I was actually daft enough to stick £20 on Aberdeen today. I was suckered in by the 9/2 odds. There was a good reason they were that price, fuck knows what I was thinking.

For absolutely no reason whatsoever I have the feeling this could be the time they beat them as well. Price is around 7/2 I think, worth a few quid I reckon.

They are in no way whatsoever comparable to that Ajax team. They don't even play the same sport.

Ive seen a couple and as much as I admire Ajax the games weren't exactly enjoyable. I.e., they gave us an absolute doing in both of them.

They are one foreign club I truly don't like. Don't get me wrong, they are great to watch but them and their fans give off the impression of being right up themselves. Plus they seem to get every decision going. Maybe they don't but it seems that way to me.

Would be great if they or Porto were to win it. Highly unlikely granted but Ajax especially would have restored a lot of peoples faith in football the other night. That is a fact and its probably why he has left. That lot are saying hes went to a smaller club and they cant get their heads round it. The players they can push the boat out for are maybe in the 6-7 million pound bracket and that in no way guarantees quality anymore, to do that you have to pay more than 10 million usually. If we spend what we have wisely then we will match them. I think that is one of the reason Rodgers left as well as the fact that he got a rude awakening a fortnight ago against Valencia at parkhead. That game made him realise that the squad he had was miles away from being able to play his style and be successful against even a decent European team.

Well that is a shock and no mistake. Went to watch Talbot playing wick in an earlier round and they were the better team but not by much. Didn't think they could beat Cove Rangers in the next round never mind Ayr utd, bearing in mind just a few weeks ago ayr put 5 on Dundee utd. Unbelievable really but they deserved it.

That's about the size of it. No doubt we have improved but we struggle badly against any team that sits in, it doesn't even have to be a good team. We need more quality in midfield to break these teams down.
