Aye and things are going swimmingly now, arent they?

no but unless someone had a fucking fortune then any takeover would simply result in us either cutting massively in the squad dept or running up more debt

remember colin that the previous regime looked good because of the CL money, without that we were up the creek, AJ and co would simply have hidden behind Lloyds this season had we fucked up europe with them in charge

Possibly, but were the previous board who were actively involved worse and more unreliable than Whyte?

Yes but at least we wouldn't be 17 points behind the Tarriers and probably would have at least signed players before the champions league qualifier against malmo and would have been in with a chance of qualifying.

you think Lloyds would have released funds to spend on the squad without guaranteed euro income

remember the media reported that Lloyds wanted to slash this seasons wage budget by a couple of million if they were still in charge, that would have been great eh

no but they didnt get the final say, Lloyds 18mill loan and 15mill overdraft did, and fuck having a bank in charge when our extra euro revenue didnt materialise

At least we knew where we stood with the bank. Whyte was the self proclaimed saviour who has led us deeper into the gutter with a string of lies and broken promises behind him.

Exactly

Guy a fraud, how he has done this unbelievable

Looks to me like he has came to Rangers to enrich himself, his mates and his other companies

i agree were in trouble the now mate, but imagine how jittery Lloyds would have been had we fucked up european revenue under them

a potential tax bill looming also, they would have done anything to get their money back, and that means selling every decent asset in the squad or putting us in administration

would we have been better off with a team like this

Alexander

Broadfoot

Weir

Perry

Papac

Davis

Edu

McCulloch

Lafferty

Kerkar

Healy

and a bench consisting of fleck, gallacher and god knows what other untested youths

Would we have had the money to sign Weir and Healey up for another season? Doubtful. I see your point though but to be honest I would rather we had to go with youths this season if it had meant avoiding administration.

Of course we knew where we stood with the bank, aj that irrepresible chairy person was he claimed told in no uncertain terms, get in the way of the Whyte deal and we will pull the rug, simples. 10310.gif

what difference would it have made mate, losing the tax case under Lloyds regime might well have meant administration anyway, but at least the now we still have the core of a decent squad

Administration under Lloyds/Old regime after a massive player sale to recoup their 18mill would mean we have absolutely nothing of value at the club
