Hi everyone my name is Steven Taylor and im a soldier currently serving in our British Army and a life long Rangers fan.I am 27 years old and have been in the Royal Engineers for 11 years.

After one of my many visits to the Rangers web site I noticed that they were appealing for a lunatic to volunteer to run the London marathon in April this year, and after a few phone call I was the lucky lunatic chosen.

I am so proud to have been given this opportunity to be the ONLY runner running for our team, so today I'm asking for all of your help to give anything you can afford by visiting my charity page at http://www.justgiving.com/steven-sorelegs-taylor

If everyone just gave £1 we would be well on out way to smash this target, Please dig deep guys..... All for an amazing cause!!! I know its the middle of the month, but every little helps... Thank you

The money will go straight to The Rangers Charity Foundation and they will share it between their chosen charities which are UNICEF and the PROSTATE CANCER CHARITY.

Thank you so much for reading every penny raised will help to change real peoples lives, like mine and yours, for the better, please help us.

honestly mate, you will be a lot fitter than me (not in that way tho!! :craphead: ), i done 1 days training thinking it would be a breeze, just wanted to do it for the experience, finally got through on the ballot system and just went for it, wife kept nagging saying i will probably die going round etc, but what does she know!!! :craphead: adrenalin got me round but i was chaffed to hell and my feet were burst open underneath, if doing it again i would defo train, as even tho i finished,in 5 hours 2 mins the last few miles were torture and i was literally walking, the train the next day up the road wasnt much fun either!!

Fellow Gers,

This is Stevens wife Natalie here, I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU, to each and everyone of you! Having your support is making this so much more of an experience for Steven and he is so overwhelmed with the support that you are all showing him! He said that he can not describe what a great feeling it is having you all donate and not even know him, he is truly touched buy the amount on kindness that has been shown!! You are all true fans who support not only a great team but each other! Not many other people can say that!!

He has now gone away for a week AGAIN with the Army for a weeks exercise, so I just wanted to see how much we can get his sponsorship money up for him on his return!! His working so hard to achieve this and i'm so so proud of him!

I also wanted to say thank you all, it's just been amazing!!!

Thank you!

Natalie x

Walter should pin this up on the dressing room wall. It may remind our players what this means to our fans...Not that they should need reminding anyway, but every little bit helps.

best of luck, mate! No Surrender. :21:
