Talking about last night

He is targeted by other players because he he clearly gets wound up. 9 times out of 10 they stop short of fouling him. He has to be smarter. What is ‘excessive force’ when it comes to your nut sack? I know a flick is enough to put me in agony, never mind a football boot with Alf’s weight on it ffs 😂 Not saying bias. Saying he doesn’t make it difficult. He does it far to often, to the point last night he contributed nothing else. Depends how far simulation goes. He barged the defender and went down. Tried to buy a penalty. Never a pen.

I’m raging because that’s all has done in the last two games. I never once thought he was in any danger of scoring a fucking goal last night which I expect minimum of a striker. When other strikers do it, they do it once, they don’t put all their energy into it and contribute nothing else.

His diving, play acting and kicking out give him a reputation or make his bad reputation worse. His reputation naturally makes referees look at what he’s doing more closely. So when he barges a defender and then hits the ground like a ton of bricks he gets booked. Some refs might give other players the benefit of doubt. He was sent off for pressing his foot on Mckenna’s plums. Again he’s got previous. Mckenna got sent off for the kick in the face 🤷‍♂️

Great players do it consistently in the big games. I never once said he was shite. My opinion is if he put half the effort into playing the game as he does trying to wind up CBs, kicking out and diving he’d firing in the big games. If you think we are getting anywhere near £15m for him on this form (if it continues) it you who needs their head examined.

His actions are. His reputation is getting him scrutiny.

I think he’d have the same rep and have a similar amount of bans, yes. How often does he dive, feign injury or kick out and nothing is done about it? In this case it definitely balances out. Enjoy his cheeky grin when he’s burying teams and winding them up, but hate it when it’s costing us in the big games.

If you think the Hamilton and Dundee games genuinely raised his price you need to have a rethink. Its the big games that counts. The big games separate the Boyces, moults - fuck even John Daly from being top scorers in Scotland to big money players.

Morelos disgusted me. His diving and play acting is well out of hand. The worst of it is he’s bad at it. He’s fooling nobody. Could have saw red tonight, fortunate not to. If he put as much energy into playing the game and using his undoubted talent as he does kicking out, diving, play acting and generally getting into bother he’d be the £20m striker his talent deserves. His mind cannot seem to cope with big games. He’s definitely got the ability but his brains or lack of is making me cringe. best thing Gerrard did post match is not make Morelos out to be a victim because he’s fucking not.

Simple comparison... We beat the sheep last season 3 times and drew 1 time. They had a stronger squad then, and we had a weaker one. We have won 1, Drew 1, lost 1 in the league and been papped out 2 cups from them this season. Doesnt get much simpler than that. SG has come in and brought in 19 players, spent £3m on Goldson, god knows how many million on Barasic, Katic and Grezda. Coupled with Arfield, McGregor, Defoe and Davis wages.... This season has been an unmitigated failure and anybody who points to the European group stage run against 3 sides in utter chaos and we still didn’t get out the group is in cuckoo land.

Considering we beat a stronger Aberdeen side 3 times in two months last season and drew the 4th fixture with a weaker Rangers side tells me we are worse.

It’s true. A lot of posters don’t agree he goes missing in big games and when he doesn’t he gets sent off. The boy needs to score in the big games. The last two matches have put to bed any notion he’s a £15-£20m striker atm. He’s young and will improve. But his goal record is no better than Boyce, Daly or Moult. What made them low transfer fees was the fact they didn’t cut it in the big games. Hope he scores a Hat-trick against Korea and proves me wrong

This. Kamara has made an uncharacteristic error. Shouldn’t deflect to the quality he has brought. He will be one of our better players for seasons to come as long as he puts this game behind him.
