  1. Brilliant. Dermot Desmond - fit and proper person. These bar stewards have PhDs in irony. In terms of tax avoidance Craig Shyte - 3rd Division Highland Shinty League. (No Sir) David Murray Scottish Division 3. Dermot Desmond - Champions League 'Invincible'. A proper criminal. So hope HMRC get in amongst him. Won't hold my breath though.
  2. Haha - it does for anyone that lives or has lived anywhere near Tayside and has had to put up with the vile hatred for decades!
  3. You're dead right - every single one of them have skeletons
  4. Anyone else got any similar putdowns for haters from other hater clubs? Sellik too much of an open goal - even Patrick Roberts couldn't fail to score with them - immoral and criminal to the core.
  5. Foremost amongst the Sporting Integrity hypocrites were many Scumdee Utd fans. As Eliot Ness brilliantly observed in a recent blog (see Handwringers Reunited), Dundee Utd’s most successful period (under Jim McCleen) happened at a time when they were adopting what ultimately proved to be unlawful contracts. Have found the perfect way to silence them: just quote @abolishchildslavery @striptheforfarshirecup They simply can't handle it. All these hypocrites can dish it out plenty, but they can't take it 54 And Counting (despite the last 6 tainted titles)
  6. Absolutely brilliant article - well done Eliot Ness. Sums up these bar stewards in 1 word - HYPOCRITES. Every 1 of their clubs has bent the rules whenever it suited them. Shellick are bankrolled by one of the world's premier tax dodgers for God sake. Imagine a world where Celtic had a big tax case and Rangers had their history in relation to paedophilia. What a different world it would be!!
  7. Rumour?????????? Mind you, don't think Barry or Derek Fergosn are closely related to Albert Einstein either.
  8. Think that's the problem. I reckon Pedro is a leader of men - just that the magic Hat never left us with any
  9. Absolutely measured and insightful summary of where we are now in terms terms of pr from A McKellar - thanks for that. Sadly we are currently way behind Celtic on the playing front - no surprise when Liewell and his collaborators throughout Scottish football did their utmost to extinguish us. In terms of pr though we are not even Highland League class compared with Celtic's Goebbels propaganda machine. I find it incredulous that we allow Jim Traynor or his company anywhere near pr for Rangers - and to pay them cash for his services is yet another of the many crimes against our club in the last 5/6 years. Like others I hope the board see this post and I hope they invite Mr McKellar in to discuss how we might go forward from here as he clearly has so much more gumption as to what we need to do compared with anyone that's currently responsible for pr at the club.
  10. This. A club like no other - Whining since 1888.
  11. Kevin McKenna is a self- confessed Sellik slaverer. Almost never writes anything about us. Writes mainly for the Guardian and Herald and the former's readers must think there is only 1 team in Scottish football and does he big them up or does he big them up? As one commentator said - his articles read like a Shellick fanzine - bigging up the All Shellick do is Saintly myth at every opportunity.
  12. It's effectively a no.3 position so you're not likely to get an experienced guy unless a failed one (a la Barry Ferguson) or an older one e.g. John Brown, Jimmy Nichol (I'd take either of them). Fair dos if Kenny Miller's to stay with the u20s - seems sensible. Neil McCann's got a good football brain and clearly knows what playing for the Gers is all about - fair enough for a no.3.
  13. Barry Ferguson - thanks but no thanks. Troublemaker. Failed coach - not once but twice. Not good enough. Not convinced re Lee McCulloch. happy with either Kenny Miller or Neil McCann , preferably the latter.
  14. Hadn't spotted that - pity as that will indeed rule him out
  15. Please not Barry Ferguson!!!!!! Brainless and clearly garbage as a coach and manager.
  16. Neil McCann the obvious choice - got both a brain and a footballing brain too
  17. Barry Ferguson would be way out of his depth too. Was way out of his depth at Blackpool and Clyde - how on earth would he have the presence, knowledge and talent to turn things around - never in a million years not even as a coach. The only way he should be back at Ibrox is as a host at hospitality
  18. I'd take the Bomber in some capacity but please not Barry Ferguson
  19. Don't know how on earth the OP could have missed out Mark Walters - phenomenal player - way better than anyone playing in the SPeeL these days. Definitely Walters for Francis. Great player Francis but he was pretty done when he came to us and didn't even score for us in outfield play though scored a peach of a penalty in a League Cup final win over the Sheep. Francis and Drinkell on the bench well before West, Gordon or Jeffers.
  20. Hope you're right OAB - things have gone in cycles with us and the mhanks over history and 5 years ago I truly believed we'd be back stronger - beginning to despair a bit now. KAI's right - we're way behind where I thought we'd be by this stage given the strength of our fan base and his assessment of all the facets of our club is hard to argue with. Our problem is Scotland is a backwater for football and football investment. Sellik unfortunately are miles head of us and have DD's dhodgy billions to underwrite them. Agree King needs to come clean about his wealth and put his money into our club or sell up though the only problem with that is that any alternative consortium might have even less cash than the current crew. Still hoping for a Holmes-Souness type miracle but more realistically someone that can offer us much more progress than the"Magic" Hat's 6 months in the 2nd division. We're going to be lucky to get someone with talent that wants to take on the dross that the Magic Hat has left behind.
  21. I'm no accountant so the subtleties of financial accounting are beyond me but I still reckon the Minty One underwrote that share issue with 'money' from the BoS rather than his own personal fortune. Sadly it seems clear that the present board don't have the financial clout to make much of a dent in the current horrendous gap between us and sellik who are ironically propped up by a Champion League tax dhodger. It may be that this board are the best we can hope for given the backwater of a (football) market we're operating. Saw someone say that the way things are going it could be 15IAR. A nightmare scenario but it seems clear that things are going to take a hell of a long time to sort out - it shouldn't be beyond someone (unlike the Magic Hat) to sign players who he can improve and add value to and give us some good football and some players with some dig, passion and honesty. The legacy of the past 5 years (and the Minty One together with put us in that position together with the bar stewards at HMRC - and who knows what role John Reid et al played in that) does, however, mean that few talented and ambitious managers will be prepared to take on a club with such a feeble array of playing talent. Mind you, I hope against hope that I'm proved wrong.
  22. It was all smoking mirrors with the Minty one - it seems to me that he put sod all of his own cash in. At least Dave King put £20m of his own cash in then to be added to the gazzillions Minty borrowed from the BoS. The last time we had a professional board was when David Holmes was in charge. Am a total loss as to where we go from here - sadly no David Holmes or Souness likely to be unearthed anytime soon.
  23. Fair do's - just building on it to add to frustration at the meaningless soundbites coming from the players, MW, James Traynor or whoever
  24. Ibrox is just fine - sadly (because MW is a decent guy) we have to change the Office Manager. His signings, particularly his Head of Recruitment, have been beyond belief. Could keep buying into the project if there were signs of progress and there was some prospect of catching up with Sellik on the horizon but we're struggling to cope with Aberdeen and Hearts who have 20-25% of our budget for players and , in all honesty, any SPL team and a good few in the Championship could take points off us - that's not tenable 18 months into your tenure. The model was also supposed to be adding value to young players to sell on at a profit - unbelievable that even this straightforward target hasn't been achieved. We appear to have totally wasted the small (though 2nd best in Scotland) budget we have for players but still have no defenders or strikers (barring a 37 year old) worthy of the name. As I say, the Office Manager is a decent guy - he should now have the decency to pass the baton on to someone else without delay.
