BILL.I.AM 18
Silly question here ...In the Blue Corner when have Craig Whyte, self confessed Rangers fan who is willing to pump in somewhere between £25 to £50m into RangersIn the other Blue Corner we have Paul Murray, Dave King etc who are willing to pump in a minium of £25m then more on the back of a share issue underwritten by other Rangers minded people. Now .... if those 2 parties got together & thrashed out a deal between them all, we could have a potential investment of £100m, with no bank debt.If they really & truely are RANGERS men, then can't they put their differences aside & work together to turn the club around ??I could invest £100,000 into a bakery at the end of my street or I could invest £1,ooo,ooo into it but the turnover would be similar. We just need the debt cleared and a enough money to have us challenging for silverware every season and progressing to a respectable level in Europe.I used bakery as an example as i'm choking for a mexican chicken oval bite from greggs

It is best to have one party with a majority control and leadership. Plus why on earth would we want anyone anyone currently involved in our club's meltdown continuing? Get rid of the entire board, simple.

Broxi1872 183
Craig Whyte is set to meet members of the Rangers board next week to explain further his takeover plans for the Ibrox club. After months of protracted negotiations, the Scottish tycoon was expected to complete his buy-out of the club earlier in the week after agreeing a deal with majority shareholder Sir David Murray and main creditor Lloyds Banking Group. However, his offer, worth a reported £52.5million, has been put on hold after doubts were cast on its merits by Rangers chairman Alastair Johnston, who pledged to explore a shock plan B.Johnston, in his capacity as chairman of the independent committee set up to review the takeover with other board members, revealed the alternative plan in a statement on the club's official website which would see a "fresh issue of new capital to raise £25million to be invested directly into the club".It is believed director Paul Murray is the man fronting a consortium and who met with namesake David Murray only last week to discuss his proposal. If the late bid is successful, manager-in-waiting Ally McCoist will reportedly be given a lump sum to refurbish the threadbare Ibrox squad for the start of next season.Whyte's camp has poured scorn on the alternative proposal and it is understood that the Motherwell-born businessman remains clear and confident that he will be the next owner of Rangers.London-based Whyte will gladly get round the table again with the Rangers board to explain his position, but will go into the meeting in a no-nonsense mood, determined to push through his plans. It means the takeover saga will drag on for at least another week and probably longer, but Whyte's camp are adamant that their man will fight it out.Whyte's bid has been the only serious proposal on the table since the latter stages of 2010 and would see him take over 75% of Murray's shareholding, with London-based property developer Andrew Ellis becoming a 25% partnerhttp://www.teamtalk.com/rangers/6888373/Whyte-set-for-takeover-talks?
