn't flake off metal if the correct procedures are used and good probability that the wrong paint has been used or not keyed properly. It's silly little things like the gate that really annoys people as these are the things that are easiest to fix but seems to get ignored,When it's being brought to attention by the fans then someone who works at Ibrox everyday isn't really doing their job nor paying attention.
  15. Of course he's going to say that,Waghorn has been pretty poor and at times couldn't hit a cow on the arse with a banjo,For a pro football player that likes to tell everyone about the extra special practice he's paying for to improve his shooting, It doesn't seem to be working,He has no confidence nor the ability to hit the ball at anytime with his right foot, He constantly tries to move the ball onto his left foot when it would be easier to just hit it with his right. MOH was signed on the basis of one good game against Rangers at Ibrox.
  16. We can't afford to buy decent players and you want investors in to build a new stadium,Regardless how old it is,It's the best football stadium in Scotland and one of the best in Europe. Priority is on the pitch not a new stadium.
  17. Granted Jim might not be everyones cup of tea, I've met him a few times and came across as a decent guy and feel the majority will feel the same who have dealt with him,He's put 30yrs of his life into the club and started at the very bottom,Let's not try and rubbish the man because a couple of people have had bad experiences with him. All the Best Jim and hope you have a happy retirement and thank you for your 30yrs service to the club.

  19. We should be targeting a manager right now instead of messing about, If we wait till the summer and we have qualified for Europe it means a new manager will have around 4 weeks until our first qualifying game,Targeting players and getting them to come could take a couple of weeks,Which would leave two weeks until first qualifiers. He won't also have the option of watching our players if the season has ended,Providing it's someone who doesn't know or has watched the team.
  20. 30,000 at Ibrox against a team 3rd in the championship live on tv, Unwashed play on a day when people prefer to go to football against Premiership opposition,Live on tv and can only muster 25,000. Maybe they are all saving up for valentines day. Good crowd today given the circumstances.
  21. Our home record in Europe is deplorable and that was with much better teams than we have now. The only thing good about European football would be the extra income,European teams are much better now even from the shite country's,Hearts were knocked out of Europe by a team from Malta. There would also be some decent teams in the qualifying rounds.
  22. Here's my take on it. Warburton's agent has made known to him that the Forrest job is there if he wants it, Warburton then makes it clear to an official that him and Weir wish to leave and the club being unhappy about our situation come to an agreement. Bear in mind Forrest need a manager and appoint two people from their youth team short term, The Forrest owner then meets Warburton in London and tells Warburton he wants him and Weir to take over in the summer,That then gives them time to select players they want to bring to Forrest. Warburton returns to Rangers and informs the club the move won't be happening until the summer and wants to continue until the end of the season and then he will leave, Perhaps at this time the club would have told Warburton that both party's agreed to terminate his and Weir's deal on the basis of he would be joining Forrest in the summer. That would mean Warburton and Weir would be idle until the summer without a club and have perhaps insisted that they now stay in charge until the summer and then leave. This is perhaps were the confusion is coming from, All party's agreed to terminate and Warburton and Weir have tried to pull a fast one by insisting they leave in the summer,Rangers have then looked at the situation and thought it would just prolong things and knowing they weren't impressed have decided the deal will stand. Hence perhaps why Warburton is trying to save face by claiming he knows nothing about this claiming he hasn't resigned and trying to fool those not aware of any deal. I also think the board are just as guilty of trying to pull the wool over fans eyes if indeed they have made a deal last Monday and allowing Warburton to still take training and allowing him to sit in front of the media at a press conference and lie through his teeth as if nothing was wrong and still claiming he was away speaking to a coach about a player knowing he was lying through his teeth and the board were also aware of what was going on when he was sitting in front of the media,Happy in the knowledge they knew he was lying to our support and the media. Think we have all had enough lies over the last few years without this board and our management team doing it also. Remember also we have only heard one side of the story and no doubt Warburton and Weir will have a totally different story to tell which will be the opposite of what our board are saying. Really difficult to trust anyone at the club now given what they all knew and tried to hide from us and told a pack of lies.
  23. This is what i mean about the club, Even after releasing two statements people are still none the wiser about what is going on. I also don't understand this compensation problem, If the story's are correct about Forrest having to pay £1.2m in compensation, Wouldn't it be common sense to pay if true the £700k to the three of them and the club would gain £500k. Wouldn't it also make sense to agree to let the three of them go without compensation and take the compensation from Forrest if the three of them were really wanting to go. Allowing them to go without paying compensation to them and then agreeing to waive any fee from Forrest in my opinion is bad business. If SKY reports are true that Warburton met with the Forrest owner then Warburton would be in breach of his contract and Forrest would be guilty of tapping our manager which is illegal, But then again maybe the board were aware Warburton was away meeting with the Forrest owner.
