dummiesoot 16,181
Walter please take note, two wingers, two forwards and closing men down - not that difficult is it?
TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
Good to see us with some width finally - didn't resort to pumping high balls up to the Strikers so we avoided playing to Dundee Uniteds strengths very, very good performance tonight - lets hope we keep it up
SammyEnglish 48
we looked a lot more threatening with 2 wingers that have pace, every goal came through them

Andy 69
The one time Novo burst his arse to close down Sean Dillon who in turn passed it out for a throw, had to applaud. From a lump up the park from us to what seemed comfortable possession for UTD, who usually keep it well to a Throw in in their half, Workrate was fantastic. MikeBlue 136
Odd isn't it? After weeks of poor performances, often with a very static midfield using two holding players, we have reverted to a very straightforward system with holding and attacking CMs, two wide players and a couple of strikers. Oh - and a RB who can actually defend. My theory is that the European matches have clouded our management team's thinking and that the type of team selection that Smith thinks is needed in Europe has influenced what he puts out in the SPL. Our exit from Europe has resulted in a reassessment of what is needed in the SPL and they have realised that against most of the SPL a simple attacking formation is all that is required - our players are better than theirs and will win. Will be interesting to see what Smith does against Celtic. Obviously just my opinion - I have no inside knowledge that this is the case.
djgazbcm 55
yes as most of us have been saying for months ....the line up tonight must be heeded and indured... novo should always be persevered with, beasley has so much to prove, davis IS a central midfielder, and boyd and miller ARE a partnership.. and talking bout partnerships ,novo/papac and beasley/broadfoot looked the part ,and even mcculloch looked good cause davis was beside him ffs ... WE MOSTLY ALL HAVE BEEN CRYING OUT FOR SUCH ALL SEASON and almost half a season on SMITH EVENTUALLY SEES IT .. we have the personnel ,always have done ,its the prick that chooses them thats been the problem...
