flecky1 4 Posted May 22, 2009 Share Posted May 22, 2009 technique and pace, he would run riot up here. why is he not in our market? if the quoted 2m or even 3m is his price, why not? no one knows what we will do in pre season, we could make 15m from champs league and around 10m from several players leaving, surely some of that will be going towards defending our title next year if we win it, then we have the income we get every other year as well, merchandise, season tickets, advertising and all that. this will be a massive summer for us the debt could be wiped out in one summer, this summer. but im not saying it will be, its not very likely sdm will give every penny we make to the banks, though they will get a fair wedge of our income. I'd be more than happy to pay 4m for him, but we aint got that kind of cash anymore to spend on 1 man. Only way this would happen is if we get a good fee for Bazza, Mcgregor and some dead wood and try snap Derbyshire up for 2-3m. Him and Boydy up front would be a joy to watch!
